Yeah I've seen cards with actual pen marks on them graded a 10 with PSA. It seems like with PSA it's a coin flip on who you'll get grading your cards on the day. If they've had a bad day, you'll get bad grades. If they've had a good day, you'll get great grades even if the cards don't deserve them. For as much as people hype up PSA, they seem to be more inconsistent than the others.
Also collecting the CGC Pristine 10s! Love the new embossed gold label, and it adds an obtainable level of chase to collecting CGC....unlike the unicorn black labels of BGS.
I’m a CGC collector for many reasons. I love the look of the slab the best. Crystal clear case and the label gives you all of the information about your card with no weird acronyms. They tend to be less expensive to collect because most people are looking for PSA which also means I have less competition when looking for the cards I want to add to my collection. Grading with them is simple, fast and they have good customer service.
CGC is by far my favourite gradeing company. The extra chase for the new embossed gold pristine 10, the crystal clear slabs and the affordable gradeing cost with excellent customer service....its a clear winner for me.
@@parabot2 and PSA 10s are always flawless 😄. I have around 50 psa 10s in my collection, and over half have spots of whitening and/or scatches..one even has a massive dent in the centre of the card. @@boelens218 I would rather have tough grading on my cards so I know for a fact exactly what they are worth and that it was graded fairly and perfectly, everytime. Sub grades matter more than anything, no matter what anyone else tries to say. Beckett has always been more expensive if you get a pristine 10 over a PSA 10 and if you get a black label, it's nearly always 5x a PSA 10. It's always worth the shot with Beckett.
I jist semt in my first cards for grading to bgs in hope of a getting a blacl label doubt i will as it my first time grading so i may not be looking/know of some imperfections but the black label looks sooo nice congrats on yours.
I love CGC, not only are the slabs reasonably priced, I like that my comics and cards go through the same agency. The subgrades are awesome too. I will say that I don't like that they went to black labels.
I want to thank you for helping me decide which grading company to choose. I was seriously considering going with a different company after all these years. I also looked into having all my cards crossed over.
I started grading with CGC because of their slabs. I hate the frosted look of PSA slabs it just looks cheap to me personally. I’ve also never been a fan of the PSA label. I would’ve done Beckett but at the time they didn’t have a good online system to submit cards. CGC also still does 9.5s. Old 9.5s were still considered Gem-Mint. They just decided to change to PSAs scale where a Gem-Mint card equals a 10. You can still get a 9.5 Mint+ card with CGC now.
I agree. Definitely cheap look and feel slabs from PSA. Does not look premium at all. The red rectangular line on the label annoys the crap out of me. They should add blue and outline it with red. They are also more expensive to get the cards graded.
I own a few grades cards from PSA and two from CGC and I still think PSA is the best. I want to try BGS in the future but to me, the simple look of a PSA slab is what does it for me; so iconic and to the point. My CGC cards I bought bc they were dirt cheap and I couldn’t find the specific cards graded in PSA (from Fire Emblem Cipher) I never graded my own cards from anything but PSA and I agree on the turnaround time. Sent in cards in early April, told me they’d be ready in June, and I got them back last week! Incredibly fast turnaround time, even for choosing the value option.
PSA slabs do not look or feel premium. The slab looks like a fogged up Windshield If they could only change the slab. Yet they are more expensive Ill take CGC and Beckett just because of that If they change their Slab i might use them in the future. However whatever cards I think are a 10 or a Pristine 10 is definitely going to Beckett
Always a fun topic to discuss PSA - bc its like the "industry standard" and most people prefer it, great customer service, great app, secure cases, pics of your cards before/after CGC - speedy/cheaper/grade more variety of cards that PSA wont/cases look better without frosted edges and very clear, cases can be cracked out too easily BGS - subgrades/BLs, but historically slow service with bad customer service, bad pop report, only send well centered cards to bgs, the sleeve is nice but dont like the glare All 3 have seemingly gotten a bit stricter over time They all kinda make their own rules at times, but I've always had the best service/experience with PSA
Personally I like grading with BGS cause; 1) They're within driving distance for me, and I feel like if I have cards that I feel are good contenders, I'll send them there. I will mostly sub everything else that I want to grade with PSA.
personal opionions: PSA is best overall if you want best value/ease of selling on market. also cards look clear in slab. Slab isn't the coolest but at least holding it feels almost like the card is in your hand. CGC has best looking slabs and if you get the pristine label its the best. The slabs feel very sturdy but at the same time more closer to psa size slab. the regular gem mt 10 lable is booty. BGS not really a fan of the slab, very blocky but definitely sturdy. Also the clarity of the card and holo pattern is not good compared to the other two, but if you like having your card in a large otterbox type of case than its the best lol. BGS black lable also looks good, not fan of the gold pristine lable. Overall I have a mix of all of them in my collection but PSA is definitely king for the masses
I think most collectors just want consistency, and that is where PSA seems to be lacking compared to CGC and Beckett. I’m still debating which company I want to send cards to and initially was thinking PSA but am leaning more towards CGC now. Either way I feel like the whole grading industry should have greater transparency and regulation.
I only use cgc. PSA cases are thin and flimsy to me. BGS is thick not clear and it feels like they pop control black labels. That's why i chase and like cgc pristine labels
Doesn't matter which company is "the best" when the whole concept of card grading is flawed. Their policies are flawed, grading criteria are flawed, graders are flawed, submitters are flawed, the market is flawed. It all comes down to subjective arbitrariness. (I still like CGC cases the best)
I started grading with CGC during the pandemic when I got into the pokemon tcg because they were very affordable. I liked their slabs and blue label and as Rhyme said in the video, they were strict af. Whatever grade I got felt legit. Ive stuck with CGC for my pokemon cards ever since.
I like BGS because they give you grades for each aspect of their grade but like you pointed out with your PSA review, our own eyes are better at judging the cards than they are..
I started collecting slabs last year, and I like to submit my own cards rather than getting them already graded, so I chose CGC because they're faster and cheaper, their cases are gorgeous and you have the chance of getting a Pristine 10, wich is a premium grade PSA does not offer. I've had PSA cards in hand and I really don't like how their cases look and feel.
As someone hailing from the U.K., I must confess, ACE has won me over. largely due to their labels, if I'm honest. Their slabs also exude a certain solidity that I appreciate. However, it's worth noting that the majority of my graded guards are from PSA mainly because i think they're the gold standard outside of BGS black labels.
When I first started grading, I used PSA and had good results. Once Covid happened, a lot of my PSA submissions with Ludkins were delayed by up to a year or 2, and after that I stopped using PSA for grading. I started submitting with CGC and have had way better results, not only grading wise, but turn around time too. Beckett is great, but submitting to them seems like a mess that I don't feel like dealing with, especially when CGC is still holding it down.
For years, I kept going back and forth between beckett and psa. They both have their pros and cons. Honestly, you can't go wrong either way. All things considered, I like beckett slightly more. I don't own any cgc cards so I can't really speak about them. Although, I dont like their grading scale and not a big fan of the label design. The slabs do appear to be very clear, though.
I'm going with PSA. BGS lost my Japanese Jungle Flareon and Dark Raichu. I emailed back and forth with them for 4-5 months so they would honor their insurance policy. I have screen grabs of them trying to gaslight me into believe I paid less for insurance then my order's documents proved I did, and when they finally agreed to pay, they made me feel like I overstepped my boundary. I paid $199 in insurance each, and they only wanted to offer my $40 total. If you're reading this, BGS is a terrible company, Don't Use Them. CGC's slabs are just not impressive enough IMO.
@@joeybrown567 That's fine, I have a few cards in the old and new CGC slabs, and I'm just not thrilled with them. But hey, its not all about my opinion. I'm glad that they can offer you a service and product you can enjoy. The fact of the matter is, BGS is terrible, but there are other options :)
@@TimISawakehave you seen the ARS Slabs. They are a Japanese grading company, but might be the best slabs out of all the grading companies. I dont own one myself but they look stellar
This is all pretty bang on. But there has to be a way for BGS to sleeve/protect the cards without so much glare, sometimes that sleeve looks like it’s got air pockets, extremely hard to photograph BGS slabs
I've recently received a card w/ 9.0 surface ... I've checked it out under good lighting, and everything looks perfect. I believe whoever did the grading at Beckett got lazy and just eye-balled it after he/she re-sleeved it using sub-par penny sleeve ... there are several small scuffs, dust specs, and even a small warp spot, all from the penny sleeve. It's easy to see as you rotate the slab around different angles that the scuff/debris are not from the card itself but from the penny sleeve. (you can also tap the slab on the edges so the card moves a little bit, to see if the scuff/debris are on the card or sleeve.) This makes me question the standards and how the card was graded at Beckett. I myself work in a clean room at a tissue bank with a good air filtration system that removes all the dust in the air ... so I would expect the card grading service to be under such a environment (and using better penny sleeves) ... or was I wrong? did the card grader took the cards home to "catch up" on the grading? was the grading process outsourced? (Unlike other grading services, they don't even archive an image of the card for you to look at) cert# is 0017493126 Based on this experience, I have very little trust in submitting anything to Beckett.
BGS has been nothing but quick and responsive for me. 4 of 5 times my turn around for a 1-month service was a week or less. PSA was the worst and CGC has just been as advertised.
My father and I collect CGC comics and I gotta say while we prioritize books that look good when you are going back to the 50s and 60s you have to be okay with centering issues and printing issues if you want high graded comics
BGS is the most prestigious and are the hardest to get. That BGS black label will go for 5-20x a PSA 10. PSA is the most mainstream, most collectors only care about PSA, they are inconsistent with grades but overall it's the dominant grading company. CGC is the most misunderstood, mainly the go to for comic and coin grading through other subsidiaries, few look for cards graded through them. Personally I buy PSA 10s for most cards but I will buy the occasional BGS 10 for that special card if it even exists.
yeah, "don't judge a *card* by it's cover" ... except (most of the time) for Becket, the rest of the grading companies (PSA, CGC) have shown lots of inconsistencies in the range 8->10 , probably because when you have volume, quality gets impaired : Quality versus quantity.
My personal favorite is BGS. The black label looks so good and the slab feels so well protected. I also like the BGS and CGC show the subgrade. I like to see why exactly it got the grade it did. But PSA with the pop report and the communication during service is far better
Thankyou. Just Opened a deck of Pokémon i picked up in Yokohama in 96. Had aome really good ones. BGA seems consistent in the grading so um gonna send a few of them over. Thanks
I just recently was lookin ginto buying grqded cards. I did notice in some the items posted they dont look like the grade number. I thought maybe i was crazy because i didnt know anything. So it terms of buying graded cards and not getting them graded myself, pokemon cards in particular, psa does seem likethe one i would prefer. I like to know the most information possible for my anxiety. This video was super helpful thanks rhyme!
Oh also on the topic of BGS centering and Weiss Schwarz cards, I heard there are 2 elements for centering. One is the centering of the actual card art and the second is the centering of the foil/etch layer on top of the card. You can see it on SPs at the top left around the ‘level’ thing and the top right around the hexagon thing. Sometimes that layer isn’t centered and affects the grade. Not sure how true this is though as I’ve only heard reports from other people. It would be great to get confirmation from Beckett one day 😅
Being in the UK, PSA have craxy lead times until you get cards back. Theres a company called ACE here that match labels to the card art which look pretty cool
I'm very new to this, and I thought PSA was the best (cause it's the biggest), but I'm seeing so many videos about PSA grading inconsistencies, some videos show several PSA 10's getting like 6,7,8,9 CGC grades
I still don’t know whether I like PSA or BGS. I like how BGS grades their cards, but now I don’t know whether to trust that I’d get my card back. Especially since I’m in Australia
PSA is ridiculously expensive and I hate that you need to be a member for better rates. They also penalize if you don’t initially estimate the value within a margin.
Is a pop report accurate enough? if you submit a card and it gets graded a 9 then crack it out and resubmit it an it gets a 10 then the pop report would be inaccurate. Also what if you submit to one company then submit it to another because you like the label or slab better? For higher cards like 10's and black labels they would be more consistent but for lower numbers 8,9,9.5 I'd might be less likely to trust that. I do agree that they should have them update it in there system alot quicker like before its sent out to the customer, but I see a flaw in the method.
I'm trying to decide where to Grade my current collection of Victor wembanyama cards and this helps I think psa sells more often but the becketts are like 300 more for the black 10s and 1-200 more for the 10s over psa
I mean, we buy these cards for A LOT of money. We do hope they appreciate over time, not tank. Most people don't spend 300+ on a card and much less a binder full of them if they just want to collect it because it's pretty. I'm 30 now, not 13. I Love Pokemon for the same reasons, plus the money lol. We expect appreciation from PSA 10s. But PSA is garbage. Buy Becketts
I use BGS and CGC. BGS has the best value and the slabs look great. Getting a black label is like hitting lotto lol. Only negative I have with BGS is the clarity is not great. Cgc I love the new slabs and the clarity. The Pristine label looks incredible, they just don’t have that perfect label that BGS has, which is why I still use BGS on my higher end cards or cards that are black label worthy. PSA I never use, don’t like the slab or the red label at all.
I have been looking outside of the big 3 for grading and discovered TAG. Sent in a sample batch and I am pretty happy with their service. Very good good customer service, accurate grades (imo) with a breakdown and scan of the card, quality slabs, and fast turnaround times. Will probably still use CGC and BGS from time to time depending on what it is. But I think personal collection will be going to TAG a majority of the time. Great video!
These days I find myself preferring CGC. Their slabs display the cards the best. Also they are really affordable. If I find a card that I think is in really really good condition, I’ll send it to Beckett.
Im about to start grading and im so on the fence. I want to say PSA but the look of cgc is so nice and id rather have a cgc GM 10 than a psa 9 lol. also like the accuracy of BGS dont have to worry about getting screwed on grade. its so tough
@@Rhymechanbut that's psa all over. First psa I ever bought pikachu van Gogh psa10 it's damaged in top right corner and centering is slightly off and surface isn't 10 the card itself is a easy 9 but psa say 10 so it's a 10 🙄
Idk what it is but PSA slabs look so ugly. I think it's time to get rid of that red border and bring some minimalism to the labels. Black, gold, silver colors make things feel more premium which is why BCG looks visually appealing
I like CGC the best because honestly, I just think they have the best-looking slabs. (The newer slabs I prefer over the older ones, but I would have liked the sub grades) I also think they have been more fair with my grading VS PSA (I have never used Beckett)
There is definitley mis graded black labels. One of the most famous is the mewtwo hr competition card from years back. One got a black label but in the e scan it literally showed two bold ass print lines. Have seen on other cards as well. Becket community defends the situation by claiming he “obviously doesn’t work there” anymore. It’s incredibly difficult for them to admit their daddy backet can, does and will make mistakes
My preference is kind of based on the type of card. Anime/waifu cards look the best on BGS cases and labels for display purposes even though the clarity isn’t the best. Pokemon and Yugioh for value purposes I would still go with PSA. CGC I don’t really use, but hands down the CGC slab is the best, feels the best in hand and is the clearest 👌
What a showcase in the background 🤩 I disagree on the CGC 10. It looks bad but in the past, one 9.5 subgrade made it a 9.5. Now it gets a 10 and they have their new "pristine" 10 grade. Their slabs are beautiful
The right video at the right time!! I'm looking to grade some One Piece cards. I saw that you sent your Manga Luffy at BGS. I was also thinking BGS for mine too. The slabs of BGS are looking more elegant to my eyes! More premium!!
9’s are still A’s IMO. I’m starting to like the new CGC slabs cuz I think the cards pop more and the slab itself is more clearer than others. But I’ve been buying more psa slabs. Just a habit and more inventory
BGS for me just because the gold and black labels are clean… PSA banners looks like it was printed off from the discount section of a dollar store and stuck on by a part time high school kid. CGC - I didn’t know they were a thing till about a year ago.
for me, PSA is making a simple and very good slab design when CGC and BGS design inst really blend with the card for the looks PSA is winning, BGS and CGC are maybe ahead when it comes to grading consistency but the slab design and upper slab part (idk whats it called) just not blend with the card like PSA design do
I won’t knock ppl for WHY they collect. End of the day, they’re still collecting. I don’t like just hearing numbers numbers and numbers rather than the cards, but they’re still collecting end of the day
I agree to that, its just rough rn in one piece with the resellers killing the marketand laughing at who cant afford the resale value, also huge fan i cannot believe you replied to me lol@@Rhymechan
BGS slabs I think look great for non pokemon cards. It feels like they're gatekeeping black labels lately though. you're right though that their pop report is literally useless or actively hindering. PSA I do think look the best for pokemon though for some reason. the noise of the card hitting the plastic and moving around is horrible though. not having sub grades to see what they think is wrong is confusing sometimes when I don't see any damage. CGC I don't touch at all.
I prefered CGC before, because overall I like their slabs a lot more - PSA got stop sign vibes IMO😅But because of the liquidity and recognition of PSA slabs, I have cracked several of my high end CGC graded cards to get them regraded at PSA. In the danish Pokémon market, the CGC slabs moves too slowly sadly, and they are also very hard to do trades with. I am also not very fond of the .5 grades that CGC likes to give out.
A lot of Cards are POP controlled. They know what cards they don't want to black label. Bgs needs to drop the 9.5 and round to 10. That would massively increase their popularity. PSA is a group of wizards. You catch a guy on a good day and you'll get all 10's. The next day he fives 9's. PSA is amazing but very very inconsistent.
100% on BGS. At first, people were hating hard on black labels but now I think they realize black labels are boss. Once BGS improve their pop reports they will slowly creep up the ladder. Ive considered sending in cards to psa but BGS blacks are way too attractive not to mention the value it gives the card is insane compared to a psa 10 of the same card.
I just graded with PSA, 25 cards. And man, the inconsistency is wild. But the app, their turn around times, their service. Really is the best!!! But crazy inconsistent lol.
My personal view on the slabs (ignoring services) ARS > BGS > PSA never had an CGC in hand so cant tell. I think PSA has the worst slabs out there they sure are clean but I had so many cards damaged in them that I can't trust it anymore. And my reason to get graded cards is to keep the card safe. Then again it is just my take on it and my reasons and experience may differ with yours.
I mostly use PSA. They’re best for selling and general collecting but they take forever BUT for high end cards use BGS. They are the top of the line in terms of actual grading and 90% of the time end up with a higher value. CGC sucks, I prefer SGC I know it’s a new one, but their slabs are just as good if not better than Beckett. I use them for just general run of the line cards though.
What is my Winged Kuriboh LV10 1st ed worth and my original 1st Edition Winged Kuriboh worth?? It seems like prices for resale for yugioh cards are so all over the place for someone like me who just found my old cards from when i was a kid i have no clue how this shit works. Ebay says 1000 then some other places say 25 cents so whats the deal here lol
Honestly, I just grade what I can. Personally I grade with PSA but PSA’s trash with their graders at time. I’ve seen cards that are 10’s when they should be lesser grade and lesser grades get 10’s. Beckett haven’t graded with them unless I know 100% it’s pristine but heard they’re more accurate and I like their system/tags better plus they do half grades but much harsher. CGC more so for non stuff in but comics. Also PSA’s return time tends be to based on how much $$$$ you’re willing to pay. Even if it’s worth over $80 for a single card and say it’ll be 1month return. I didn’t get mine back till 3 months after which is like normal return for $25 payments.
you can't trust PSA at all, I have cards with giant chunks out of them that was 10s, they rejected a 2022 card because it was "undersized" but they wouldn't tell me which direction and how they measured it. Beckett is most reliable because of subgrades. Never used CGC, them getting rid of subgrades was a huge mistake
I'd like to grade SOMETHING whether it be games or cards..... btw if you want to grade games avoid wata..... they're kinda known for artificially inflating prices, they're actually the reason some retro stuff shot up in price. That aside I've got 2 with ace grading and one with PSA but I did buy them from a local store (and one from ebay) what I want to know is what the process is like for sending cards off, fees etc there's a couple of cards I want to get graded but I legit am worried about things like hidden fees, safely sending them off and how to go about the process.
@@MrBoxreviews many damage issues, bad company decisions, allegedly shilling good grades to high profile individuals, changing the grading scale for no reason, not listening to feedback, etc. A lot of TH-cam videos about it. Not saying the other two grading companies haven't done that, either, but CGC has been infamous for doing it more 👍

Do you send quite a few slabs back to seller if not happy about the card even though a third party said it a 10? Could cause arguments and could be swapped too. And only buy if graded cards have pictures of back too which a lot of people don’t seem to bother with.
I submitted a few cards to cgc during the whole pokemon craze a couple years ago when psa was slow and i regret it ngl. Cgc to me feels the last option between psa and beckett. I do not like the labels of the cgc slabs. Gotten back into wanting to grade cards and im willing to try psa for the first time
BGS is really bad with their registry. You can look up the numbers of the cards that are displayed on their website and it will come up with 'no records'. It's a shame too, because I like BGS more on everything else.
The only thing that scares me is how long it takes sometimes for psa to confirm they received your cards. The package says it was delivered at psa on the 2nd of this month & now it’s the 20th & I still haven’t gotten the update confirming they have it 😬 it’s just scary when you’ve sent off all your grails & you don’t know where they are. BGS is my personal favorite too. Recently graded my very first black label!
I like beckett too. They seem to be really strict with grading though
Nice
@@alexanderson9540 good luck!
I ended up staying with beckett
CGC for personal collection and cards I want to view regularly. BGS for selling anything I think can get a black label. PSA for selling anything else.
Felt the same but TAG slabs are even better to look at. Crystal clear and the etched label is sick.
I’ve only ever heard of PSA before I started watching this channel
The slab looks like a fogged up Windshield
If they could only change the slab.
Yet they are more expensive
Ill take CGC and Beckett just because of that
If they change their Slab i might use them in the future. However whatever cards I think are a 10 or a Pristine 10 is definitely going to Beckett
Always a fun topic to discuss
PSA - bc its like the "industry standard" and most people prefer it, great customer service, great app, secure cases, pics of your cards before/after
CGC - speedy/cheaper/grade more variety of cards that PSA wont/cases look better without frosted edges and very clear, cases can be cracked out too easily
BGS - subgrades/BLs, but historically slow service with bad customer service, bad pop report, only send well centered cards to bgs, the sleeve is nice but dont like the glare
All 3 have seemingly gotten a bit stricter over time
They all kinda make their own rules at times, but I've always had the best service/experience with PSA
Personally I like grading with BGS cause; 1) They're within driving distance for me, and I feel like if I have cards that I feel are good contenders, I'll send them there. I will mostly sub everything else that I want to grade with PSA.
You just made me even more indecisive
personal opionions:
PSA is best overall if you want best value/ease of selling on market. also cards look clear in slab.
I agree.
I agree. Having the subgrades is really cool
BGS. That Black Label outshines ‘em all.
CGC because that’s where i grade my comics/video games
I believe it BGS customer service is trash. But to disagree with cgc slabs. They are amazing!
@@joeybrown567 I just lookwed into them, and THAT is the kind of authentication, I could get behind! I agree, I would love to give them a shot!
Disagree with you on the CGC slabs
PSA slabs look like fogged up windshields. Dont look nor feel premium and never updated their slabs. Its outdated.
PSA slabs feel so flimsy and cheap compared to CGC slabs which feels premium.
Just got a 9.5 card back from CGC. so they are still gradeing half grades.
Truth, I guess 9.5 is probably a PSA 9 or Even a 10
For me it’s psa. I started by using Beckett but after a while I started to really enjoy the aesthetics of psa slabs.
The amount of contradictory information in this video is unreal
Glad you touched on the PSA loose cards issue... Makes me wanna crack my tens even though overall it's safer in the case
I agree, the only negative with beckett is the clarity due to the inner sleeve. Although, it provides more protection
@@boelens218agreed, that is the only negative with beckett is clarity. Which is why I love cgc
Very nice looking slabs
These days I find myself preferring CGC. Their slabs display the cards the best. Also they are really affordable. If I find a card that I think is in really really good condition, I’ll send it to Beckett.
Im about to start grading and im so on the fence. I want to say PSA but the look of cgc is so nice and id rather have a cgc GM 10 than a psa 9 lol. also like the accuracy of BGS dont have to worry about getting screwed on grade. its so tough
Yeah but is it really a 10 if the card has defects? It’s literally a lie
@@Rhymechan sorry meant to say I'd rather have a cgc gem mint 10 than a psa 9. has cgc been more accurate than psa lately?
@@Rhymechanbut that's psa all over. First psa I ever bought pikachu van Gogh psa10 it's damaged in top right corner and centering is slightly off and surface isn't 10 the card itself is a easy 9 but psa say 10 so it's a 10 🙄
I just wish PSA updates their label to look more modern and have more room for texts. CGC imo has the best modern looking case and label.
PSA for Pokemon and BGS for MTG
Gold standards for both IMO
I wish there would be a grading Service Like ARS in Europe. Every Card that is ars Grades Looks Like a trophy
I do prefer BGS cause of there accuracy, but it’s like 50/50 with there service. Trying to reach out to them is a nightmare I will dock them for that.
Cgc are not use to giving 10. Its like asking a chicken to fly more than a minute. Just look at their comic grading, extremely hard to get a 10😆
Iv seen alot of PSA cards get like a 4 and when re submitted come back as a 10 so I'm not even considering them at this point
What a showcase in the background 🤩 I disagree on the CGC 10. It looks bad but in the past, one 9.5 subgrade made it a 9.5. Now it gets a 10 and they have their new "pristine" 10 grade. Their slabs are beautiful
That’s not true. Their “10s” used to be 10/10/10/9.5
I agree, the new pristine label is beautiful! 🤩 and adds whole new chase to collecting.
That’s the one thing that bothers me about Beckett! It’s always a 9.5 centering, and without their black label I feel like Beckett would go under
The right video at the right time!! I'm looking to grade some One Piece cards. I saw that you sent your Manga Luffy at BGS. I was also thinking BGS for mine too. The slabs of BGS are looking more elegant to my eyes! More premium!!
PSA got to be the biggest because when they first started they put a 10 on everything because that’s what people wanted
9’s are still A’s IMO. I’m starting to like the new CGC slabs cuz I think the cards pop more and the slab itself is more clearer than others. But I’ve been buying more psa slabs. Just a habit and more inventory
BGS for me just because the gold and black labels are clean…
PSA banners looks like it was printed off from the discount section of a dollar store and stuck on by a part time high school kid.
CGC - I didn’t know they were a thing till about a year ago.
for me, PSA is making a simple and very good slab design when CGC and BGS design inst really blend with the card
for the looks PSA is winning, BGS and CGC are maybe ahead when it comes to grading consistency but the slab design and upper slab part (idk whats it called) just not blend with the card like PSA design do
That's why tcg's right now bother me because most people see $$ instead of a game or beautiful art
Yeah it’s sad. The one piece card game has some of the best art ever and it’s so hard to get any because everyone just wants to scalp and sell it.
BGS definitely pop controls on the black labels, have to get lucky or know someone to get a BL sometimes
That’s the issue…people just want consistency!
I love your trading card videos
That aside I've got 2 with ace grading and one with PSA but I did buy them from a local store (and one from ebay)
what I want to know is what the process is like for sending cards off, fees etc there's a couple of cards I want to get graded but I legit am worried about things like hidden fees, safely sending them off and how to go about the process.
Buying by the grade is how the market goes regardless of feelings sadly lol
i wish they graded boxes like retro pack
CGC lost its credibility tbh. People's still gonna use it obviously, but damn 💀
Wait…what happened lmao. I use CGC and I have no clue 😬
@@MrBoxreviews many damage issues, bad company decisions, allegedly shilling good grades to high profile individuals, changing the grading scale for no reason, not listening to feedback, etc. A lot of TH-cam videos about it. Not saying the other two grading companies haven't done that, either, but CGC has been infamous for doing it more 👍
@@RocSandy yikessss, sucks because I think their slabs are the best. Guess I’ll go back to Beckett lol

Do you send quite a few slabs back to seller if not happy about the card even though a third party said it a 10? Could cause arguments and could be swapped too. And only buy if graded cards have pictures of back too which a lot of people don’t seem to bother with.
I like Beckett because they have sub-grades that actually justify their score
Coming from Pokémon I definitely have favoritism for PSA. For Pokémon I always go for PSA. But I really like BGS for Yugioh and dragonball
I submitted a few cards to cgc during the whole pokemon craze a couple years ago when psa was slow and i regret it ngl. Cgc to me feels the last option between psa and beckett. I do not like the labels of the cgc slabs. Gotten back into wanting to grade cards and im willing to try psa for the first time
You regret it just because you don’t like the look of the labels?
BGS is really bad with their registry. You can look up the numbers of the cards that are displayed on their website and it will come up with 'no records'. It's a shame too, because I like BGS more on everything else.
Once you go below a BGS 9.5 there grading scale goes out the window.
How so? In my opinion beckett has the best and most realistic grading scale
You can try the ARS slabs are nice too if you looking for an art display that is sturdy like Bgs and clear like the new cgc
I want to send my dragon ball super cards for grading but not knowing if they’re good makes me not send them
The only thing that scares me is how long it takes sometimes for psa to confirm they received your cards. The package says it was delivered at psa on the 2nd of this month & now it’s the 20th & I still haven’t gotten the update confirming they have it 😬 it’s just scary when you’ve sent off all your grails & you don’t know where they are. I wish the had a team of a bunch of ppl right at receiving & their only job is to scan in all the packages that arrive each day. Idc how long it takes to grade, just confirm that you have them😂
What service did you choose? I don’t think I ever heard them take that long to confirm. The app should show it’s there at least
@@Rhymechan I did the cheapest one. I’m in Canada so the price is $24.99. So for you I think it’s the $19.99 service level. & righttt!! It’s been so long

@@Rhymechan turned out that DHL put one of those stupid plastic bags overtop of my box so the barcode that was on the box originally was no longer on the outside… so my package went into a bin with all the other people who didn’t read the instructions and didn’t attach the barcode to the outside 🤣 but once I called they ripped that bag and noticed what happened so they put my order into researching right away
I don't collect yet but if I did and wanted to grade I'd go fir bgs because there's something about potentially getting a black label
