    I watched 4 hours of videos to find one simple answer, a really basic thing... you mentioned it at about 4 minutes in. Ta da. I'm a newbie, so... it was a seriously newbie problem, but prevented me 100% from actually getting anything done.
    THANK YOU for covering actual basics sir.

    Finally, a straight forward explanation. Thank you Ryan. I’ve learned a lot in this short video. Truly, Apollo 6X is a different utility. I’m a vocal singer whom knows nothing or little about engineering. You have made a difference sir. Keep up the good work. Simple is better. 👊😎🙏🏾

      @@TheGearCage Do you have any instruction on Apollo X6 with Cubase 11 or 12? Can I match the 5 tracks in Cubase to the five Chanel’s of the UAD? How does that work. Thanks for your speedy response. You seem a good dude. You are clear and concise.

    • @TheGearCage
      @TheGearCage  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Tritonprince Yeah, that's how it works! So, if you plug your microphone into analog input 1 you can set channel one in Cubase as your recording channel from the interface.
      Remember, if you want to record exactly what you hear and have setup in the console you can click the light next to where it says 'insert'. If it's set to Blue that means you'll monitor in the console only. BUT, if it's red that means what you hear in the console will record directly to Cubase in your case. That way, if you get a sound you really like you can just record it without any fuss. This is one of the powerful features of the Apollo Console.

    • @Tritonprince
      @Tritonprince 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheGearCage Yes, Ryan your demo explained your last statement.
      I’m still slightly confused about how the MIDI/ Digital instruments benefit from the Apollo X6. Is it safe to say the Apollo interface is primarily for Vocals? If I have twenty tracks in Cubase are they all on one Chanel of the UAD? Please forgive my lack of understanding. I’m just now admitting that the Conrona Virus took a hit on my memory and I’m just catching back up. Your instructions have been the most “laid back” and easy to follow. Thanks 🥇🏆🎖.

    Ryan. I echo the other comments about the value of your videos. Your pace and cadence are ideal for your listener. In contrast, when I watch the official Universal Audio Luna tutorials, I have to stop the tape numerous times and repeat the sections over and over to digest the information provided. Maybe, you could audition for that role. You indicated in this video that you were going to be doing some Luna specific videos. I haven't found any on your channel. I would encourage, if not beg, you to do as many UA and Luna videos that you can. There is a large audience yearning for your through and precise videos for this new UA product as well as their ancillary software and hardware. Thanks again for your efforts.

    My first Apollo just arrived in the mail. I will be hooking it up this week, and after working in Pro Tools for 17 years with a "regular interface" (No "Console" software) Im a bit overwhelmed with changing my creative process, and learning something new. I'm probably overthinking things, but I am trying to get as informed as possible going into this new world. One of my worries/questions... Does Console save it's settings for every single Pro Tools session I create for clients? Or do I have to like... write down all the stuff I loaded into their Console settings? And redo it all? It would be very relieving to learn console saves all the sessions, much in the same way Pro Tools does??

    I just want to know if I should pull the trigger on the twin duo (USB) for Windows
    Or get the Apollo twin x ( thunderbolt)
    (Because there both the same price point )
    N wait till I can upgrade my PC
    I wish to know if the upgrade is worth the time I’d be waiting
    Since I’ve heard the converters are better and pre amps are better
    I’ve also heard low end is more controlled
