This was a wonderful tribute to Florence from Mary! Florence's version of Sam Cooke's "Ain't that good News". Was wonderful, awesome, everything was good about it 👍💯! Plus other songs that she sung lead on. I think 🤔💭💬 that Berry Gordy should have let Florence and Mary sing many more leads on some of the Supremes songs. There could have been some songs that could have been written. Just got them to sing the lead on! I know that he felt that Diana had that star quality! And crossed over good to just as many white people. Lots of whites loved the Supremes as blacks. But Florence and Mary had very good sounding singing voices as well! And it's no secret that after the Supremes started making hit after hit! That he eventually became attracted to her. And he had gotten divorced shortly before they started a romantic relationship. I had thought 🤔💬💭 some years back 🔙! That he was married. But I've done a lot of reading about the various Motown singers! And other people who worked at Motown behind the scenes. But he, the Supremes and maybe 🤔 other people at Motown missed out. By not having Mary and Florence do lead on songs that would have shown how talented they were. And not to mention that the public. And all of the music 🎵🎶 fans around the world 🌏🌍🌏! May have missed a lot too! As far as Berry and Diana's affair that I read was a on again and off again 📴! Well that wasn't no reason to play favorites with Diana! And the affair was their business anyways! It shouldn't have had anything to do with business and pleasure. That should have been separate. But again I can't really say that much. Cause it all was their business.

The interesting thing about the Supremes is each voice made their sound unique. Florence voice is very distinct and noticed. Once she was gone the sound definitely changed.
I was in sixth grade and remember kinda losing interest in the Supremes after Florence left. They were now missing something. Not throwing shade on Cindy, she was good, but Florence gave the group something really special

That's interesting, the ten year old kid from 1965 did not think of DIANA ROSS until you mentioned her. My attention was on THE SUPREMES. I'm sitting her lost in my childhood, recalling these wonderful times from back then. Mary, Diana, and Florence; I loved this group of three back then, and the Motown music. One thing is for certain, if Mary Wilson were never a member of the Supremes, I don't know how long this 10 year old boy's interest in the Supremes ever would have been, or even if I ever would have become a big fan of the Supremes. So, everything isn't always about Diana Ross to others.
