Danst bike carbs and test engine overview

A quick video covering our carb test bed engine and the reasons behind having it. ALL of our carbs are run up on our test unit to ensure they can be fitted and run up without issue - if for any reason you are struggling to get your danST supplied carbs to run correctly please get in touch and we can advise. Most problems are a simple fix.
Note: this does not mean the carbs are fully tuned and setup for your application - a rolling road session is essential to get the best from your kit!

Hi I have Honda D16a7 I am on the 150 main jet needle has been raised I have .50 pilot jet it still hesitated a bit can I raise the needle a little more or must I put bigger mains in its 1600cc engine

I have a orion clx mk3 whit a carb and cvh engine looking at this vid makes me want to swap in a zetec silver or blacktop and do bike carbs on it

HEY DAN i had a question about your 22r intake kit, is it specifically designed for pre 84 heads or would it be compatible with 85+ heads?

We were not aware of a difference in heads? What are your concerns, is it fitment related?

@@DanstengineeringCoUk yes! The pre 84 blocks had a different head and block compared to the 85+. The 85+ were called "laser" blocks, they had slightly different intake and exhaust ports. Usually if its an FI engine it came with the laser block, exceot for carbed 85+ blocks

We rarely change pilot jets, so standard bike OEM.

Hi Dan will these fit for a 2014 Ford Focus it has a 2.0 duratec. But I’m also in the process of building a duratec from a 2012 Mazda 3 will this fit that as well

Great . Sir I have a question.
Give me a clear answer. Will i get extra horse power if I install motorbike carburetors on a car.
My car has 3 cylinder engine. 800 cc Engine. What do you recommend me which motorbike's carburetors fit ?

Hi, it is hard to estimate as all engines differ, but a guesstimate would be 10%

Hii ive got a mk1 golf with the exact same carbs on kawasaki 1100 but it dose not work it revs up fine but when i drive and put my foot down it splatters and when it idles the carbs give little pops and splatters any help please

That sounds like an air leak or lack of fuel.
