Robin Seymour's "Swinging Time" was filmed at the C.K.L.W. Channel #9 studio in Windsor Canada - My oldest sister Cathy and Cousin Mary were dancing in the front row every day in '69! 🤓
For those who said Florence looked sad or miserable, she also smiled, laughed danced in her seat and sang to their songs while seated. You can also see her talking and laughing with Mary throughout the show. She did not just sit there with a silly grin on her face because that was not her nature. She exuded class and elegance which some people mistook for disinterest or boredom. I found it interesting that her teachers only mentioned that Florence was a very good singer. None of them said that about Mary or Diana.
Omg....it's the other way around. Florence's fans trash Diana at every chance. Even say slanderous things, call her a slut and all kinds of stuff. Diana was the Supremes. The other two had fans but that was it. They had Andantes singing with them but Diana was on every song. STAR!.@ceeceetracey9839
Growing up in Detroit, I confess that I saw every episode of Swinging Time, I can't remember this one, because I was 10 years old, and not I'm 66, my memory isn't that good, anymore.
And to think, someone on here commentedcthat Diana fans are always bashing Florence....yet here you are bashing Diana and putting her down. Diana was the Supremes.@@metrogoldwyn
Hi, I'm looking for a Swingin Time show from 1969 that included the female Detroit group The Lollipops who sang their recent release, now working at Motown having been with Harry Balks labels previously. Songs written by Barney ''Duke'' Browner. (I think the Supremes were on the same show)?
I'd look that way too if I saw that horrible dancing to my music!! 🤣🤣🤣. But forreal, this is around the time Motown really started picking with her. 😭😭😭.
Florence, by 1966 when this was taped, was getting fed up with the hectic schedule, politics, etc. Gordy led her to believe she was a millionaire ( which was far from the truth) and she got a bit lazy and undisciplined.

She no longer has an anorexic look. Saw Ross in concert about 5 years ago and she has really packed on the weight. But she's almost 79 now, so her glory years are long gone.
Florence looked beautiful on this show, her hair makeup just beautiful.
Not only did Florence have a great speaking voice she was well spoken, funny and engaging (and guys loved her)
Yes I Agree with Ya 👏
CeeCee 💯
But Diana is the voice!
Without Diana the supremes were just a group, the no hits Supremes
@@melltell well they were the no hit supremes with her too 😆 Together they made that magic. 🪄

I was 12 and I do recall this episode, well sort of.
The white dude in front with the dark blazer got swag and soul he could really dance 😎 ❤
Lots of enthusiastic go-go dancing happening, as it should be.
I was just a new born but I remember jamming to this.

Kelly Rowland looks like Mary Wilson could be her mama!
I always have said Kelly Rowland could play Mary Wilson.
The camera catches Florence a few times looking miserable and unhappy.

@@dusroots I guess so, you're probably right, but why was Florence so miserable? She was on top of the world at that time!

@@malcolmmarshall5946 she was raped. Unless someone gets healing after that, they are going to be miserable.
It's saddening to see Florence so unhappy.
Last time Flo sat next to the interviewer.

No you’re not. She absolutely did.
She was unfortunately. She discussed the eating disorder she developed during her time with The Supremes in her autobiography “Secrets of a Sparrow” …
