That is an OUTSTANDING hat! I've watched this video a few times for your take on the 661... Which I'm not the biggest fan of...to say the least. But how have I never noticed the sweet hat? Lol Thanks for the content, wisdom, and words. All are appreciated more than my humble words. Thank you Don. It means a lot. *edit:.. the 066 Mag/660 is phenomenal!!! Not casting aspersions at the 394 nor 395.... great saws, but that 066 Mag is phenomenal!! The "mag". Just a beast of a saw. Heavy, but the power is phenomenal. It just pulls chain and slings chips regardless of the situation.
I love my 661. never had an issue with it been cutting for 3 years. I do take good care of it and run a max flow. The stock air filter sucks fines in. Hey Donny what’s a good mix oil for 372, 462, and 661. I’m in California. I don’t like Stihl. I’ve been running the VP premix and love it but it’s pricey at $20 a gallon. My cylinder is squeaky clean and good oil on everything. 50;1
This exactly Donny, been running 661’s since 2014 with no issues and they have all Been in heavy west coast conditions. Ask your buddy at WCS what he thinks about them. His absolutely rip!!
There must have been something wrong with that fellows 661, maybe someone advanced the timing. The MS 661 Magnum regular carb sold here in the USA has a max rev. of 13,500 rpms. They are also now selling the MS 462 with a regular carb here as well. I have not had good luck with the 5 series Huskies, I think Husky got the 592xp I was testing fixed, I will run it tomorrow and touch base with you on the issues we have been having with them, maybe you can address that with Husky as well. Have a great weekend!
You think Canada prices are high, I'm trying to find a piston for my 462 in Aus and I can't justify genuine prices. Emailed meteor to see if they have started production on them yet.
Cool good luck tomorrow. I have a question, I have 029 Stihl, with a .325 chain & 20in bar, I would like to put 24in bar so can I go with 3/8 chain or do I need to stay with .325 chain to keep the torque and power I know I will lose some torque & power by going with 24in bar but it does have muffler mod, I’m going us it to buck with, and that’s it I, would appreciate your knowledge on this
Seems like the 550’s got a problem there for sure just had to send mine back to you guys for the same problem it’s to bad cause there rippers of a saw and feels great in the hands
Thanks a lot for fixing my saw it’s means a lot to me how great your guys service is out there I hope to be able to do business with you guys for years to come u guys are definitely a cut above the rest
I find it funny you can't order a new carb but we still have the ms461 sold in Canada, not the US. Go figure... Actually, sold in Quebec anyway, not sure about the rest of Canada...

Sounds like your VP is working good we run 50:1 with good mix oil and at least 89 and above octane fuel

Hey Don is it ok to use 87 octane in a big saw?
If you don’t have nothing else but you should use a min of 89 octane
@@donnywalker4691 Ok thank you Don, I will put 91 in my saw, here in Newfoundland we have lots of non ethanol.
