i often think of the music we would have gotten from Mac if he just lived through the pandemic. The COUNTLESS hours that all of us know he would’ve spent in his studio making the most legendary pieces of music for us. He had so much more in him. R.I.P MAC❤️♾️
Agreed... However... Mac spent hours and hours and hours inside of his studio pre pandemic... Maybe he would've seen that time as the rest of the world finally feeling the way he did - **Don't you know that sunshine, don't feel right, when you're inside, all day?
@@katiemcgowan465 I love the way you put this. I really think Mac would’ve made something relating to that topic….all of us finally knowing how he felt staying inside all day and never leaving the room. I think those thoughts is what keeps Mac alive in my head…he’ll live forever.
Swimming and Circles are two projects I’ll always be thankful for as they helped lift me through a long dark time in my life. Mac had heart and was a true artist. Rip 92’ infinity 🙏
Mac's family lived in a different home in Point Breeze for a small portion of his very early childhood before they moved to his main childhood home. My parents were his neighbors at the new house and often heard him playing the drums and creating his new music inside. My parents ended up moving to his family's old house, which is where I grew up. His name was engraved on my bedroom door. I was pretty young when I learned who he was so I never had really listened to his music until around now. I do remember playing at Blue Slide Park a lot, going down the big blue slide on pieces of recycled cardboard it was a classic activity for kids in the neighborhood. RIP.
KIDS is still one of my favorite projects because it takes me back to being a carefree highschool kid every time, perfectly captures a moment in time that everyone went through
It also had some really underrated bangers on it. Good Evening, Ride Around, Paper Route, Outside. Shit is like a time capsule of nostalgia. I also watched the movie Kids for the first time around that time and it hit me so hard for some reason.
I crashed my motor swapped 90hatchback while bumpin kids when it was new, that was me n my boys anthem , that year had an amazing lineup… KIDS , and then wiz with and OJ and wale more about nothin .. I swear the nostalgia those hve for me…it gives me chills
Sadly I got introduced to his works in 2022 after he passed away. But he is one of the few artists who are very close to my heart. Listening to him, watching him feels like he is a genuine and sincere friend.
HAHAAH bro he knew. He knew he was loved. Bro Kendrick Lamar told a story of how he bought a range and he told Mac he had that he was making that money. And Mac bought 3 and said he isn’t making that Mac miller money tho. And it’s true. Mac was a juggernaut. People might have not put him up with Kendrick but he def was up and probably past Kendrick. Dude was more blues more jazz more hip hop than Kendrick. It’s crazy to say a white boy held that. But he was just a true artist
I never thought I would ever miss someone I never met in person. But that person’s music has carried me through so many phases of my life. RIP MAC. Fly high.
I watched Mac on Tiny Desk and then horrified he taken so abruptly and heartlessly by the Killer Drug Fentanyl. Who would poison an unsuspecting human?
Met Mac for the first time in 2013 and saw him several times through the years. He always asked, “you good?”. He was such a genuine and funny dude. I cherish the memories I have with him. He inspires me daily to live my life out of love and to just keep swimming. Rip broski. Most Dope, that’s forever.
IMO he was the most unique artist of the 2000s era. He changed music, gave others a platform to prove themself and created a path for rappers to try new genre. We will never see another one like him. Absolute GOAT. 92 - infinity
Been waiting for this one!! Mac is underrated and should have won the Grammy for best rap album in 2020 for swimming. Mac’s music will continue to inspire forever…
Mac was a beautiful artist with a tormented soul. The world is a darker and sadder place without him in it. I will listen to his music until the day I die
Here I am 5 years 4 months later, tears streaming down my face. I wish I could say thank you for all you have given me, I just wish I could have helped you the same way you helped me.. I miss you man, I just want to say thank you for the help with my addictions and taking me to a better place, I know you're up there. Forever my favorite rapper till the day I die R.I.P. Malcom McCormick you maybe gone but you will never be forgotten. Thank you for everything MOST DOPE!🤘
Man I can’t even lie, I teared up a few times watching this. What a beautiful video. I just hope he knew how much he helped people through his music. He truly changed my entire outlook on life and I’ll forever be grateful for that. Rest easy Mac, 92 til infinity ❤️
its been years and ive heard it a thousand times, but i still cant hear 2009 without tearing up. we miss ya mac. great coverage of one of the best artists of the generation.
I only know about Mac Miller because I made a playlist a month ago featuring everyone's favourite songs from my classmates, one of which was Ladders. After watching this video, I feel like I've known him all my life, and it brought a tear to my eye. What a tragic loss. Thank you for making this.
My heart 🥹 I followed him from album to album but didn’t know much about him. After he passed I grieved so much I couldn’t bring myself to watch videos like this because I wanted to remember him by feeling him in his music. My bf had said once that “Circles sounds unfinished. It doesn’t have the magic in it like Swimming. Almost like they forgot to add salt.” And I can’t believe my ears that it was actually unfinished! I’m glad this came up on my feed. Thank you for honoring Mac in such a beautiful way. 🙏🏼💕
Still the only artist's death that actually made me cry. Watching Movies With The Sound Off and Faces were the soundtrack to my late teens & early adulthood. R.I.P. Mac, forever an icon ❤
Man, I cry damn near every Friday, and listen to Mac's music, because he died on a Friday and that's how I remember him; RIP Easy Mac With The Cheesy Raps...🙏🏽
Labeling Blue Slide Park as "Standard Frat Rap" is insane. That album was the first time fans had a chance at seeing just a glimpse of the melodic genius behind the Donald Trump rapper. It was Mac's teenage album, stepping away from the Kids music videos, and making us really feel there was longevity behind the creativity. Melodies like the hook on Under The Weather truly were the first signs of what were to come with albums like Circles.
What a nice surprise to found this video, Mac Miller is my favorite artist, I miss him. His music brings me to a state of connection and peace. We love you Mac
Appreciate you making this. His music is/was/will always be my therapy. He is the epitome of the saying, "If some is good, more is better." Bc he judt kept wanting to make more music that he knew we just had to hear. He's going to drop new songs every 10months till we are both gone. His catalog alone at that age should be considered that of legendary. 🙏.. PS, MACADELLIC IS THE THE MOST LYRICALLY UNDERRATED ALBUM OF ITS TIME
Been listening to make since I was 12-13 years old when kids first dropped. Never got to see him live and it haunts me to this day. This is the only celebrity death I’ll never get over. 92-infinity. Miss you everyday Mac.
He was so committed to growing as a being and exploring truth. What made him special was his dedication and hunger for the spiritual. He was intensely religious in a certain way. This is what made the music so powerful… his interest in the profound. The big question..
I grew up basically with Mac, listening to him for the first time when I was in 7th grade. Throughout his years of growth in music I was also growing up, changing, and trying to figure out my own life. I will always have mad respect for where he started and came from KIDS, Blue Slide Park, Macadelic to my favorite GO:OD AM & Swimming😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨 Mac miller is the definition of a kid who went big & had real struggles like the rest of us. I am now 27 which is so hard to get in my head as he was 27 when he passed. We love you Mac 🤍
I think the thing that makes mac such a great artist is he didnt try to be anything he wasnt and everything was just him being him. the good, bad. the highs and the lows
I was introduced to Mac a few months before my first hospitalization. I honestly didn’t appreciate his music at the time. But once I was hospitalized I had nothing to do. I was stuck in my head except for those groups when we did music. I couldn’t remember much besides Mac’s Swimming and Divine Feminine album. Maybe it was meant to be, but when we listened to those songs a higher level of understanding and appreciation developed for me. It opened my eyes to my life choices and situations at the time. It inspired me to do something more for myself. While I’m not one of the greatest, I’m enjoying life when I write my poetry. One day I want to share my word to the public through my writing. So one day someone may feel that same inspiration I got from Mac. RIP, I hope you’re resting in peace.
This video sounds like a love letter to Mac Miller and I’m so thankful it exists. It taught me so much I didn’t already know about Mac ❤️ everything was beautifully well put, thank you!
Well done. You speak so eloquently and respectfully of Mac and who he was. Of course he shared so much of himself with us. I am so sorry that he is no longer here. His music changed my life, and continues to do so. Thank you for putting such great care and effort into this. Your love and awe of Mac is so evident. Beautiful tribute.
those last 5 minutes was truly art, I don't think anybody could've said it better than you, you have true talent I can't believe these aren't getting much recognition.. much love♥️♥️ and Merry Christmas!
Man, thank you for making this channel and thank you for making this video! We love and miss him dearly. Mental health is one of the most important topics of today's world and we should shed light where it's needed. You guys are not alone through any of this thing we call Life.
I sit here in tears watching this remembering growing up listening to every album he released im 22 now and I ain’t going to lie I still wish I could have had the time to see him at least once and listen to him in person rip man I will forever love you’re music bro!😢
This is why Mac was really on a different planet than most artist. I hate when people put him on the same level of someone like Lil Peep. Peep’s music was nowhere near Mac Miller. Mac is such a legend.
i love your focus on faces because i personally think it was the highlight of mac’s creative process he put his all into it and you can feel it within the tracks…side note you are so talented at your craft if you ever stopped making videos i might actually cry
Watching movies with the sound off was the first hip hop album I felt that was made for me truly changed my life for the better I’ve been since and always will be a devoted fan for life
Man what a beautiful video! Circles and Swimming will for ever be in my playlists and heart, he looked so deeply into himself and brought so much life for tough moments for all of us!
The first time I listened to circles from start to finish I did because I got the vinyl. It will forever by my favourite vinyl. God knows how many times I’ve sat with the sound of circles in my ears, feeling every note and word with such sadness knowing that there’s nothing else after this record. What an absolute legend. RIP Mac.
Mac would be up there with J Cole, Drake, or K-Dot right now. He was a fucking genius, and a one of a kind soul. To his fan base, he was that friend we all needed, the one who did music that we could relate to better than anyone else. Mac, we all miss you. Rest in paradise.
I've been putting this video off for months bc I knew I would cry. I still cried. such a beautiful soul. he deserved so much more, not just as an artist, but as a human. miss him so much
As soon as I started this video I knew tears weren’t far away. As a kid who grew up in western Pennsylvania Mac was such a huge part of my childhood. As that same kid grew up and met some of the more cruel aspects of adult life, I felt like both swimming and circles reflected some of the same struggles I was facing at the time and they really provided such a sanctuary as I learned to navigate those troubled waters. I miss you Mac and I hope that there’s some place where you could know just how impactful your work was to all of us. Thank you. P.s. the new album is dope
It's actually astonishing how many actually miss him this long after he's been gone. I still can't find a single artist I've ever related with more than this man. And I still struggle to find music that made me emotionally attached like him
Mac Miller... I cannot express the impact and contribution this man has on my whole life as a person, musician and an individual. Thank you for this video and your work!
I gotta say guys put out some of the best content. And I’m really looking forward to that necklace I ordered! You are highly underrated. But I know you’ll get the recognition you deserve
Beautifully made. A perfect representation of him, all he was and all he created, as we know it. Thank you for this beautiful tribute and memoir. I enjoyed every bit of it. 🤍🕊
Appreciate you taking the time out your day to put this together, your commentary was on point. Your swag is on point too, scarf looks too sweet. Long live Mac Miller ❤️🩹
Sometimes I wake up sad that I wasn't into Mac until after he passed. But even so, his music inspires me daily, and as sad as it is that I'll never see him perform live, I'm eternally grateful for what he gifted to us
I am crying, in absolute tears right now now and its 2024, Mac’s music has helped me get through so much of my dark times. He was like the big brother I never met.
I got more into his music when circles came out. Once I played it on repeat 500 times I checked out his other stuff more heavily and realized the genius he was with music.
This is much better than I expected it to be when I clicked on it. Very well said, researched and produced. You managed to cover so much in just 30 minutes. Well done. Thank you. You've gained another follower. Sorry im late.
When Mac was still alive I was part of the group that thought that he was just a 'frat rapper', and after he died I started listening to his music and saw how beautiful it was and I'll never forgive myself for not appreciating his music while he was still around
What I love about videos about Mac is that it’s never tiring hearing about how much of he developed his sound and artistry and how well respected he was from the audience and his peers. Great job on this video.
I clicked on this video so fast. I first heard Senior Skip day when I was in middle school and continued to grow up with his music as he and his music kind of grew up too. He’s the only celebrity death that really hit me and made me grieve for someone I’ve never known or met before. I have the words “come back to earth” tattooed on my back, def want more Mac tattoos. RIP, thank you for sharing your music with the world ❤️
you managed to put into words so many things i’ve been thinking and feeling abt this guy, thank you so much for sharing this and giving us more knowledge about the amazing artist and human mac was. 1992 til infinity 🕊
Took me awhile to finally watch this. Been sitting in my watch later for months.. it still hurts that we lost Mac. Wish I could see my mans again. Dude walked side by side with me through my childhood.
I loved Mac. From the UK I got to see him live and I couldn’t wait to see his show once more. As being the same age as him I felt like his music evolved at the same time as I grew up and matured so I really connected with his music. Thanks for the documentary
I really got into Mac when I moved to Pittsburgh in 2015. Favorite artist. Kills me knowing we won’t ever get new music from him. Such a kind, talented, and beautiful person. A true musician.
Great cliff notes deep dive! Learned some new nuggs, some of which resonate on a personal level. Makes me love him even more but also feel his loss all the more as well. I’ve shed a few tears multiple times watching my baby boy bounce to circles, and can’t imagine what his parents are still going through, but I hope vids like this that sing his praise and the trove of art he left behind to those that loved him offer some relief, however bittersweet it may be.
He was my best companion from 2010-2018, at the highest and lowest in my life (feels like we grew up together, matching our lows and highs). Miss you, my friend. Thank you for keeping me alive ❤
Legendary artist, the definition of creating your own lane, invaluable contributions to music + I'm sure the lives of countless other young guys like me
Thank you for this video. Felt like I grew up with Mac, vibing to his earlier frat rap era in my teen years, to his darker shit in my late-teens/early 20s existential crises, to falling in love the same time he got with Ariana Grande & feeling on top of the world, to becoming solemn when my breakup occurred around his & he dropped Swimming. That album in particular is very special to me because of that fact. His passing has been the one celeb death that impacted me. RIP Mac Miller 🙏🏼
Mac miller isn’t just a inspiration himself he’s also just a pure genius in the music world. He did a colab with empire of the sun on in my opinion his biggest hit the spins. It’s the hit that got everyone into Mac and is one of his most popular to this day. He sang over the song half mast and the song is amazing in its own way. We all love you Mac RIP
Probably my favorite human to walk this earth. Macs music will always hold a special place in our hearts and I know it'll continue to flow through us for infinity. Rest easy Mac. 🕊
I think the true beauty of his music was how it evolved and changed. He was a few years older than me, so it felt like watching an older brother grow up in a way. All of his music was so personal, and felt like an emotional guidebook to the different stages of life, explaining how he processed the emotions that came with them. I remember crying when he died. I didn't understand why at the time. I never met this guy, he has no idea who I am. Him being gone, means you're on your own now to figure things out for yourself. I'm now older than he was when he died. Wish he was still around to show the way, but thankful for what he left before he passed.
Literally the only artist that I can’t stop crying about every time I hear his music or think about. His music got me through alot and still is getting me through life at this very moment.
Great video and a very honest and real take on the life of a great artist. This video made me cry multiple times and i enjoyed every second of it. Thank you
I'm surprised more people don't talk about Blue World more often. It's one of my favorite songs of all time. I didn't realize it was released after his death.
It's not often that someone who has fame gives you such an insight into there thoughts and moods throughout their life. Mac was loved for this and because you could see the growing pains he went through in his music and the different stages of realization that went through his mind. I've never before or since been affected by someone's death that I did not know personally and I feel that is symbolic of the impact he had on many.
Got introduced to Mac Miller 2021 when i heard self care on an Instagram post. Immediately became a fan and was gutted to know he was no more. Rest in Power Mac Miller ❤🕊️
All the songs you mentioned so far “J’s on my feet” & “Senior Skip Day” were two of the songs that made me discover him & songs I still bump to this day. It’s interesting how everyone’s perspectives are different.

This is one of the best deep dives I’ve seen Mac miller was such a creative mind, I don’t think any one will match he’s soulful feeling in his songs
I gotta say guys put out some of the best content. And I’m really looking forward to that necklace I ordered! You are highly underrated. But I know you’ll get the recognition you deserve
thank you!
But even so, his music inspires me daily, and as sad as it is that I'll never see him perform live, I'm eternally grateful for what he gifted to us
this was a beautiful watch, thank you for the amazing production quality
For me, Another night is one of his best and most vulnerable songs. Great video🎉
Thank you for putting Mac’s life in a light that shows his true artistry, along with a message of your own. Fly high Mac & thank you for this video!
I am crying, in absolute tears right now now and its 2024, Mac’s music has helped me get through so much of my dark times. He was like the big brother I never met.
very underrated video. really enjoyed watching it. Rest in Peace Mac Miller
He was like that at 1st, after about 2012 he started to become more what he became in 2018 when he died then his village era Mac miller style.
Effortlessly cried throughout the whole video. Beautifully done my friend.
Most Dope that’s forever ❤ I love you Malcolm. Thank you.
his musical evolution is so beautiful man, idk why but to me it feels like i lost an elder brother that i never had.. what a legend!!!
Mac Really carried me through later end of highschool when I first listened. The spins is still a bittersweet listen. Great video
What I love about videos about Mac is that it’s never tiring hearing about how much of he developed his sound and artistry and how well respected he was from the audience and his peers. Great job on this video.
Mac was my #2 most listened to artist of 2023. RIP Mac ❤ thank you for everything
Who was #1? 😂
not only was this video amazingly composed, it was also probably one of the best biographies about a rapper ive ever seen.
fly high mac
His music helped me through a lot
Damm this one got me in tears, love your content dude, faces will forever be my favorite mixtape of all time
Took me awhile to finally watch this.
This video is incredible. Thank you for telling this story it’s very inspiring
This man’s music impacted my life heavily growing up. It really got me through a lot and I wish he was still alive creating. We love & Miss you Mac.
Thanks!
Watching movies with the sound off literally gives me a vibe unlike anything I’ve ever felt, no drug, food, place or person has ever made me feel that
Ohmygod thank you for making this. I'm crying. The writing in this is phenomenal. We miss you, Mac.
Swimming and circles are some of my favorite albums ever. Rip mac.
Same
This was an amazing video!! He was a true legend and hopefully will never be forgotten!!
RAHHHHH New Faces v.2 mentioned!!!!!!
Great video bro, miss him every day
Great video and a very honest and real take on the life of a great artist. This video made me cry multiple times and i enjoyed every second of it. Thank you
I'm surprised more people don't talk about Blue World more often. It's one of my favorite songs of all time. I didn't realize it was released after his death.
Thank you for taking the time to make this, I see anything Mac Miller and I have to watch, awesome video.
🖤🖤 This kid and Robin Willams are the only 2 I can watch videos of and actually tear/cry. Both are so missed beyond words!!
Rest in Power Mac Miller ❤🕊️
incredible video man please dont give up you will get the recognition you deserve just keep going
All the songs you mentioned so far “J’s on my feet” & “Senior Skip Day” were two of the songs that made me discover him & songs I still bump to this day. It’s interesting how everyone’s perspectives are different.
I like that with your videos I watch it as a documentary or listen to it as an audible. Very creative in both aspects
