Don’t knock yourself you’re doing fine, and you’re right the more you do the more confident you’ll get, it’s coming along nicely.

Doing a good job mate. Welding is a little untidy but so what ? As long as it’s solid
The neatest welder in the world still grinds his welds back on car bodywork. Just uses less flap discs ;)
    Keep the updates coming :)

Cheers Lee!! You’ve just reminded me that I need to buy some more flap discs as I’ve run out 😂

I see you have wet footwells. Well the best thing you can do with Capri's is remove the windscreen and weld up the screen drain holes, these are nothing but trouble, water goes down these and then straight into the car. When you put the windscreen back, seal the rubber with thick cavity wax. The rubber will distort at first, this is caused by solvents in the wax, but the rubber will straighten it's self out in a couple of day's. Then you will have dry footwells.

Thanks for the advice!! I’m going to probably have to remove the windscreen to paint so I’ll check it out then. Hopefully the repairs I’ve done on the drivers side should help but your right it’s probably coming in from a few places.

@@missioncapriif you're refitting the screen, see what condition the rubber seal is in when you remove it. Aftermarket Ford window seals are, quite frankly pants compared to the originals. I fitted all new seals and glass to my mk1 Escort from one of the big names in repro seals/trim, and the front window seal is absolute rubbish and needed sealant piping in under the edge of it. The originals, if undamaged, are the best, imo.

Cheers for the heads up!! It looks in reasonable condition so will try and save it!!
