This is the best walkthrough video of these units that I've seen on TH-cam so far. Very in-depth.
Waiting patiently for Part 3! This is a great walk-through and explanation of the Console software. Would love to see some explanation and examples of using different configurations of the inputs and outputs incorporated with outboard gear, especially racked with a patchbay for routing.

By far the best walk through I've seen on Console. Really helpful and nicely presented without feeling hyped.
The comment about the Combo jacks defeating the DB25 connections is only half right. That's only if a 1/4" cable is plugged into the combo jack. In other words, you can connect 8 mics via XLR and also connect 8 line inputs via DB25 and switch between them using the mic/line selector - so you don't have to re-patch. See page 30 of the manual for more info.

This was INCREDIBLY helpful, thank you. Do you have a Part3? I subscribed. I don't see a Part 3 on your channel. I have everything plugged in and seeing wav forms but getting no sound through headphones, or monitors. I feel like I've tried EVERYTHING. I may have to call the support line tomorrow. Thank You for your video though! I learned a lot and am continuing to learn.
This is great! Only 23 views? I guess everyone who uses UAD gear was just born knowing how to use the software. What happened to Part 3? You were just getting to the stuff that I've been trying to an easier way to understand than wandering through the maze of cross references in the 240 page manual. Great walkthrough-while it lasted.

Could you please describe and show how the 5.1 monitoring works on the X6 ? Are you able to route a 5.1 signal through an optical out and into an optical in on a surround receiver ? You see... This might be news to UA; there are not only musicians but there are also videographers forced to buy a X6 because surround monitoring is sabotaged on the X4. Thx !

Great info!!! Do you know how to connect Burl B2 Bomber ADC to Apollo 6x for tracking? I'm using using a Neumann 103 into bae 1072 preamp MacBook pro m1 Cubase 12 Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I seem to have a big problem with a possible simple solution. I get no audio from any of the 8 cables from the db25 outputs on the back. Also, when I click settings, those 8 outs are grey. Do you guys happen to know where to click to get those to work? I just want to use Apollo x8p as an 8 input, 8 output AD/DA converter for Logic to record/play. Thank you.

Hello..I have a ryzen 7 2700 and I ordered an apollo x6! I didn't know about thunderbolt 3 compatibility!Now i found about ASrock x570 Phantom Gaming itx!it has thunderbolt 3 port. But would be stable, should I buy it or wait since Intel gave permission to AMD for thunderbolt 3 in February, for new motherboards to come out?
I don't have the out put section... and the i/o matrix isn't there... why??

Please assist me, I want to connect 6 speakers to my Apollo XP8 but I have only 2 Outputs.. what can I do as I have a project that requires 5.1 surround sound
You'll need a DB25 cable with XLR or TRS on the other end for this, should be easy to find!
I don't know why, but I have a SM7b and cloudlifter into input 1 and get no sound. Preamp is lit orange, cranked and I get nothing. Any idea?
Unison plug-ins can interfere with devices like Cloudlifter. If you really want to use the Cloudlifter make sure you're using the "clean" version of the preamp i.e. green strip on the preamp encoder, without any Unison plug-ins. I can't connect it to my Mac ! I downloaded the driver and its up to date to my Mac but it doesn't recognize it

That's exactly what I was thinking! I wish UAD would spend less money on their cheesy product endorsement spots and invest a little bit into some instructional videos like what FabFilter did with Dan Worrall. Now, if someone would do one of these for the Twin. I have a Twin and a Satellite, and I can't figure out the routing for the life of me! The manual is a 240 page maze of cross references. Console is very different with the Twin and Satellite. It doesn't have common sense I/O routing like this.
