John, you keep that woman happy. Erin is old school, smart, tuff, resilient, calm , and collected. Most importantly, she got her man home safe! You two are definitely kinderd spirits.
So glad you had Erin there with you!!! Pretty sure we're all in awe of her love, dedication & brute force STRENGTH & endurance!!! Thanks, Erin, for taking such good care of Jon, & being such a trooper!!! Also, those drifts behind the trees at 7:13!! Amazing drone footage, once again!
Hey Guys, injuries usually happen when they’re least expected. But as my mother used to say at 97, “It is what it is”. How can you not be proud of Erin, her courage, fortitude and caring was inspiring!!! Recovery is something that is hard. I spent the majority of 2022 bedridden, first, had my varicose veins removed, then a hip replacement, then pneumonia. I thought I’d need a knee replacement but the hip surgery took a lot of strain off my knee. The hardest thing was not being able to hike or canoe, but I got through it, and so will you!
I’m a 62 year old woman and have camped in very remote areas in the USA and Canada. Thirty years ago I got certified as a Wilderness First Responder and have been ever since. It has brought me much peace of mind to be able to assess, treat and rule out various medical issues and conditions for both myself and others when far away from civilisation. Congrats on getting yourselves out of a potentially very bad situation and good luck to both of you!
We have great sympathy for your injury. Walking a neighborhood trail just after my retirement, I fell and parted the main tendon at the knee. Trying to get out did the same thing to the other knee. So then I had to crawl out the rest of the way through the blackberries to the road and a rescue. Six months in rigid braces. More than a year before I could hike again. My wife tore her miniscus just like you on a steep set of stairs accessing an old railroad trail. Getting her up the stairs and into the car alone was very hard. Again a slow recovery. We both caution you against reinjury. Easier said than done. So sorry for this monkey wrench thrown into your life. Here is an idea for a theme of a project you could work on in recovery. Access to nature for temporarily and permenently disabled people. You have the most magnificant partner ever! Wishing you good steady recovery.

I have searched for a woman like Erin all my life but no luck. Jon you are blessed to have found such a treasure in Erin. Jon have you ever considered getting a dog? A strong dog so he could help Erin pull you out of fairly sticky situations. I have done a lot of wilderness camping from Alaska and across Canada but mainly Ontario with my dogs Argus, Ryus and Bodi. Well hope you heal up fast Jon watching your adventures is better than any Hollywood movies. You two rock!
Thanks so much Ed! She is a treasure. Thought about a dog but it adds certain complications I'm not ready for and I'd feel bad putting them through extreme temps and bugs
When you dig deep you dig deep. Hats off to Erin. These things are never predictable, but at least you had the resources to survive, and the sled, and the resilience and fortitude to get out of there with a break in the weather. Successful but painful expedition. You live to camp another day.
Thank you for documenting this. It is a great lesson for people in the outdoors. That even if you do everything right and r prepared (which u always are) that things can go wrong and out of your control. Most people prob would have just turned the camera off and told the story after. U and Erin r the real deal!! 👊
Always prepared? Not really he's forgot his dry foods several times and that's not the only thing that's left him unprepared. He is almost never prepared. Knee pain is no joke. They take a long time to heal. Wishing you as speedy a recovery as possible. Erin you are a Beast, that could not have been an easy haul!
Omg girl, you did great hauling John out. What a tall task, and you did it. Awesome work. You saved his life and yours. Stand proud. John, l hope you get better soon. I wish you a speedy recovery. I love watching your videos. They are fun and informative. I'm looking forward to watching more in the future.
Your lady’s a beast and in a good way. As for the zoleo, you have it for a reason, use it. Air ambulance is there, OPP helicopter is there, SAR is there, and then there is the local search and rescue. And just because the leg feels good when you think it is, wait another month and then try it when your doctor says you can. Happy healing.
After tearing my meniscus in a very similar-sounding way and having it repaired, the weeks I was stuck in bed to heal left me watching your videos, and they kept me very entertained. Thank you guys for what you do and I'm wishing you a speedy recovery! (My guess is that the meniscus was torn years ago and that the way your knee turned flipped the tear out into the joint preventing it from extending)
Jon, I certainly hope your recovery goes smoothly and you will be out doing what you love best soon. Erin, you are one hell of a trouper! I want to mention one thing to the both of you. Whenever you receive negative comments, whether here, or in other video's, remember one thing. It always says more about the person commenting than anything about you. Most always those come from insecure people. Best wishes - from Little Canada
Oh wow this was actually hard to watch I could almost feel it all. I really wish you a strong recovery Jon, seeing Erin pull you was pretty emotional. You two are an amazing team.
Thanks for the reality check. Kudos to Erin for getting you out safely and not injuring herself in the process. I believe a Zoleo is in my future. I’ve spent my life in the back country, mostly solo, and have had many “close calls”. Can’t help but feel the clock it ticking until I find myself in a similar situation. Anyway, hope recovery continues and your spring / summer adventures are doable. Cheers.
You guys are locked into each other! What a fit. You speak your observations and learnings out loud so us viewers can’t let go, waiting for you to pass on the next tidbit. You are so grounded and think beyond your years. Just being yourselves is gold! Our planet needs more Jon and Erin’s to quietly lead us by example. Keep doing what you’re doing and be well!
Yes, she is a hero! But most importantly these are the the things you do for those you love. Only someone who loves you would do what she did -- cheerfully, compassionately, and with kindness, love and care. This video, to me, is such a heartwarming and wonderful story! ❤❤❤💐💐💐
First, Jon, I'm so glad you were able to get medical help. Second, Erin, you are such a strong woman. You not only used physical strength, but you stayed calm. I am sending lots of quick healing wishes. We have never met but know that we care. You both are two of my absolute favorites. 💛💛
I mean I saw the ski’s and said ‘oh it’s his knee.’ I have two reconstructed ACL’s and knew it exactly when he went down. It’s the sound of ‘oh the next three years of my life are going to revolve around this.’. My brother, we will keep watching your stuff and supporting you during the recovery. Lucky for the channel Erin is… well Erin, and you can send her off for videos while you stay off the knee. I repeat, stay off the knee. I will send you a personal message about when I thought I was recovered, and the angles my knees went and the sounds…
Shows the true value of a reliable partner when you're out in the middle of nowhere. Also shows how quickly something can go wrong when you're out solo - and the value of that SOS button. Speedy recovery!
After being relieved it wasn't an axe accident, it was a pretty bad knee accident. Erin was amazing getting you out of there, you are always safety conscious with your videos, which is important. I hope you recover quickly.
Had a similar experience and was lucky to not be alone on that particular adventure. I typically head out on my own and being injured in the bush is humbling to say the least. Still trying to regain my confidence. Wishing you a speedy recovery. To say that Erin’s efforts were life saving is an absolute understatement. You are both impressive individuals but what she did ….mind blowing! She moved a mountain for you John but I believe you would do it for her in a heart beat! Be well, both of you! Sending much admiration from North Bay!
Erin, you are incredibly strong, mentally and physically! A true hero! As soon as the music shifted as you two headed out on your day trip my anxiety went up, waiting and not knowing exactly what the medical emergency would be. How poignant, Jon, that I watch this after finally watching your proposal video. You definitely have the best partner for life! Wishing you a speedy recovery. ❤️
Erin is a real trooper. Jon, Erin is the best partner you can have. Strong, resilient, resourceful, and very easy on the eyes. Great trip and definitely a worthwhile memory. Hope the knee will mend. Two words, knee braces Jon.
I’ve had partial knee dislocations over the last 10 years. The “skishoes” have helped me enjoy accessing many nearby lakes for ice fishing where snowshoes have aggravated my “trick knee” on occasion. So impressed with your better half, her tenacity saved the day. You certainly married up Jon, well done.
First off. Love you both and I'm so glad you're okay. You have found a rare and beautiful person in Erin and strong! Holy smokes. I have a left knee that did the exact same thing as yours, only 30 years ago. Torn meniscus and anterior cruciate. I was good to go in five or six weeks. Arthroscopy! Happened again a few years back tore meniscus in the same knee Annoying and painful but recoverable! I would never dream of downhill skiing or water skiing. But I'll bet with a neoprene sleeve or wrap of some sort you're going to be fine for winter camping! I think/hope you'll be out there for spring paddling. Please keep your spirits up John! Many of us out here rooting for you and need your comforting soothing vids to come back as soon as possible. They are such a solace in these difficult times. Thank you both for being good and kind people.
Thank you for showing this, I appreciated the vulnerablility we all share in relationships especially with mother nature...I appreciated the calmness and togetherness in Erin taking the lead...Best of Recoveries to Jon..
Jon,,,soo soooooo thankful Erin was with u and u weren't solo...A very,VERY sobering thought for solo hikers/campers...Thanks for telling it like it is and not sugar coating ...Healing prayers being sent your way Jon ...AND Erin,,,,YOU rock...👍👍👍👍👍
Erin you are a legend! Well done. Jon I hope you’re on the mend. It was a bummer hurting yourself while out doing the things you love. It’s 39 degrees C in Sydney, Australia today and I’m enjoying seeing the cold snow. Take care.
Erin is a true partner 🙏🏻… John speedy recovery , you are so bless to have Erin on your team … she showed her love for you with the strength of Mamma bear …. ❤
OMG Erin your a total BEAST ( Aussie slag for amazing) what a machine! It looks like a snow dog might be in your future guys. It's not quite the same but we all want to be able to see you two (+) adventuring for many years to come. Rest up and don't rush it!!! Wishing for a full recovery!
Hi Jon. I have felt the pain you had and I can say that you couldn't tough it out. I have a knee injury where I had a tear in my meniscus, a ACL strain and arthritis in my knee. It will be coming up to a year in a couple weeks and it's still not the same. I hope you recover much faster because you are younger and more athletic. Erin definitely made a herculean effort to get you out. It was the best decision to stop at the camp for the night. A lot of people who criticize are likely ones who have never experienced temperatures like those. I have been binge watching your videos and they have been making me homesick!! I grew up in northern Ontario and moved to the south. I wish you a speedy recovery and hope you will be back out there soon!! Maybe consider doing a trip up the Goulais River off Superior. It is a beautiful paddle, especially in the fall. Take care.
Erin is a handy lass to have around that's for sure. Wood chopping skills also top notch! Damm looked like a nasty injury there John. Does make you think about all those other times solo, you were lucky to have a guardian angel with you!
Brutal humbling dose from Mother Nature... very sobering reminder of how quickly things can turn. Erin is an absolute hero, she beasted it with pure heart, what a partner to have. Hope you recover soon bud. I'm plant based and try to eat a ton of green veggies like broccoli, kale and spinach - massive amounts of anti inflammatories - try to boost those bud.
I've been a fan of this channel intensely for a year now, and I know how practical and pragmatic you both are concerning safety. Its incredibly inspiring to see what Erin did, both on the day of the medical incident and then of course on helping you get out the next day, awesome, awesome, awesome!
Jon, speedy recovery my friend. Let's hope this is just a bump in the road and you're ok long term. Erin, just WOW! Incredible life partner indeed. Good luck to you both. Keep us posted.
Gosh John!! What a luck that you wasn't on a lonely trip!! Erin is your guardian angel and she definitely must have been a grizzly bear in her former life!! So much power, absolutely amazing!! My back already hurts while just watching her pulling you through the snow on the first route to the tent but pulling you over the 5 km back to the car?!!! 😳😳😳Erin, you are incredible!! Best wishes to you sweeties and get well soon, John 😘😘🤗🍀🍀🍀
Erin, you rock! Amazing the sheer resilience and determination to get John back to camp and car! Bet you ached after that! Well done you, and hope John feels better soon! 👍
My fiance and I watch your videos all the time. There's not much I can say that hasn't been said before. You are both incredible!!! I hope you can find other ways to look after your mental health while camping is not an option. Well wishes for a speedy recovery. Take care of each other 🥰
Watching this and knowing the outcome had me so on edge waiting for it to happen, so relieved to hear you made it home safe. I think you two handled the situation like champs and personally don't think you could have done it any better. I can only imagine that it would take an extreme amount of mental strength to have the laser focus that Erin did and think rationally in an emergency situation. Spending the night at camp to assess the situation and starting fresh the next day seemed like the right thing to do. Injuries suck but recovery time is important, wishing Jon a swift recovery.
So painful to watch. I had to fast forward to the rescue at the end, kind of like reading the last page of a book. Prayers for a quick recovery. You both showed bravery and strength. It’s hard needing the help of others for things you are used to doing yourself. Wow Erin was strong in the mental and physical challenges she faced. Great job to both of you and the partnership you have.
Man knee injuries suck. I was hiking 4 months ago without my trekking poles and had a bad knee twist to my right knee. Major meniscus tear. Just had surgery yesterday and at home watching your video. Getting my rehab on today to get back on trail. Wishing you a speedy recovery and man Erin is a keeper for sure!!! Super Canadian Woman.
You made some good decisions, had some luck and Erin was a beast getting you both out. Well done you guys, good luck with the knee and hope you can get back to your livelihood very soon. Cheers!
Man I’m so sorry. When I first started watching you last year I commented that you need a way to get help. Glad you have something. Take care Jon and get well soon. FYI people that make negative comments have no idea what they are talking about. You are very careful about what you do.
Erin what a hero 🦸♀️ it’s amazing what we can do when we have to this was actually a great video to put out , it brings home just how quick things can go pear shaped … so glad you were set up and had some were warm and cosy to spend the night and in my opinion you did the right thing Sending lots of healing vibes and look forward to seeing you back out in the woods in your canoe
Anybody who spends extensive time in the backcountry will eventually have a debilitating injury. I won’t bore anyone with my stories but each and every event was educational and empowering. With the right partners and skill most situations will have a good outcome. I feel your pain!
Just watched and wow!!! Heartbreaking to know you’re down and out BUT, the camping gods were with you in making sure Erin was there alongside you! Cheers guys! We just learned of the Buy Me a Coffee and Neil and I are both members now… you two are our inspiration for learning the outdoors, so we will always support you both in any way we can 💙💚🤎 cheers to a rapid recovery 🍻
Hi there! It’s me who gave you suggestion to traction knee with diagnosis of housemaids knee. So sorry to see it actually happen! John it’s time for an arthroscopic meniscal repair! If it’s a tracking issue with knee cap you need to strengthen your medial quad! Leg extensions with toe pointed medially. Only a couple weeks down time! Also Erin in beastmode is inspiring!! Hope you get it sorted!!
@@LostLakes no thank you! I am a fellow outdoors enthusiast and I am currently recovering from cancer treatment and having my rib surgically removed. Watching your videos has been a huge part of my recovery and living vicariously through you is amazing for my mental health!! 💚
What a great video on how to do all the right things to survive under harsh conditions. From taking survival items along on every excursion during your trip to hunkering down at base camp to replenish energy for the next stage of recovery. Your thought process was spot on which showed in your successful completion of the rescue. Be patient with your knee, it will heal and you will be back in the wilderness...ps. ERIN IS AWESOME !!!!!
-Follow-up discussion/update video: th-cam.com/video/gTe9TdJfGO0/w-d-xo.html -Here's when it was -28C: 22:28 -Riddle answer: Lake Superior..."greatest of the great" (lakes) -Injury: 13:22 (I'll post an update once I finally get an MRI and get diagnosed. Most likely a meniscus tear but there are other possibilities -The zoleo sat comm does have 2-way comms and we of course messaged some friends with snowmobiles but they couldn't come in time
An honest evaluation of your evacuation and recovery is commendable. This video provides an understanding of your thought process and how you both worked thru the problem. The calmness and rational thought was the basis for your success. Luck was bolstered by your preparedness.....and having Erin with you...😉
Hey Jon. I had a similar issue with my knee once. The cartilage in your knee is two interlocking "C" shapes that cushion the knobs of the upper and lower leg bones (not a doctor 😜). The cartilage can tear, and then the "C" opens up and can prevent full extension of your leg. If it doesn't go back in immediately, swelling sets in and it takes a few days before it will be able to re-align. A very tough injury to experience out in the woods!!
Thank you for the clarity and remember the old adage, you cannot please all of the people All of the time. And who would want to, most aren’t interested…. Well Done Erin and Jon. We appreciate you guys bringing us along. Be well soon
I got that right I literally pumped my fist into the air and yelled. Yes, just as I read this answer I don’t usually get riddles but that was a really good one. Great video. I hope you’re all well. Thanks for sharing your journey.
In the back of my mind I've always dreaded something like this. Thankfully you both it pulled off remarkably well! Way to go Erin! Please keep me up to date with your healing process. Take care of each other.
Geez Jon. That was rough. I subscribed to your channel not just because of your experience, adventures, and awesome content but because you seem like a cool guy, the sort of guy anyone would enjoy hanging out with. So it was pretty brutal to see you go through this and worry for you future adventures. THANK GOD you had Erin on this trip! What a life saver.I mean, even with your satellite rescue, you might have been stuck far from the tent waiting with no heat, or trying to crawl back to camp at least. Any rate, she saved the day! Going to go watch the update, hoping it's good!! God speed to your recovery Jon
You are extremely lucky to have that young lady by your side! She did an amazing job of pulling you out of the bush and back to shelter… don’t rush the recovery and follow your PTs advise to the letter. A torn meniscus can haunt you for years if not treated properly. You need a strong knee to carry your canoe on the numerous portages. Best wishes from St Augustine
Hope it's not a long-term recovery. I spent the first 50 years of my life being fairly indestructible and putting myself in remote situations regularly, so when you say eye-opening, I get it. Had a retinal detachment without warning this last year and it created the exact same feeling in me. Praying you have a smooth recovery! So great to have your capable lady there!!!
Oh no😢Hope you get better soon Jon! Really hard to watch! It’s bring me back to my injury, in July 2021, I had a knee injury while transporting a canoe during a canoe-camping trip. I slipped down a hill with the canoe on my shoulders… We were really far in the wood, can’t walk, my incredible boyfriend and friends got me out of there, they found a fisherman who took me and my boyfriend to the only place accessible by car on this lake and then we found some cellular siganl don’t know who but thanks god, we called the park reception to send us someone who would take us back to our car. Traumatic experience!! I had a small tibia fracture and ACL torn, surgery November 2021 for the reconstruction of ACL. Summer 2022 I went back on a canoe-camping expedition💪🏼 you got this Jon!
this was insane, and you both are amazing. having read the title, i of course knew someone was going to get hurt, but the shot just before you began to shout in pain, where all we see is Erin moving forward, had me filled with such intense dread. the fact that Erin supported you so lovingly had me emotional. im thankful nothing deadly occurred, and i hope you’re recovering well. ❤
Wow Erin! You are a rockstar ✨ I am happy that you shared your experience. A lot of times viewers do not get to see the actual footage of the mishap or what difficulties you have after a injury. As always, loved the footage John-hope you have a speedy recovery ❤️🩹

Thanks Cheryl!
Lucky he only weighs a buck 20
Greatly appreciate that Thomas 💚
Erin is a warrior!.. uhmm remember the Ice Queen? I have never seen a woman take so much punishment and never complain.. she just kicks ass!
Hahah ice queen was equally impressive!
Oh wow this was actually hard to watch I could almost feel it all. I really wish you a strong recovery Jon, seeing Erin pull you was pretty emotional. You two are an amazing team.
Thanks a lot Evan! 💚
Wishing you a speedy recovery jon. That's a great life partner you have
Thanks for the reality check. Cheers.
Can't recommend it highly enough...even if you just get the base plan for emergencies and the odd message or weather check. Thank you :)
Thank you so much Paul!
A real, true Thunder Bay Lady. Wonderful video. Thanks for sharing. All the Best Jon.
Thank God, Erin was with you Jon, she was a real hero. I love watching your videos and I hope you have a quick recovery.
And I forgot to mention thank God Erin was with you!!! You two make a beautiful couple!!! 😊😊😊
Thanks so much Michael! 💚💚
Hoping for a rapid recovery for you Jon! Big thumbs up for your rescuer Erin, she deserves a gold medal, well done!
Thanks so much Sally! 💚💚
The couple that self extracts together stays together. You two are simply amazing.
Eeek....thanks Kevin!
@@LostLakes I’m not kidding. Team Erin 🫡
Shows the true value of a reliable partner when you're out in the middle of nowhere. Also shows how quickly something can go wrong when you're out solo - and the value of that SOS button. Speedy recovery!
Good woman, good partner, lucky guy!
After being relieved it wasn't an axe accident, it was a pretty bad knee accident. Erin was amazing getting you out of there, you are always safety conscious with your videos, which is important. I hope you recover quickly.
Now that's true love!☹ Yes...she's a real hero! Best wishes on a full recovery and you're back camping very soon.
Thanks Linda! 💚
OMG I've heard you talk about it in other videos. Dam that was horrible. I'm happy you had Erin with you
Had a similar experience and was lucky to not be alone on that particular adventure.
Very much appreciated!
Erin you are a very special lady and deserve all accolades that can be given to you! I think you are just a prncess!
Thank you so much Marnie! 💚
Erin is a real trooper. Jon, Erin is the best partner you can have. Strong, resilient, resourceful, and very easy on the eyes. Great trip and definitely a worthwhile memory. Hope the knee will mend. Two words, knee braces Jon.
She really is :) Thanks so much Mark!
Thank you :) Yeah funny enough I got the skis to help vs snowshoes...not that they were necessarily to blame
Mad props to Erin for taking care of Jon and being tough as nails the power of the woman's determination
Happened again a few years back tore
meniscus in the same knee
Annoying and painful but recoverable!
And please make a video update of your healing process.
Thanks so much Beverly! Really hoping that arthro fix will be the ticket for me
As soon as I saw skis I thought OH NO Jon!! Thank heavens that Erin your wife is such a strong capable lady. Wishing you a speedy recovery!
Thanks a lot Joann!
Hope you have a quick recovery, Jon. Looks like a torn meniscus. Cheers to Erin for handling everything and pulling you out.
Clearly the lesson here is we all need an Erin! Get well soon and thank you for sharing all that you did. ✌🏻
Take care.
Really appreciate this Al!
Wishing you a speedy recovery. And much respect for Erin! Absolute hero!
Erin is a handy lass to have around that's for sure. Wood chopping skills also top notch!
Damm looked like a nasty injury there John. Does make you think about all those other times solo, you were lucky to have a guardian angel with you!
" Erin is a handy lass to have around?? wtf??? lololol.......is that a compliment being an equal human or a comparison to a plow horse??🤣🤣🤣
@@LeslieBernard222 Yeah because thats what us men like, women who can keep up😉
Probably the same knee you had trouble with a while back. So sorry you have gotten hurt get well soon. Erin is a hero 👏👏👏
Yeah :( Ironically I'd been seeing doctors and trying to take the best care of it in my life...bought the skis to be more ergonomic. Thanks Dave!
You said it man. Sage advice and coincidentally I've been eating lots of spinach are we're about to make a meal with tons of broc :)
@@LostLakes Awesome man makes me v happy to hear that! Body is unbelievably resilient, and can heal from so much, if the inputs are good 🙂
@@EzeAdventurer absolutely. Thanks buddy
I've been a fan of this channel intensely for a year now, and I know how practical and pragmatic you both are concerning safety. Its incredibly inspiring to see what Erin did, both on the day of the medical incident and then of course on helping you get out the next day, awesome, awesome, awesome!
Really appreciate that!!
Erin is an absolute machine ! Get well soon Jontario ! You have an excellent back catalog in the mean time
Jon, speedy recovery my friend.
Hahah absolutely. Thanks a lot Mondhase!
Take care of each other 🥰
Thank you so much Lina!
Holy cow, great job to Erin for lugging you out! What an amazing lady!! Crazy how something as simple as kneeling can take someone out.
Wow sorry to hear it took so long to get surgery. Thanks and wishing you the same!
Thanks a lot Paul! :)
Erin what a hero 🦸♀️ it’s amazing what we can do when we have to
this was actually a great video to put out , it brings home just how quick things can go pear shaped … so glad you were set up and had some were warm and cosy to spend the night and in my opinion you did the right thing
Sending lots of healing vibes and look forward to seeing you back out in the woods in your canoe
Anybody who spends extensive time in the backcountry will eventually have a debilitating injury. I won’t bore anyone with my stories but each and every event was educational and empowering. With the right partners and skill most situations will have a good outcome. I feel your pain!
Appreciate this Jim!
You two are way too sweet and generous! Thank you so much Billie...seriously many thanks to you and Neil 💚💚💚
@@LostLakes Ps Erin’s riddle: Lake Superior?!
Thank you for this!
@@LostLakes no thank you! I am a fellow outdoors enthusiast and I am currently recovering from cancer treatment and having my rib surgically removed. Watching your videos has been a huge part of my recovery and living vicariously through you is amazing for my mental health!! 💚
@@in-steader2649 I can only imagine what a battle that's been, and the ribs are so tender. Wishing you good health 💚💚
Really appreciate that Dan!
Don't ever let Erin go shes got your back big time definitely a keeper speedy recovery and all the best
-Follow-up discussion/update video: th-cam.com/video/gTe9TdJfGO0/w-d-xo.html
-Here's when it was -28C: 22:28
-Riddle answer: Lake Superior..."greatest of the great" (lakes)
-Injury: 13:22 (I'll post an update once I finally get an MRI and get diagnosed. Most likely a meniscus tear but there are other possibilities
-The zoleo sat comm does have 2-way comms and we of course messaged some friends with snowmobiles but they couldn't come in time
An honest evaluation of your evacuation and recovery is commendable.
Thanks for doing the extra explanation. We care about you guys and it was good to know the rest of the story. Wishing you both all the best!
Thank you for the clarity and remember the old adage, you cannot please all of the people
All of the time. And who would want to, most aren’t interested…. Well
Done Erin and Jon. We appreciate you guys bringing us along. Be well soon
I got that right I literally pumped my fist into the air and yelled. Yes, just as I read this answer I don’t usually get riddles but that was a really good one. Great video. I hope you’re all well. Thanks for sharing your journey.
I'm so glad you got out safe, Erin is the best partner you could have ever found. Glad you both have each other!
Thanks so much again Josh!!
Get better soon Jon! Erin you are an amazing human with incredible strength! 🏋🏻♀️
Oh my goodness...an eye injury is truly my worst nightmare. I'd take this every time. Thanks a lot Jay!
Speedy recovery John. Erin is amazing,a real life super hero.Blessings on both of you.
Glad you had a lovely and tough lady to get you through! Get well soon!
So proud of you Erin!
Oh no😢Hope you get better soon Jon!
Really hard to watch! It’s bring me back to my injury, in July 2021, I had a knee injury while transporting a canoe during a canoe-camping trip. I slipped down a hill with the canoe on my shoulders…
We were really far in the wood, can’t walk, my incredible boyfriend and friends got me out of there, they found a fisherman who took me and my boyfriend to the only place accessible by car on this lake and then we found some cellular siganl don’t know who but thanks god, we called the park reception to send us someone who would take us back to our car. Traumatic experience!! I had a small tibia fracture and ACL torn, surgery November 2021 for the reconstruction of ACL. Summer 2022 I went back on a canoe-camping expedition💪🏼 you got this Jon!
What an ordeal! Thanks so much Marie-Eve!
this was insane, and you both are amazing. having read the title, i of course knew someone was going to get hurt, but the shot just before you began to shout in pain, where all we see is Erin moving forward, had me filled with such intense dread. the fact that Erin supported you so lovingly had me emotional. im thankful nothing deadly occurred, and i hope you’re recovering well. ❤
She's amazing 💚 Thank you!
This woman is incredible. You guys are an inspiration to how people should be
Wow Erin! You are a rockstar ✨
I am happy that you shared your experience. A lot of times viewers do not get to see the actual footage of the mishap or what difficulties you have after a injury.
As always, loved the footage John-hope you have a speedy recovery ❤️🩹
Thanks a lot J!
