I did! I got my first black label. Was super excited about it. I actually just sent a handful of more cards this last week chasing a few more black labels!
I like the $14.95 option with a $3 upcharge if it gets a 10 to add subgrades. I really like that. I also think they should absolutely keep their grading scale exactly the way it is and shouldn’t change a thing about the label or anything. They’re looking pretty good right now. Hopefully they can keep it this way
Honestly I'm just so over grading/graded cards. It's costly, they always get it wrong and I have graded cards with hair and dirt inside. It's clearly not done with skilled people or in a clean environment
5:39 I cant seem to find the bottom half of the submission page when I go on their website. I have 2 sports cards autographed and i want the card itself graded with the autographs also graded but I can see where it says Base,Standard,Express,Priority but underneath on their website there is no option for "Extras with Autograph cards +$5" I dont want to submit the card unless I know the autograph will get graded as well. Can you help point me in the right direction?
These grading companies should come out with a real polarized glass upgrade. Call it the crystal series or something. It lasts forever and doesn't scratch protects from UV and vacuum sealed. Bro that would go hard with collectors that want to display certain cards.
Do you know how many updates they send you these days? PSA has a ton of updates showing you exactly what part of the process your cards are in. I think that's a good feature as a company. Last time I sent to Beckett I got a total of two emails. One email was "received" the next was "shipped".
Hey Luke or anyone. When you submit at the lowest tier of $15 do you get upcharged ONLY if you get BGS Black Label or do you also get upcharged for a BGS Pristine 10?
Submitted 1 card base with subs and total cost was $58. Submitted one card to psa value plus and total was $59. Both were submitted 8/22/24. Received psa Sept 9th. Bgs still waiting to be graded as of Oct 3. Ill take psa all day. Bulk submissions make more sense as it drastically reduces shipping and cost per card. BgS might be cheaper grading cost, but they charge more for slab, shipping, and insurance.
I’d like more info the their graded card review. Nobody is talking about it and from the looks of it you can just send your BGS slabs in and they can possibly bump them in grade.
You should’ve put in the full pricing structure like the fact that PSA is hundreds of dollars to get them back in a week or less and then they charge you on top of that People can’t even send in a card to PSA that’s over $1500 without being charged 500+ dollars. Whereas I can send in a card to Beckett that has the potential being 10 20 30+ thousand dollars and have it back in less than three days for less than $500. PSA says we’re gonna charge you 500+ dollars to get your card back inside of a week if it’s $2000 or more.
I’ve a Jordan rookie card, I bought in the 80s during my college days! My question is how do I know it’s my card that’s coming back not a cheaper replaced one? Thx!
In your opinion, what's the difference between Beckett and PSA in regards to how they typically grade? I just sent in 44 pokemon cards to PSA. Imo, I feel like I have better odds of getting more 10's on the cards than if I sent to Beckett. Simply bc I've heard Beckett are much stricter. Anyway, I have 25 or so special alt One Piece Cards. As we know, One Piece cards are all centered, cut, and are better quality than most pokemon cards. I'm thinking I can get more pristine 10's with even a good chance to get a few black labels. So, if I sent to PSA, I'm confident 90% + will be 10's. Which is why I'm thinking of gambling with Beckett to see if I can score at least one or more Black Labels. Thoughts?
Yeah Beckett generally grades harder, but each company grades certain things like Centering, Edgewear, etc differently. Because of the quality of OP cards, I think it’s worth it to go for Beckett. Even BGS10s (not Black Labels) go for more than PSA10s. But then again, sometime Beckett screws you for no reason like I got in several of these cards. If you want to be safe, go with PSA.
Having a hard time with these grading companies. Submitted a few cards and they came back all 9.5 sub grades with each one sub grade of a 9.0. Just the 9.0 was moved around the different categories. No 10s, or 8s, just 3 9.5s and a single 9. Also cards were all from different sets of pokemon, weiss, one piece.
Enjoyed the video! Personally, I like PSA for the red/white pokeball aesthetic on the labels. Plus they run monthly specials that can easily make up for the annual fee and my last sub came back in less than a month!
PSA is such a scam for valuable vintage cards. You have to pay about 10% of what the card is valued at After Grading. That's nuts. It's like they claim to be a co-owner of your card after grading and you have to buy their share it to get it back. The only way i'd use PSA is on a low value card that i thought would grow over time.
The upcharges from psa are the most bs thing. They’re still generally going to spend the same amount of time on each card and determining something in the lower grades would most likely actually take longer than a 10.
The tiers are lame for these companies. They must need it to be easy. $15 for one card takes 45 days to return. $25 for one card takes 30 days to return. $35 for one card and takes 10-15 days to return. The rest of that stuff was bc and annoying, becket was the best in my opinion. But PsA is you pay for subscription .
I don’t get how the same card board can be better than each other. If it’s not ripped or damaged it’s the same shit lol they’re just taking advantage of trying to make an easy buck with surrounding your cardboard with plastic and putting a number on it.
The truth is, most Pokemon cards are not that rare, even vintage cards, so for some people they want their card to be in the best-of-the-best condition because it adds a layer of rarity. Grading provides a standard for that “condition rarity” and many people enjoy the chase of getting those rarer cards in a high grade. It’s not for everyone, but I’ve come to enjoy it.
idk maybe if you did 30 seconds of research youd findout why a psa 10 mickey mantle rookie sells for millions and a psa 1 sells for a few thousand. its a “hobby” and people like to collect mint cards because that makes it rare considering theyll never be made again. its like a 1970 american muscle car with 50 original miles vs same car with 200k miles. people like the rarity of being practically brand new but yet very old, vintage, collectable. its not very hard to grasp, just turn your brain on for about 15 seconds.
If you want immediate profit, PSA. You'll interest a wider audience and for the moment they're still highly respected. Longer term investment I'd go with BGS. PSAs standards are starting to slip and I've seen more and more people jump on the hate train recently. Plus I personally like the aesthetic of BGS more. PSA labels are so bland lolIf you want to sell, then PSA for sure. Will expand your buyer pool. People in Japan and Asia in general only really care about PSA.
Yeah i'll never grade again with PSA at this point. They are basically extorting collectors. I graded with CGC and they just seem like they are falling behind, slipped turn times by 10 additional days just today which is a shame as grading was consistent and I do like their slabs. Interested in BGS with these changes, thank you very much for overviewing. May do TCG with BGS and sports with SGC.
Who holds the company accountable and make sure they don’t grade out our cards to 9 and they don’t grade 10 for them and friends so the market will stay nice a green and we are stuck with not knowing . I would like to have them work like the lottery has to and have it run the way it’s going to not screw is like the ones who take our taxes you know .
@@LegendofLuke lately PSA has been faster then expected but my only experience with Beckett has been weird. They’ve been sitting on my graded cards for a week

loving the return videos, and im happy about the beckett changes!
💯💯
For rehold/recase, did you sent the graded slab to them? Did they change the label to a new one? I’m planing to rehold but got no info on the internet
Yeah I sent the slab. They did put it in a new case, but it looks to me like they reused the same label.

Hey Luke or anyone. When you submit at the lowest tier of $15 do you get upcharged ONLY if you get BGS Black Label or do you also get upcharged for a BGS Pristine 10?
I think it might be for both. They only upcharge to include the subgrades, and I don’t believe they have Pristine 10s without subgrades.
