    Just installed my JB4 recently on my VN, the rainbow wire on the low connection and the brown on the manifold connection definitely seems correct. The boost profile is quite a lot more aggressive over stock.
    The turbo ramps into full boost significantly more aggressively, is the biggest difference you’ll see on maps 1/2 on a stock car and 93/93 elevation equivalent.

      It definitely does get into boost better! I ran mostly in map3 and the e30 map. Also tried map 5 with e30. It ran surprisingly well.

    Sounds glorious I have the 2020 VT. Was thinking of going Meth injection. TBD

    I usually don't care if someone has this installed, and comes to dealer for service. I do however hate it when what they are using is causing issues and the owner is in denial about it🙃 😂😂

    Spark plug needed to run this tuner Part #: NGK 97312.

  • @anthonylove6639

    Should have just gotten a ECU tune from SXTH Element or LAP3. Piggy backs are good but not as fast as a ECU tuned by those tuners. Btw just buy cooler heat ranged NGK iridium plugs. Because, it’s basically the same as the HKS plugs.

      Piggy back is way better for warranty preservation though. Chip tunes aren’t fast enough compared to piggy back to justify the headache of core fees, downtime, etc. I’d say for the majority of people, JB4 or an equivalent is the better option all around. Simple, fast, warranty and affordable.

    9:38 The boost gauge never got over 11 psi. What's up with that?

    Anyone else hear that the fuel wire tap isn't required if your doing the Bluetooth connection?

    • @ChanMan.
      @ChanMan.  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve never heard that so I actually don’t know. I could be wrong. The fuel wire tap burger sells is cheap though so I’d recommend using it.

    So if I have a cold air intake and Downpjpe and stuff does this have tunes for that? What are all the maps it has for?

    • @ChanMan.
      @ChanMan.  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can make custom maps for your different modifications. It has really good base maps though which would work with intake, downpipe and all of that

    Are you able to use e85 gas with the Jb4 tune? I thought it had to be a mix of e30

    • @ChanMan.
      @ChanMan.  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You’re correct e30. I just used e85 to make the mixture.

      I actually agree. I initially tried getting the pro tuner but they were out of stock with no estimated restock.

    You shouldn't use the mods without dealers installing it for you bud.. they need to tune the car so the data loggs do not outta limit void your warranty.. better hope you do not break something or a recall happens cause they "will" void your warranty on that engine just because they didn't make the $ off of doing it for you... ASE certified and KIA Certified bud you can have have it your way if you pay..

    • @granolatimes7185
      @granolatimes7185 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      The dealership will laugh in your face if you show up with a jb4 and ask them to install it. In no world would a hyundai dealership willingly install an ecu piggyback tuner for you.

      Depends on the dealer. The ones around me don’t give af about it they honor the warranty unless it’s something crazy you did that directly caused the problem

      @Buck3366 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m surprised no big and reputable tuning firm has collaborated with Hyundai to make an official dealer approved and warranty valid tune like Ford did with tuners Mountune on the Fiesta ST and Focus ST/RS.

    These are all good and all until your sensors start to fail, O2 Sensor goes bad, Accelerates the Carbon Buildup on these engines and blows a couple of solenoids.

    • @BrownBomber92181
      @BrownBomber92181 ปีที่แล้ว

      The big risk is the tune getting the A/F mix wrong & running lean and burning pistons. Canned tunes on forced induction engines are risky asf!

      Can you elaborate on this please?
