    I’ve heard psa is more stricted on older cards than new cards. They want to keep that population low. Probably have tons of them.

      People like to imagine the headquarters themselves are doing the grading, instead of realizing some unknown dude with biased intentions (or even orders) is doing it.
      So yeah. Im pretty sure everyone there has some agenda for some specific cards.

    Really cool video, keep it up you really don't see this side of grading cards from other channels

    I appreciate the content because this is something I've considered doing--picking up cheaper CGC slabs, crack and re-grade because PSA is more desirable and often grades more leniently, especially on centering. obviously didn't work with your 8.5s turning into 7s and it's also a little dishonest to price Houndoom at $200 when the last 10 sales before that $200 sale were all in the $60-100 range.
    my only attempt at cross grading was cracking my CGC 9.5 Japanese Green's Exploration (all 9.5 subgrades) and it came back a PSA 9 which bummed me out

    There's a serious problem with PSA's consistency. I've seen 10s that look like 8s and worse and seen 7s that look like perfect 10s. They have no consistency and I'm shocked that they're the "gold standard" and have the highest premium. I'd say people should go with Beckett.

    Psa is a joke, literally no respect anymore. Avoiding psa slabs at all costs! Recently got a graded 9 and the card had MAJOR cosmetic flaws and hairline scratches all over. INSANE.

      @@KroryykDBI made two submissions and I looked into grading for so long before submitting my own. Thought all my cards would get lower than what they got or about right. Didn’t really get more than a handful that were worse than I thought but in general I would say they were quite fair. They are a bit odd with some cards but generally for the bigger cards they were really fair with the grades I got

  • @Dwellic

    I liked CGC blue labels and when they had separate 10s for pristine and perfect. The black label is alright but lacks appeal and the way they present a normal 10 doesn't make it feel like its special. Before the label and grading change, I would have taken a CGC 10 over PSA 10 any day of the week. After they both seem the same to me, with the difference being a large part of the community prefering one paper over the other. If I were to get my cards graded now I'd probably go wit BGS for the really good ones and PSA for the mint condition with good but not great centering

    • @lunisic
      @lunisic 5 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      U set a minimum grade when u submit a crossover... so if u dont want it to get less than a 9 you put that on your paperwork and they wont crack it unless they believe it is infact a 9. Simple.

  • @JustAverageJeff
    @JustAverageJeff 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Wonder if they would have gotten the same grades if you had sent them in the CGC slabs.

    • @officialvipokemon
      @officialvipokemon  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Right? I'll have to do it again but with the Cross-Over Feature. It's definitely a much more safe option. (They do still charge grading fees though so bare that in mind)

    • @officialvipokemon
      @officialvipokemon  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      From what I've seen and heard, it's likely they will just reject many of them and still charge the fees. It's probably better off they go onto it blind.

    • @officialvipokemon
      @officialvipokemon  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, it's probably because a card that is a 9 will not be Gem Mint so if you cross it over and try to get a minimum grade 10 it would be gem mint and they might not do it. Meaning you still eat the reject fees. However, I'll be testing this theory very soon!
