I don’t I’m afraid. I bought mine as a kit from retroford which consisted of some steel plate and metal tube which I cut to size and welded. To get to this stage I first mounted the engine to gearbox and moved engine till I was happy with position. They do make some ready made ones for escorts though.
Since you're using carbies, will the engine still use a PCM and have full VVT functionality? Your car should really scoot when you get the Duratec up and running.
I believe so, I’m still getting my head around all the wiring but one of the ecu box’s has VVT pro controller wrote on so I’m hoping this will maintain the VVT. I will go into more detail in the next episode and hopefully find out if it all works!!
I could move it forward but then the gearstick would be further away from the driver and I’d have to cut a new hole for it also. I think the mounts must be in a different position in original 5speed spec capris
I think the original Essex V6 engines used to give about 150 horses so it should drive ok 👍
nice work bud
Cheers, glad to be finally getting some work done on it. Hope to get it finished before I head back to Thailand
nice one pal got the same motor in our 100e build
I’ve just watched some of your videos, very nice car!!!
@@missioncapri thanks pal love capri,s great cars subbed
hello, great video. Do you have the plans and dimensions of the zetec engine mounts? I'm also looking to make some for mine.
Thanks

Would there be benefit of bringing the engine forward so the gearbox mounts line up?
I miss my Capri. Imperial blue 24v Cossie - featured in practical performance car mag back in 2006.

I nearly went with the cosworth 24v engine!! It was a difficult decision. Sounds like I would have loved your car!
