When the boys are traveling, just re-use the commercial plastic p.b. jar. Flexible, washable, seals. Can put the p.b., hazel nut spread in same jar.

Vacuum seal smaller quantity's of peanut butter in single serving sizes for travel the vacuum sealer would also seal rice in jars

      @modernhomesteadalaska  ปีที่แล้ว

That’s a great idea. We do lots of rice that way. Now that we have a sealer.

You know those fruit containers and you peel off the tops while you can put whatever item that a peanut butter is going to go with on the bottom of your tanning jar and then you put the peanut butter on the top and then you close the cover with an old lid.

Grapeseed oil (any seed oils actually) are highly inflammatory so avocado and true extra virgin olive oil are a better bet as far as staying healthy. Your pantry looks great!

@@modernhomesteadalaska It's true , including tomatoes are the same way.
There many foods, I can't eat because of High Inflammatory. It makes me miserable , no matter if I stand,
walk, etcc. I stick with Costco's 100% Italian Olive Oil , I feel much better and doesn't affect my stomach.
I am NOT speaking about ALL people , but when you age, your stomach can't handle certain foods,
it's like everything changes. I learn this the hard way, back in January 2013 , I had to change, what I ate.
Some people will get a big suprise when they become into there 50's and up.

I do 2 tablespoon of salt to one cup of either liquid. Just make sure your chesse is under the liquid brine. Hope that helps at least for 3 weeks after you bring it home and open it...🤗🙏

Just saw your video and found you for first time. You could do peanut butter in small sandwich bags and he could cut a hole in corner and squeeze out onto his bread or crackers. Not sure if you use plastic or not, but just an idea. Hope that helps. Love your kitchen!

Well thank you. That’s honestly a good idea for the kid that will be taking it! Welcome nice to meet you.

If you can spare some mason jars, and you think it can be packed in a way in which it wouldn’t break, that is how I would send the peanut butter:)

You can get screw top Tupperware to store the peanut butter in.

Ziplock twist n lock containers being plastic and in various sizes might travel better than glass for your son. Even the regular ones might work too. Just an idea.

I use avocado oil for everything and sometimes coconut oil as well. Love those huge labels, did you make them or purchased them? I like them. Nice pantry.

I love your pantry, but girl I’m so nervous for those shelves without earthquake straps. I know you’ll obviously add them, they’re on the other shelves already, I just have earthquake ptsd. 😅
For the peanut butter, could you make little vacuum sealed squeeze pouches for the kids to take on their trips?

I know right I think of it all the time. I didn’t add them yet because I didn’t know what I was doing but now I know I was just talking to Aaron about it. Thank you for the reminder.

Thanks, that was a great video. Fusilli is pronounced fu as in food, and silli and in silly, so foosilly = fusilli. Wow, I know that things are expensive in Alaska, but they actually compare yo NZ mostly....I sure wish I could get cheese 🧀 that price!!

Have you found that in Alaska you have to refrigerate the peanut butter? Also is the oil seperaoreally bad?
