If the grade more strict then I'd prefer cgc 10 over psa 10 if they giving them out like that lol but both are good quality is a bit better and less flimsy with cgc
I've bought a CGC 9 Venomoth Jungle. The slab is a lot more beautiful compared to PSA. The card is almost perfect and in that CGC case it's even better. Only have some minor centering issues. I was thinking about to send it to PSA for a 10 because they are not that harsh on centering but I have a feeling I wouldn't get it and I don't want that beautiful card in a lot uglier slab.
You came out a winner PK. Glad there was a lot of 10 for you there. Goes to show that CGC early grading was too harsh and they burned a lot of the early adopters with 8.5 grades.

Psa I get has the rep but I don’t like how the 10s I have from them look way worse than the 9s and 9.5s from my cgc and bgs. I don’t mind either since I’m not selling them. If I were then I would go with psa or stay at bgs 9.5s and 10s
1 reason I only do cgc is because they grade harsher. I rather have a true grading then inflated grading for "investment". The other is their slabs are by far the best looking

Interesting. I see grades all over the show with every grading company. I think psa holds more weight as its psa. But look at Pokerevs latest. He got 10's with shocking centering. I just don't understand it. I also heard PSA had become harder to get 10's from lately.
Psa grading is very inconsistent. Their old 10s are now 2 to sometimes 3 grades down. Plus they grade fake cards and or damage them smh. CGC grading is very tough but fair.
If I pull a really valuable card that I don’t care about and it’s in exceptional condition I’d rather have PSA grade it. But for collecting I’ll take CGC slabs all day. They are more true and they look so squeaky clean.

I never grade my personal collection with PSA. They are just still alive because they were one of the first and could build up a reputation.

I’m cracking my own cgc slabs and regrading many of them for higher grades. They simply over graded for way too long which is a shame, but they are actually giving vintage 9.5’s and 10’a now. I recently got 2 early ex era EX’s and 1 early EX era reverse in a CGC pristine 10.

PSA is extremely inconsistent. Going forward CGC is the standard IMO, they are the most consistent and realistic. Unfortunately folks prefer PSA because of the easy grades.
Even if you got the same grades they would be worth more in PSA slabs so I think it was a good move. You should make a video on how to safely remove cards from cgc slabs!

I had major issues with my last CGC order. Some cards that I knew were slightly off center scored higher on sub grades that I thought were for sure 10s. I am cracking them as well to send away to PSA.
I say good call! Even at .5 higher the price difference for CGC to psa is crazy. And that’s only getting worse with psa pricing getting lower and lower. Maybe one day CGC will shine, (I think it already will take over BGS) but for now PSA is king and a lot of yours saw upgrades!

Psa is garbage when grading. Ive seen people submit a card and get a 8, crack it and resubmit and get a 5, crack and resubmit and get a 10. They literally just put whatever they want. There is no way that a card should grade a 5 and then it be a 10 especially when multiple people have to agree on the grade.
Great video. These kinds of real world comparisons just confirm my suspicions, you are better off going with PSA for grading Pokemon cards, always, always.
Currently sent 3 moonbreon to CGC and got back a 9, and two very strong 9.5’s (9.5,9.5,10,10) and def thinking to get them cross graded but i don’t want psa to screw me over with non 10’s on em 😂

Well worth it, only a few lower grades. You definitely came out ahead. PSA prices are getting lower and lower and the turnaround times are way better, no reason to look anywhere else.
The more i see about these regrading cards, the more i conclude that there's a lot of inconsistency and a 10/10 doesn't mean really anything, it just states "this is not a played card".
Psa grades easier than most grading companies. Not because you feel as if a CGC 9 deserves to be a PSA 10 and you cross it over and it does get the Psa 10 doesn’t mean cgc grades your card incorrectly. Psa gives our 10s like their is no tomorrow, even if many Psa 10s don’t deserve the grade la they get. I use cgc for my personal collection because I feel proud when my 10s are actually worth being a 10. I use Psa to make money because they command a premium and people will happily gobble them up. It’s just the hustle but at the same time it’s sad when you think about it, most persons don’t really cares about the condition of the card, just the number plastered on it

This says that PSA is a people pleaser. I don’t trust PSA. They hand out 10’s like candy and that’s very sketchy. I’ll take my money to CGC as they’ve been the professional standard grading company for years before PSA and most of these other competitors were even thought of. They are fair and don’t just try to please people on their submissions. Do they make mistakes here and there sure but they’re consistent don’t cheat the market. PSA has single handedly destroyed the Pokémon trading card market by their own hand. Plus their slabs are plain and mediocre at best to me. CGC is superior in my eyes.
So i did the same thing but my dumbass left them all in the Graded slabs. That was a huge mistake. Psa docked me on 19 of my 22 submissions. They were mostly GMA. I was young and dumb when i graded through gma but it was a lot of 10s that went to 8s and a couple 7+ and a 5 not sure how a 5 is even possible from a 10. Oh yeah PSA clearly damaged the card when breaking the slab but i can't prove it, through photographic evidence.
You know I watch all your videos and respectfully disagree with you a lot since I'm a big Metazoo fan but one thing we have common ground on is the "Fuck you CGC". PSA is about to wipe them off the map now that bulk tier has opened back up and turnaround times are pretty good. I'm sure there will be those people who want to continue to complain that PSA just hands out 10's when they really have no clue what their talking about.

Yep. PSA is popular because PSA = $$$$$. CGC slabs cost a LOT of money compared to their marketshare, and lots of people are moving because they want their 10s to actually look like 10s, but it's just a complete gamble with PSA. When PSA are only popular because they are worth more, what happens when CGC keep closing the gap? PSA have nothing else going for them, and I'd be really concerned if I was holding lots of money in PSA slabs. People are slowly not trusting the grade, and when you can't trust the grade, the grade has no value. It's no surprise CGC are hot on their tail so quickly.

Psa will give a 10 to an off center card no problem. That’s annoying.
@@devobarro8534 They have allotments of 60/40 on the front centering and 75/25 back centering if everything else is perfect it will still get a 10.

CGC slabs cost a LOT of money compared to their marketshare, and lots of people are moving because they want their 10s to actually look like 10s, but it's just a complete gamble with PSA. When PSA are only popular because they are worth more, what happens when CGC keep closing the gap? PSA have nothing else going for them, and I'd be really concerned if I was holding lots of money in PSA slabs. People are slowly not trusting the grade, and when you can't trust the grade, the grade has no value. It's no surprise CGC are hot on their tail so quickly.

Aren't you supposed to react to the grades when you film it? Otherwise what's the point of covering it up if you know all the new grades already
