Hey buddy I have a question if you don't mind. Have a 661 carb, has a Eagon air filter and a slightly larger hole in the factory muffler. I'm running about 2 turns out on the H screw sitting about 12,700 with a nice 4 stroke at wot, little pressure in a cut and seems to clear up fine. Do you think I should lean it out just to where it hits 13k wot? If it matters I'm running a 28 inch bar. Honestly just want the saw to be safe, not looking for gobs of power. Just need something to rely on. I appreciate your time. If I missed anything I'll reply back quickly. P.S low seems to be on point revs quickly and drops back to idle quick about 3050 rpms. thanks Ben P
Hi Julian. Did you guys drill the main jet on the WJ69? I just opened up one of these WJ-135B's and noticed the main jet is a 61. I was curious if drilling the main jet on the carb would make a difference on the ported saw. My ported 461 is drilled to a 70, for example. Great vid. Thanks to you and Scott for doing these tests.
yeah we did this approx 1.5yrs ago with the same result. Only that time we didn't have the euro/non mtronic coil...just kept the mtronic coil in place but disconnected the solenoid (hung it off to the side)to keep the circuit, then used a WJ69. It would have been nicer to have a 661 carb instead (as far as we can tell the dimensions etc are the same) but in the end the results would of been the same. Bottom line - it was close the first time. It was close this time. It was close on the Stihl 462 mtronic vs carb'd. If there was THAT big of difference we would of seen it.

My stock wj41 on my 064 has a 70 jet 😁

It's a great test an all but the only reason I swap out the m-tronic is for tuning after I port...

you would have better luck with an unlimited coil and a std 661 carb instead of the 660
The less electric sensor the more reliable.
