Matthew Murphy Your comment doesn't really make much sense. Android devices have way more customizations than apple. If you have used both kinds before you would know this.
If apple copies other products then why is it that the other day when i asked my friend who owns a galaxy what a galaxy phone was he said "oh it's basically an iphone with better features". So clearly android aren't the only ones copying other companies. Btw before you respond to this comment by saying "oh another iphone fanboy" I don't use the iphone. I just bought the galaxy s4 yesterday. So please enlighten us with more of your "my phone is better than yours" duchebaggery.
You make a point that the folders take a quarter of a second more to open on iOS, but look how much longer the android took to open it's app store at 4:07 and yet you mention nothing about the time.
The thing I like about iPhone, is that the OS, phone, and everything is made by the same company. with Android, practically anyone can make a phone and run Android's OS on it so the reliability isn't guaranteed. The thing that sucks is that there are probably only a few good android phones on the market, but even so, none of them look as nice as the iPhone. I think we all know more people who own iPhones than any other phone.
True. I've been using Android for about 2 weeks on an old Evo 3D, and I have to say that Google Now works really well. Now and Siri both have their strengths and weaknesses.
because that would require him showing off what you can get by rooting the Android, and that would basically just be so OP that the Siri on the iPhone would just be like "Fuck this, I'm going to go lay down in Steve Jobs' grave"
One thing I like about android over iOS is that you're not locked in with iTunes. You can just drag and drop files into your phone and don't have to even use iTunes
I like how everyone complains that apple phones aren't just like android phones, they can't be exactly alike, its just about what people like better. There's no point of getting mad over someone's opinions.
1:you can download mp3 files 7: if u have a jailbreak u can customize widgets, skins, lock screen, face and fingerprint scan 6: There is a PROPER notification bar-it's just like IOS.
I love iOS due to the fact that I had android 2.2 froyo back than with the original galaxy s phone. It was laggy to the point where I could no longer use it. Instead of buying an iPad I just brought the new nexus 7. I really enjoy jelly bean,. I like the widgets, google now and other things, but there are so many things I still do not know! Very different than iOS to me.
If you listened to the video you would've heard that he later says one of the limitations to google now is that it can't access certain parts of the phone's OS like siri can, referring to the alarm test.
Being an Engineer with 40 years of experience does not mean that there is no chance that you may have handled a smartphone wrong. Regardless of Android or iOS (Not being biased here) I've never had, nor heard of false activation of buttons that weren't pressed, and I've used both. A lot. It looks like it is not a problem with the phone itself, but with the way you are using it. Do not take this personally, I did not mean to slight you. Maybe you could try once more and determine the real reason?
Well, one of my friends has an iPhone, and she was so upset that she couldn't bluetooth her photos to the PC. She had to upload the pic to twitter and open up her twitter on PC just to get the pic. Apple is just amazing.
as an experienced electronic engineer of 40 years I have repaired and rebuilt numerous item through the years from Tv's to Videos to CD players. PC's Laptops,Apple computers. so I know what I am doing with this stuff the iphone is better in my opinion but what do i know compared to your exalted self.
When the iphone is faster: "oh looks like the iphone was a tad bit faster on that one but what does it matter" when android is faster: "ok iphone getting a bit slow, apple needs to work on that".
1) You can with MeowSeek 2) No one uses flash anymore 3) You can with jailbreak 4) You can do it in native music app 5) You can with iTools programm 6) You can customize it with jailbreak 7) Again, jailbreak solves it And it's super easy to do the jailbreak, just by one click on pc. So yeah, iOS is easier to use and much more stable.
The problem for Apple is they've spent so much time accusing others of copying, they can't really start using stuff from Android, and Android has pulled ahead in terms of features. Widgets for example, how can Apple include them without looking like hypocrites?
Didn't Apple themselves say that iOS is meant to be SIMPLE for SIMPLE people like you? Android can be simple, yet you can take it up a level and go crazy with beautiful and helpful tweaks and ROMs. You hate Android because you are way too simple to understand it.
1) Jailbreak 2) Jailbreak 3) Jailbreak 4) Downloading App 5) Downloading a program 6) Jailbreak 7) Jailbreak You do realize that jail breaking your iOS device will cause you to void your warranty? Once you break it, apple will not accept it. UNTIL you restore your iOS device. Don't compare Android and iOS, or any operating mobile systems. Phones were meant to just be used for calling, text, voice, and data.
I believe Flash has been dropped since Android 4.1. I agree on the rest. Especially having to have sync profiles to get data on and off is really inconvenient.
Hey guys, I'm a former iOS user and had iPhone 2G, 3G, 4 with iOS. Now I bought Sony Xperia V with Android 4.1 and I can tell you that android sucks. It drains my battery without a single app installed like 10% for 2 hours just laying down on a table. With iPhone 4 I could drive 2 hours GPS and browse the internet 30 minutes and I still had battery for the evening. The android eats so much, that after 30 min GPS and 40 min browsing I'm left without a phone. Some bugs always appear that I have t
Very good video! You don't see many reviews lately where people are honest and respect other people's opinions. The fact that you aren't bias towards any of the phones means that you can't purposely give false information to the viewers. I really appreciate the last phrase of the video. It ensures that both systems are good, but you're giving them the chance to chose witch phone they do in fact prefer, instead of rubbing yours against them. The video was very well done, and I really liked it.
The only thing is that their tablets never made it into the market and were never as well received, the tech was around but it was not being used to it's potential.
Can you have a live background without voiding your warranty? How about a custom lockscreen? Widgets? Custom ROMs? Custom Kernel? Updates after support is dropped (ex. CyanogenMod)? How about support for a quad core processor with 2 GB of RAM? SD Card? Yeah, that's what I thought.
I'm an Android user, but I think the differences shown in this comparison are so small that it really just becomes a matter of preference. These are all very minor differences and it's not even obvious that the differences are in the favour of Android. Just use whatever you like more. Yeah, Apple fanboys are really annoying, but those Android fanboys are doing a great job at being annoying too.
It really comes down to how reliable android is. I've had my first android phone with the droid 1 years ago and it was choppy, sluggish and unreliable. Switched to Iphone4 2 years ago and it was much faster and smoother experience. Switched from PC to Macbook about 4 years ago and till this day I still have no problems or viruses unlike pc's that I've owned catching them by 2 months. With that said who knows, maybe android polished up their game this time around. Just have to look into it.
They call it after a sweet snack... It's still better than putting an "i" everywhere. That's just stupid. "Oh my, what could be Apple's next invention? iCoffee? iGlasses? iPiano? iBook? iChair? iDesk?"
TBH, The Nexus 4 is probably the best Android phone you can buy, since it's been designed with Android side-by-side, similar to how iOS is designed for the iPhone and iPad hardware. Windows does contain fragmentation, but it's a closed source deal, so the fragmentation is much more regulated. As far as apps, even basic apps like Facebook or Flipboard hiccup more often. I don't think Android is horrible either, I just prefer iOS over Android, and i've used both for a long time.
My friend, iOS has NO FEATURES. How is Android meant to copy them? Android is famous for its endless possibilities of options, features, tweaks and widgets.
ios 1: cant download mp3 files 2:no flash player support 3:cant download and install apps files (as apk in android) 4:cant delete albums 5:cant easily transfer movies and music( itunes) 6:No PROPER Notification bar 7:No widgets or other customiazation options AND PEOPLE SAY THAT iOS is easy to use

You can say it as many times as you want. But android and iOS don't "do the same thing." Its a personal preference, but in the end android gives you more control, more customization, and a more "pc-like" experience where the user can basically do on his phone what he/she can do on a computer. That's not possible on iOS
To be honest, I don't care if the android's folder opens up a millisecond faster than the iPhone. The reason a lot of people love and stick with the phone is because it's pretty reliable.
Widgets are using RAM and you're internet connection (btw, speaking of that Android doesn't give you any control on what apps are able to use), so yes they slow down you're device. Would be the same with iOS of course. And iOS is much, much bigger talking about space (do Android updates use over 1 GB of space?). Also, Dropbox can't be compared to iCloud, because it doesn't backup you're device. You have to do that by yourself. And 5 GB is enough on iCloud (have two devices backed up right here).
You can add in as many features as you want. If the OS is highly fragmented, poor hardware optimization and abysmal app optimization, it doesn't even matter. As far as Google Glass, it's a great idea, I can't wait to see what comes out of it.

aren't as important as some people think because with one click you've got the Internet up, Twitter and Facebook up. The App Store may not be better functionality-wise but it's apps are of better quality and work better. Android's notification centre and their 'Jelly Bean' voice control are better though, and Apple hopefully have improved these in iOS 7.
Actually, the iPhone is one of the most premium feeling/looking devices on the market. It's the operating system that looks ancient. Also, the S4 design looks like a S3.5. Most people think android is more dificult to use than apple. Well they are dilusional. If you use a droid the same way you use an apple, the learning curve is no different. Android only seems "tougher" because there are so many features and option where as iOS absolutely is a simple OS. Just bought an s4 and still learning new things it can do. If you need a simple smart phone, get the iPhone. If you need a multi tasker and do it all, droid is your answer.
let's take a moment for our lord iOS 6...
miss you...

Sadly ios is starting to go down as jellybean is crushing it
KitKat has been out for more than 6 months...
Are you out of your mind?
nopp[e android has more features apple isn't organized its simple and has not good features
cmod doesgames Jailbroken iOS is just as good as Android.
Lol wrong its crappy the android for ipod is terrible
It's not even a contest. Android is so much better. Once you go android you don't want to go back.
It depends on machine. Samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0 sucks by speed when compared to iPad mini.
Altaïr ibn La-Ahad
iOS works better then Android in the point where Apple can customize iOS only for the Apple devices so it works much better.
Matthew Murphy Your comment doesn't really make much sense. Android devices have way more customizations than apple. If you have used both kinds before you would know this.
+Michael Young i went to android and found myself going back to ios so your comment was false
Google Now is basically a search engine. Siri is basically a personal assistant

This isn't a comparison video.
This is a video of you telling us what you like about Android over iOS.
Siri is inspired by "The Thinker".
And let's not forget the ones before Froyo: Cupcake, Donut and Éclair :D
Old Brandon Miniman. Great guy.
Android is free, and IOS still is "in the box" :O

Not to mention, most smartphone users don't know how to install a custom recovery, and it is not at all easy for a beginner to do.
this sort of conversations will never end.....
You are my new best friend :) Congrats on your self-realization, you are loved by many Android users!
Siri is a joke XD

Android is famous for its endless possibilities of options, features, tweaks and widgets.
Shows how little you know about Google Now.
It is also a predictive program, which siri completely lacks
The sync part on Android has grown about 2x maybe even 3x now... go check it out :)
Just wait for iOS 7 on iPhone 5S or 6. Your comparing 10 month old iPhone 5 to a S4
ios
1: cant download mp3 files

I miss the iOS 6 so much that I’m using Android Jellybean instead of iOS 12
Scrolling on the iphone is slow to avoid the white space that shows when scrolling really fast on Android
*takes popcorn and dumps over your head*
He said he SWITCHED from Apple. According to the dictionary, it means he originally had an Apple device, and now moved to Android and Samsung.
yes, but it also makes other holes. it took around 3 for a tethered, the untethered took only 5 months

For the notes taking app on Android, now Google have developed keep and it might be preloaded on the next android version
That sounds cool. Not "Android 4.5 Steak Fillet"
Because in the video, if you watched it, Siri failed to compute a decimal answer.
Thank you I thought I was the only one who noticed that. Along with convenient wording when siri was better.
"it should be nice tomorrow" hahahahha fail
To be honest, I don't care if the android's folder opens up a millisecond faster than the iPhone. The reason a lot of people love and stick with the phone is because it's pretty reliable.

i like it that you love your phone, i am a jelly bean big fan too, but, seriously, without steve jobs, we would have been years ago in technology

Your only trying to pick holes in the iPhone because it is simpler to use and looks better than all android operating systems.
Took 6 minutes just for you to say something good about iOS 6. I have a Nexus 4 and prefer android but this video is pretty biased.
Actually, a search bar is better than the URL bar if you use more than one search engines.
You forgot about the best part of the JB notification bar! Swipe with 2 fingers and you get the quick settings... kills the iPiece bar!
You can add in as many features as you want. If the OS is highly fragmented, poor hardware optimization and abysmal app optimization, it doesn't even matter. As far as Google Glass, it's a great idea, I can't wait to see what comes out of it.
According to this video, iOS excels in making the App store looks nice by using various shades of grey.
Then why is 5% of traffic from devices on every single phone? PC still kicks their asses.
Ever had an Sony Xperia Z in your hands? That's the solidest Android smartphone (of the more popular ones of course) you can get at the moment. You can throw that one into a pool and it will still work after a 30 minutes diving tour. You can also drive over it or throw it on a wall and it will still work fine.
I love the names to. There delicious! frozen yogurt, gingerbread, honeycomb, ice cream sandwhich, jelly bean, and soon to be key lime pie.
With the update of jelly bean to my android is been the best I mean the BEST experience ever finally Google stepping up, cannot wait for even a better one.
We don't even need Flash support, because many videos are working with the built-in video player. Flash is old.

Like with the siri alarm test, the nexus didn't work, but he didn't mentioned that Siri worked, funny..

Ok, I'm arresting myself.
I was halfway through the video when I commented.
not really, a patch would just affect the area its trying to fix. and also, thats why theres testings before all releases.
Ask your iPhone's Siri. She should know.
Notice how the iPhone's brightness is on low, very clever of the OP. Funny droid dude
Apple did not invent the tablet. Just want you to know that that is a HUGE misconception that people often hold.
And Windows Phone 8 stands peacefully in the corner...
This video has Too much nostalgia
