Great video my friend. I can clearly see that your intentions are pure, and that you do what you do in your videos to help people to perhaps fix the many issues themselves thus saving them money. I just recently completed the restoration of an old rascal 388s by learning from you. You are a legend. I also thank the Lord for people like you sir. So from our home to yours much love and light. Keep up the great work. Paul 🙏❤️😇👍

Great videos. My friend has a scooter however If you want to go in reverse you have to go forward an inch or so first. If you forget you need to turn off the key for a second. Anyone any thoughts please?

Could be a dirty motor clean the commutator. Check the brush units. If that does not help then it could be the throttle pot

@@driftwoodadventure your motor will have brushes some of them are internally installed usually on small products. The larger power chairs may be magnetic drive. Ps only a few have that. You brake will get warm but should not be that hot That you can burn yourself or it starts to smell

My mom has a Golden Buzzaround EX Extreme. The other day it was working fine and was loaded on car before we went to doctors office. When I attempted to unload at Dr’s office, dreaded 5 beep code. Had to use a manual wheelchair instead.
Got it home. Pulled it apart. No electric brake continuity. Checked continuity of snap switch mounted to brake, no continuity. Removed snap switch from circuit, continuity again! Brake snap switch was bad. So I temporarily removed snap switch until I get a new one. Scooter back together. Goes forward fine. But won’t reverse much with speed pot on lowest setting as usual. With pot on highest setting, it reverses.
Could I have mounted the motor to the transaxle wrong, or mounted the brake back in the motor incorrectly? Snap switch was mounted to brake with two screws. Didn’t replace them them when re-assembling. Could that be the issue? PLEASE HELP! Mom can’t afford new scooter, especially around Christmas. Thanks.

wondering why u didnt clean up the original motor and fit new brushes, did it need a new motor?

It’s always up to the individual we let customers know the facts ,,, this one opted for a new motor rather than a Repair.

    Fault 9 = Miscellaneous
    internal fault
    Stops driving.
    Any help please.

Ok then the fault code states controller fault but why is it giving that fault code. one of 2 reasons 1. faulty or 2 may be a build up of heat .. ok then take seat and rear cover off check all the wires going to motor, brake, fuse and fuse holder,, check voltage of the batteries charge again. run it with no load ( so stick a brick under the scooter to lift the rear wheels of the ground) while its running check all wires and components for heat or slack connections. also check to see if the brake is ok..... hope this helps.

Hi I hope you can help me? I purchased a scooter...I couldn't afford much so bought this one. Its a sunrise sterling major 4 2006....I watched all your videos plus more because the brakes had seized including the freewheel brake was siezed. So I took the brake unit off so I can order another one. My q is: is there newer scooter I can use for parts if I can't get, the original brake unit? Also how do I know if the engine is okay? Can I try and run it without the brake unit attached? Any help would be appreciated? King regards Julie x
