One thing you did here with the pen, that you didn't do with the other pens in your previous reviews, (SIGNING!)
Actually most of the people in our region using the fountain pen for signing and most of the pens fail in that part.
So I wish you add the SIGNING test to your reviews.

I love the look of YoL Claret. I'd love a bottle if I can find it somewhere.. I think that everyone should have a pink ink in their collection. Rose Cyclamen is one of my favourites.
My 3776 has been shipping for a month and a half from Japan... I almost have got enough put away to get another pen and have it arrive along with it.

Thank you, Stephen, for another excellent overview. The rose gold accents, whilst making this pen stand out from the (generic) silvered finishes on demonstrator pens, is reasonable, but I would concur, makes the pen very feminine in appearance. I cannot say I'd be inclined to purchase same, altho' - as with all the 3776's, they handle very well - but I too, have an issue with the pen's dimensions - unless posted, it's not ideal for those of us with large hands. The black 3776 I do own does not have sharp section threads, but perhaps that is more to do with the type of resin employed in its construction. I do like the raised ridges (for want of a better description) on the cap & barrel; the price is a little on the steep side - & that has to be a contributing factor to the aforementioned disinclination to buy.

Are threads on oshino, lavende, lilas and chartres blue sharp as well? I remember he said that they are not sharp on the bourgogne edition.
Convertors are available in a gold colour , its not rose gold but it would at least match betterThanks for the review

Is it normal for these 3776 pens to have ink leaked all over the base of the nib? I really dont like that. Should I NOT pick the transparent one?

I just bought this pen in the Lavender colour. I am very disappointed with it though. I think it looks and feels cheap and as you mentioned the converter does not match the rose gold trims. I already own a Platinum 3776 Bourgogne which looks and feels beautiful so I expected more from this pen.
That is the color I got. No converter in the box was a pain. But what I actually hate is the sharp feel to the ridges of the body. And as he talked about, the ridges above the nib are sharp too.
I always thought the idea of a music nib was to have a huge flex, or at least a big variation in line width.
In majority music nibs are three tines italics. Franklin-Christoph music nib is a good example, but this one is VERY broad (1,9 mm) and it is made for calligraphy stuff, not realy for music notes. Waterman vintage music nibs have a huge flex but today it is not really common.
Thanks, i guess it's so broad it simulates the effect of a wide flex. I have a three tine music nib, but unfortunately not a vintage Waterman.

A very lukewarm review of a pen that I for my part rate very highly! I have one just like this (3776 Nice with B nib and chrome-colored convertor) and it has become one of my favorite everyday writers. I agree that the lack of a matching convertor is disappointing, but on my pen the threads are not especially sharp: I hardly notice if I am holding it there or on the grip section. Also, the grooves running along the barrel give it a distinctive and, to me, pleasant feel.
Hi Stephen. I have two 3776s, Chartres Blue and Burgundy. Both came with gold trimmed converters. Just so you know they are available. Cheers.
Let's hope they'll launch a rose gold converter some day!

I just got one and I think it's horrible!! All the ridges are sharp and have a very cheap plastic feeling. I expected it to come with the converter, as I read the description. And it did not. Overall the nib may be nice but I will not recommend it!
