In just 3 years he went from the happy stoner/high schooler sound of K.I.D.S. to being dark and introspective on Watching Movies With the Sound Off. Such an intense contrast between the sounds and he only kept changing and evolving. Incredible artist
This album really did something incredible. It was so upbeat and youthful, but it didn’t fall into the corny trap. 10/10 with extra nostalgia points. This and best day ever are just phenomenal projects.

Been a Mac fan since High Life dropped… so awesome to see his progression as an artist. I was in jail when he passed and it was awful hearing that during a visit, but it was great to see the outpouring of love from his fans. He touched so many people, man… A big part of me feels like there’s a significant difference between Mac fans who’ve been here from the start, and fans who came in for the change in Swimming, but either way I’m just glad his music has created a community that fosters love and caring for others. “Good evening” was my first introduction to Mac Miller. One of my closest friends, her brother was bumping that shit in his mustang when he drove us home from school. I vividly remember the sub & bass slapping my back the whole ride home, lol. It was my Sophomore year in high school when this mixtape dropped and I was an instant fan. R.I.P Mac Miller.
Mac and I were both the same age and I always felt connected to him after hearing this project. I used to drive through the city at night with the windows down after recently graduating from high school and it was such a great vibe! This brings so many memories. So happy this was part of the soundtrack of my life during that time period.
My favorite artist.. I absolutely loved watching his growth over time. From rapping about life as a care free, happy high schooler, to branching out to singing & writing about his struggles, pain, & love. RIP Mac - thumbs up!

It probably is not perfect, but I think it is a stable of so many peoples adolescence, and definitely a classic.

This was his for his Blue Slide Park tour, he did play a few of his songs from K.I.D.S. mainly the hits: The Spins, Nikes on My Feet, Good Evening and (my favorite) Senior Skip Day… miss him ❤❤❤
Man I still remember when a few buddies of mine played “Knock Knock” for me for the first time on the way to a baseball game in middle school.. and I instantly knew there was something special about Mac. Maturing with him and his sound through my life will forever be cherished by me and my high school buddies.
You and your dad reacting to this album means so much to me. When I saw this on my recommended, I choked up on my tears by how excited I was to finally see this. Graduating high school last year in 2022, this was the soundtrack to my senior year almost 24/7. When you were talking about riding across town to get burritos, it took me back to when we used to stop by the gas station (the only store of any kind in town) to get energy drinks after school and go chill at someone’s house. Moving to a new school, it changed my perception on meeting new people and to open up more. I met my best friends in high school through both of us liking Mac Miller. Unfortunately, I’ve lost touch with those people, but this album will always be a time capsule to look back at those fun times. Love y’all, hope to collab with y’all one day❤️

Discovered Mac Miller around same time as Connor 7th grade. Was the first artist I remember listening to that I felt like I discovered on my own without any influence of family or friends. At the time I didn't frequent blogs or mixtape sites just kinda ripped tracks of YT or sketchy sites onto my ipod touch. 7th grade was a time a look back fondly cuz of Mac and just feeling like I was just becoming a fan of music in general. Not just putting on for background music but reading lyrics, engaging in conversations about rap and going thru a fresh pairs of earbuds every other week. K.I.D.S. def holds a special place in my heart cuz that sound molded my music taste for years to come

Iconic Mixtape. I remember seeing him in concert for this tape and it was sold out. The DJ kept saying "Kendrick Lamar in 3 days". Never heard of him and listened to Kendrick heavy for 3 days and went to the concert with 40 people (met my first real gf here too). Without Mac I woulda never known who Kendrick was for awhile. I was like 16 and this tape just hit different and you could just tell he was gonna be something special. Song also made me get more into shoes and I was really involved in our shoe community. So many of my friends came from shoes and in turn from this album. Man what an Era. Smokers club tours, Big Krit, Wiz Khalifa, Kendrick, Jay Rock, Drake. Hope you do Overly Dedicated one day

One of my favorite albums all time - it got me hooked on Mac when I was a sophomore in high school.
Since his death I’ve honestly been too sad to listen to his music because I just cry but revisiting this album with you guys is beautiful ❤ I have a USB drive that I’ve had for over a decade that has every single song I could possibly find from him and it’s one of my most prized possessions. It has some songs on it that I can’t find anywhere, like old freestyles that I love so much. Thank you guys, I loved listening to this again even if it still makes me incredibly sad that he’s gone 💔

Iconic Mixtape. I remember seeing him in concert for this tape and it was sold out. The DJ kept saying "Kendrick Lamar in 3 days". Never heard of him and listened to Kendrick heavy for 3 days and went to the concert with 40 people (met my first real gf here too). Without Mac I woulda never known who Kendrick was for awhile. I was like 16 and this tape just hit different and you could just tell he was gonna be something special. Song also made me get more into shoes and I was really involved in our shoe community. So many of my friends came from shoes and in turn from this album.

never properly dove into mac's catalogue until 2017, but mannn i vividly remember my older cousins blasting classics like the spins and nikes on my feet back when KIDS dropped. i was like 5 at the time😭good times and memories. great project
