    This guy should be Honda’s in-house consultant for any retro bikes. He’s got impeccable taste. His bikes look like they came from the factory as special editions.

  • @WalkerKlondyke

    It's clear these bikes are being built to be ridden and enjoyed on the street for years. Classic Honda, not customized to a mental degree, but, just enough to look very special and work forever. It would be wonderful if 5Four did an ultra limited edition with details like glass master cylinder reservoir, inverted forks, rearsets and so on. Great vid! Beautiful bikes! Well done 5Four!

    Nice job spud, there's an old engineering saying if it looks right it usually is right & that thing looks on the money it's what a bike should look like. Was impressed with what he did with that norton given the limits of what he could change shame it all went pear shaped, but this beats it hands down hope mr coles got his cheque book out for one.

    I like guy's work, he seems like a top bloke. The bike is far, far better looking than anything Honda managed as standard. If he's up for it, he should persuade Honda to do another couple of runs in slightly different styles. Only downside is it's still based on an expensive, underpowered, heavy bike.

      Rob BikeBob Twin shocks vs a Mono Shock never has the same handling but people really want the “look” of twin shocks. The Kawa throw back handles better with the single shock also.

    You had me at the tank’s hidden pinch-weld; a gift from the production line? I wish Triumph’s “classic” models would follow suit with a clean sculptured tank rather than the tin toy exposed pinch-weld unit they stamp out.

    • @motobob
      @motobob  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      True - although they did a seamless tank on the Scrambler 1200. I saw on one of the Bike Shed's Triumphs that they'd hidden it a bit with a black rubber finishing strip

    • @UncleWally3
      @UncleWally3 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      MOTOBOB. Yep, I’ve seen a few use that invisible tape trick. Of course, it only draws the eye to the blemish. That said, the Scrambler 1200 tank does look good, but it also acknowledges something ought to have been addressed in the first place.
