I been reading articles that Apple has lost it's magic and stocks are going down etc. I saw this a long time ago and is what got me making TH-cam videos. I hated repeating myself over and over on how amazing Android is and the features it offered.
So I made a video series to make it easier to share on forums, social networks etc. Here is an old video of my Android vs iOS series (Part 2) and one of my favorite parts that really show how ahead Android has been. If you haven't seen the whole series I highly recommend you watch it. Almost 1 million views!
Feel free to reshare and give this video a +1 If you like.

Saravana Kumar Karthikeyan I just wanted to share the truth and open some peoples eyes. BTW I have received hundreds of e-mails from people switching from iOS to Android. Although that was not my intention, it was mainly to educate people on how flexible, open, and awesome Android really is.

I agree that Android is better than iOS in so many ways, but you should've named these videos "why is android better" not "Android vs iOS". Also iOS has better runtime, everything compiles directly via iOS Webkit while Android uses something like a virtual machine and that's the reason why some games lag even on most powerful Androids (check spiderman 2 for example on gs5 or one m8 or any other android) and no lag ever on iPhone, even tho it has weaker processor (thanks to the direct compiling of app). Tho yea android is better than ios in more ways than vice versa

The removable battery is a very good point especially. I used to carry a charger but now I just walk around with an extra fully charged battery so I'm guaranteed to be back at 100% when my phone dies. It is much easier than trying to find an outlet to charge your phone at and having to wait until it gains enough juice for you to use it again.

you freaking rock! you are so fair and as an iphone user that has never ever used an android device before, i'm so glad to hear from someone that can point out iphone's flaws. like people seriously choose to ignore the flaws just because it's apple and go on dealing with how cumbersome it can be. now i can see how android "just works" (and yes ios does in other ways too, but i think android more so)

A quick google search will tell you that Thunderbolt is similar to firewire. Thunderbolt was a collaboration between Apple and Intel: Intel made the tech behind it, Apple helped them with integration. Also, Intel sent Thunderbolt dev kits out to interested parties back in may of 2011, but other companies were slow to release computers with thunderbolt equipped motherboards.

The Galaxy Nexus supports HDMI via MHL. The Droid X2 does as well. Quite a few Android phones do actually. There is a app on the play store that allows Android phones do use PS3 controllers via bluetooth. So basically you hook up your Android to the TV via HDMI and use a PS3 to play the emulator. Its actually fairly simple.

The inconsistency of the "go back" button is worse on android than on iOs. On the nexus 7, the three buttons on the device even disappear on some apps, and you have to guess which invisible button is the one. Sometimes when get too many levels inside an app (google play for instance) u have to be careful when going back or youll go way over to the "desktop" without noticing...

You can also use chrome sync instead of chrome to phone. Pull down menu select devices and it shows you all chrome instances and pages opened or last opened.

  • @mav3rick29
    @mav3rick29 12 ปีที่แล้ว

If you're using Google Chrome, you just have to log in to both Google Chrome mobile on your phone and Google Chrome on your PC. Sync is the default setting so you don't have to do anything after you log in. All you have to do next is click on the other devices tab (bottom right of mobile chrome) and you'll see the websites that are currently open or recently opened on your desktop computer (or devices).

In your video, you say that the iPhone doesn't have OTA automatic install, but that was one of the major selling points of the OS. When you buy an app in the App store, if enabled, the app will download in iTunes and on all linked iOS devices

    Because people always:
    1)want to appear cool
2)fall for obvious buzzwords and advertising campaigns
    3)are peer pressured into it
4)want to keep up with the same thing over and over
There are many, many more variables to situations like this.

Your start was the most accurate ios vs android start ever. Sharing. Jesus its like so simple in android sharing anything via anything, while in apple.. arrghhh. Apple needs to offer what they advertise and that is simplicity. My android GS3 has 2 homescreens and i have everything i need instantly in two screens, and when im in an app and want to do something my android makes those apps work together way better. Its integrates them, its not like you have some apps in the phone each doing its own

I'm loving these videos. I spent two months researching phones and just got my first, a Samsung Galaxy S3, on Sunday. :) I figure I don't need the absolute newest (S4) since it's my first device and from what I looked up the S3 should meet my needs. So far I'm really loving it. I contemplated getting an iPhone 5 because I really like my iPod Touch, but I didn't like the screen size (4") and felt it would be just a music player, which I don't need.

its not just that fb intergration is present...it's that any 3rd party app can add itself to the sharing list...so any media, document, or page can be shared with any app you choose. You don't have to wait for apple to dictate which apps you can share to. It opens up the operating system in a huge way, and allows you to work like it's a desktop. Dropbox, box.com, any messaging app you choose, document editing programs, etc... iOS can't come close to that functionality.

The fact is, the Samsung Galaxy S3 alone will battle against top sales vs the iPhone, even with so many great phones this year.

  • @sleepless1978

In the first video you pointed out how Android can do the same functions it takes iOS a few more clicks and taps to do overall several features. If saving a few seconds is important to you then that's a point well made.
Then in this video, the first thing you show is how in iOS sharing is one click away from sharing, but sharing to things in Android is multiple clicks away. Sure you can share to more than you can in iOS, but it's 2 or 3 more clicks to do it.
    So which is more important....

Okay guys, I used to be a hardcore apple fanboy. I used to HATE on Android because it wasn't as "popular" as iOS. I used to say that android was hard to use until I decided to use my upgrade my iPhone 4 to a Samsung Galaxy Exhilarate. We all know that the Galaxy Exhilarate isn't a "flagship" phone. I fricken LOVED the whole android experience. It worked so smoothly for ME. The thing about Android is that it is made for me and you and you and you. iOS is only made for one type of person in mind.

  • @Fett132
    @Fett132 11 ปีที่แล้ว

The first point you bring up about sharing:
You can only share with Facebook and Twitter with iOS because that is what is built into the system. Developers are not allowed to integrate their own apps as part of the system, so Apple has to make the decision here.
With Android, developers can install their 'sharing' button into the system. Thats why you see it there.
In the end, you will always get varying quality, varying stability on Android unlike on iPhone. I have both.

Yes it was me. That's what happened. I owned an Android, it wasn't very good. I switched to iPhone and that worked very well for me.
I'm well aware most Android users feel that Android is a superior OS than iOS is currently. I don't even feel that iOS is better than Android, I genuinely couldn't care less who's "best" they're so frickin' similar it hardly matters to me. I don't care about stats and specs on phones to be honest. I just care that it works and feels nice to use and looks good.

It's called Chrome to Phone, an old method surpassed by the chrome sync between the desktop and the phone. Now it's easier to open up Chrome on the phone and just click on "other devices", atleast I find that easier, because there are situations where I don't need the info right away. So if I leave the tab open on the PC it'll be in my list of open tabs on the phone anyhow.. :)

Well when it comes to any thing other than what ios allows sharing is not one click away. android allows sharing to any type so sharing is always the same amount of clicks away. Also, it's only in the that particular browser that sharing is located in that menu in, apps and other browser, sharing is usually located without having to open a menu, the same thing can be said with ios.

Its not laggy. I am using it on my HTC Desire. Pretty old model. Works pretty smooth. Delayed my decision of buying a new phone by six months. But, yes, frame rates on iOS is better. I am ready to give up ultra smoothness for functionality. No crashes for me. May be you are using a Custom ROM. Plus, iOS and Android both crashes. Both handles it differently. Android shows a pop up while iOS throws you back to homescreen. You never knew what actually happened.

Many emulators can stream the screen to a HDMI port. Plus some android phones can do that natively, like the Samsung Wave Series. Or Xperia Play.
There are about 5 mirroring apps for android i know of, so that's more than enough. So basically yes, you can easily give presentations from your android device over wifi, i'm doing that on a regular basis. You could even use your pc over 3G with LogMeIn or Teamviewer.

Yep, forgot to check the date. BUT, universal apps for iPhone and iPad didn't come from iOS 6, that's for sure. They've been there from the beginning. Also iCloud was present before, though I will double-check about tabs syncing, I'm sure at least bookmarks syncing was present since iCloud was introduced.
So anyway, stuff is wrong in this video. Universal apps (for iPhone and iPad), as every iOS user knows, are actually much more common that apps sold separately for iPhone and iPad.

The car you drive might not have electric mirrors, but if it doesn't affect you, you don't really care do you?

the up loader did an excellent job... every tech guy knows that ios is not a multi tasking os( pausing one app for the other, Bluetooth that only works with speakers and restricting data to itunes is just ridiculous). its fine for really old people or kids who dont really wanna do much but technology is really growing fast even at primary school level, therefore if apple doesnt change to the wind, it will be left behind.

Before I had an iPhone, I took a "problem phone" to both the manufacturer and the shop and both blamed each other.
It constantly froze up, apps would just die, the phone itself felt cheap and flimsy and the UI drove me up the wall.
It was the Samsung Galaxy S running Android...

Not everyone wants to take something cheap feeling out of their pocket when they need to use a mobile or internet ready device. Some people like the feeling of something beautifully designed, with a feeling of a premium product.
That's why Apple made the iPhone 4, 4S and now the 5.
Just accept the fact that different people like different things...

lol, I'm getting an android tablet for christmas, and my parents let me open it early to make sure it had google play (the other stores suck). It didn't, but I was able to get it on by downloading it on my pc. I synced it with my google account so now I can send apps that I'll want on it to it, all wrapped up and stuff

They chose to do that because
    1. Android users aren't willing to pay for apps
    2. Piracy
And yes, there is a big jailbreaking community, but overall there are a TON of people that make their living off apps in the app store. Compare that to developers trying to make it with Android apps.

@RockTo11 The problem is there is a specific tablet version of over 100,000 apps on iPad. This forces users to buy the app twice, one for phone and one for tablet.

One of the biggest impacts on Android, however, is that you're never really sure if all the apps work the way you're expecting them to. Some phones do not support Gif files, cannot play certain video's, have terribly slow chipsets, that kind of stuff, as where Apple has one brand you can buy, and has different versions of it.
Don't mistake me; I think Apple is terrible for it's lack of choice. With Android phones, you can choose a variety of models to match your personality, and it's cheaper.

No, what he meant was that ios has been tailored to a "one size fits all" operating system. That is, Apple has designed the ios in a way that they believe requires no customisation at all and is capable to cater to every type of person who uses it - from young teens to young adults, tech geek to beach boy, businessmen to stay at home mum, men and women. iPhone forces the user to perform and run tasks in a predetermined limited fashion, but they think it is perfect and requires no tweaking.
