Double comment for the algorithm! What about an ep focusing on the fallout of the flashback from ROTJ. We can see how it impacted Bruce and pushed him away
If they did have a new season, I would have incorporated some of Batman's adversaries (the Joker, Scarecrow, Bane, and Poison Ivy) - possibly the Near Apocalypse of 09, which I thought it was a Ra's/Talia/Poison Ivy vs. Vandal Savage storyline.
It's sad to say, but I don't think a DCAU revival would work without Kevin. At least not in TV form, but maybe if the writers locked-in and decided to continue it via comic books to bridge the gap between JLU and Batman Beyond.
ngl your wonder woman TAS sounds like something that 9/10 would see (though idk if anyone’s willing to get an impersonator to play batman considering how baked conroy is in that batman in particular)
QOTD: In a new season I would want to see an older version of the Justice League! Have Bruce Wayne in the Batman Beyond suit and change up the main 7 a bit (I haven't always liked Cyborg being a member of Justice League, but a future version would be cool with him on it)
Oh yeah baby, a whole new video for my peepers. Thanks to all the Databoys and Babes in front of the mic and behind the scenes. I can't wait to watch!!
Personally for me, I have a lot of ideas of what I would have liked to see for a fourth season. They include -A return to New Genesis, see what happened to the New gods once Darkseid was no more. - More Atomic Skull -Some of the characters who only appeared in DCAU tie-in or Earth-12 comics like Animal Man and the Metal Men, with them all having an episode -Another Captain Marvel/Shazam episode -If doing time travel, then including future-set episodes with OMAC and Kamandi. -I really want to say a Doom Patrol episode too but the rights probably would have been a problem with the teen Titans appearance. -Lobo returning -The DNAliens (not the Ben 10 ones), work in that they were all left behind after Cadmus fell apart -Give Nemesis and Obsidian speaking roles. -The return of Orm fully as Ocean Master, maybe working behind the scenes to take Atlantis and the world's oceans once and for all. -Shining Knight and Etrigan teaming up, with Sir Justin not trusting Jason Blood due to his role in Camelot's fall. -And a take on the Nail series, where due to the time/space travel, several leaguers find themselves in a world where Superman is not around, thus meta humans are are lot more distrusted, the League hides in secret (with fewer of the founding members, implied to be killed by the Imperium), and the world's governments openly run Cadmus-like programs.
Great video guys my favorite part was when you talked about how Hal Jordan could have been in it, truly my favorite and most requested character for a show that had already been wrapped up for about ten years before I even started it. In all seriousness I would have loved an episode tackling the green lantern corps and the sinestro corps, perhaps an episode detailing the creation of sinestro corps and then the subsequence war with the GLC oh and the whole episode should have a running gag where the other GLs constantly talk about and praise Hal as one of there best, but he doesn't actually ever appear except for maybe a silhouette. Anyways thanks for the video it was awesome can't wait for the next one.
I think having Season 4 follow Terry McGinnis after Epilogue is a great idea. It’s also the highest possibility of something actually happening for a season 4. Would still love to see it, fingers crossed!!
If it was continued with the current plot lines that were talked about. I'd be fine with a season-long Crisis on Infinite Earth Storyline. In the season they could celebrate the entire history of DC like the comic and have some episodes in the present time showing how the other leaguers are doing while other things go on like a regrouping of the Secret Society of Supervillains or a threat that will destroy Earth as the other members are gone.
What I would’ve wanted to see in a new season is Tower of Babel… the idea of Batman coming up with his own plans to take down the League and then having them stolen and used by criminals is just awesome and I would love to see Bruce Timms version of it, and yes The Batman and Teen Titans are in the same universe and I stand by that!
The space idea for JLU season 4 is very reminiscent of the later seasons of _Super Friends_ (with seasons sub-/re-titled as _The Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians, Challenge of the SuperFriends, SuperFriends: The Legendary Super Powers Show,_ etc.) when they fought Darkseid and had a lot more space-based episodes, with them visiting weird alien planets like the one where John and Shayera get into that barfight. I remember watching it back around '82/'83 when I was about 8, and it introducing me to the whole concept of cosmic superhero adventures. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they were drawing inspiration from _SuperFriends_ for the concept.
Fun Fact, Alan Burnett, one of the minds that is behind the DCAU, actually has also worked on those later seasons of the Super Friends franchise as well.
Dude, your random references and memes are all things I know, _and_ I love Justice League (and other DCAU stuff) because I grew up with it, you have earned my sub!
QOTD: Personally for another Season of Justice League Unlimited / More DCU in general I want to see more things set in The Beyond Era with an Older Terry after Bruce Wayne is gone & The Future JLU Team featuring animated adaptations of DC Characters & adjusted Storylines from DC Comics that released AFTER The JLU Show Ended! There's now a lot of Characters that have been created since The JLU Show ended & It's interesting to think about how they would be adapted for not only in The DCAU but also The Future Batman Beyond Era 🤔
I would have loved to have seen what a Barry Allen in this universe could have been, more Wonder Woman Vs Dr. Psycho, John Constantine, the classic Justice Society, and more of John & Shayera relationship
This was fantastic. Thanks so much. I would love to have seen more with Darkseid and Lex. In addition, I would love to see the culmination of the Hawkgirl/John Stewart Love-Pentagram with them getting married or John dying. Space travel, yes. Time travel, no. Would love to see other super hero teams like the Titans, All Star Squadron, Outsiders, Doom Patrol. Just gets me excited and sad that we don't have more.
Its possible, given the space-centric plotline, the desire to use Adam Strange and Carter Hall and wrap up some loose ends with Thanagar, that we would have gotten a loose adaptation of the then-recent Rann-Thanagar War storyline, released in 2005
Right? The Rann-Thanagar War is even hinted at in JLvsF5! We did a whole video a few years ago about our take on what that could've maybe looked like in the DCAU!
I hereby pitch a musical episode. I don’t know if Music Meister was created yet, but you could use Mr. Mxyzptlk. The plot could be it’s time to mess with Superman again, but he had promised to take his girlfriend out on a date to prove he cares for her. So, he gets two birds with one stone and makes the JL be like it’s some sort of musical theatre thing for the date. This pitch would be rejected immediately, but wouldn’t be fun to think about.
I would have loved for JLU season 4 to be centered around exploring the DCU afterlife. It could be a kind of "Hell on Earth" thing where Hell has a major shake-up and evil souls get released. Hell maybe even some characters from The Sandman or Vertigo could show up.
Super cool! Thanks so much for making this video! Hal Jordan is definitely a favorite character of mine and he’s even in my current fan fiction story. So many amazing concepts and stories. I certainly love that Justice League “beyond era” idea. Totally cool! And yes I would want more Batman stuff like maybe a Scarecrow plot where he teams up with some other villains to increase his fear-spreading powers. I would also be all in on more Flash and Gigantia. I personally dig the idea of Flash dating a villain girl lol!
A Justice League Unlimited sequel series featuring the Batman Beyond era team would be great. Start with Bruce’s funeral, show Diana & Clark crying with Terry, reaffirming their devotion to his ideals of justice for the innocent and safety for all. Show an older Jessica Cruz as the senior GL overseeing baldy, have an aged Hawkgirl & John Stewart retired and getting up in years show up. Maybe have Barry show up at long last having jumped into the future, with Wally now the old and experienced one. Have Bruce buried next to a statue of Ace petting Ace. Have Dick Greyson, Jason Todd, Tim Drake, & Damian Wayne as his coffin bearers, with a new Nightwing & Robin in the crowd. Have Martian Manhunter giving a eulogy. Go all in. As for what I would have wanted to see for a theoretical s4 of JLU: I’d want to see an episode about Wally & Giganta, and mentions of Barry as the hero who saved everyone but no one knows his name. An episode of Diana and Bruce where he’s attacked by the Phantasm (being mind-controlled by Grodd) and put into a coma, leading to Bruce being tormented by nightmares of his lovers being punished for his actions, with Diana having to find the real Bruce inside by following his voice as he sings “Am I Blue” in the background, and really learning why he’s afraid to be with her: because he loves her more than any of them and he can’t let her be hurt like they were. An episode following up on War World & Superman’s foe, maybe this time with Booster Gold seeing what a hero with all the praise but no substance becomes. A wrap-up arc where John Stewart is assigned to patrol near Thanagarian territory, with Kyle Rayner going back to Earth for a time, with Hawkgirl & Hawkman going off with John while Vixen meets Kyle and has a heart-to-heart about what she’s actually doing with her life and with John. Meanwhile Hawkman becomes King of the Thanagarians and helps win the war alongside Adam Strange and some other folks, with Hawkgirl making the choice to stay with Earth for good and John resolving to talk to Vixen and Shayera straight. (Personally I’d have loved to see them form a polycule and have Vixen & Hawkgirl go on a date and establish a relationship too, but that wouldn’t air). A time travel episode wherein Amazo goes back to the source of magic and helps ancient preincarnations of Hawkman & Hawkgirl & John Stewart fight the Thanagarian devil god, finally completing the arc of “we create our own purpose” and becoming the helm worn by Dr. Fate. An episode following up with General OmniJameson, with Superman being mind-controlled again and he steps in to fight only to get put in the dirt, Batman producing his contingency plan and managing to subdue Clark but unable to perform the finishing blow on his friend, leading to his secret trump card: a hologram recording of Dan Turpin which breaks Superman out and lets them deal with the actual threat. I’d want a one-off episode of Terry coming to old man Bruce to ask about love, with him torn between Daina, 10, Aquagirl, & a fourth love interest, with Bruce being all “Oh boy, you’ve got no idea.” Maybe hint that Diana has a daughter that might be Terry’s half-sister. Definitely bring back Brainiac, have it be that Darkseid was merged with him like Luthor was when he returned, just not as evenly, and that part of him was able to escape or broke off, rebuilding himself quietly and eventually reforming in Terry’s time, trying to take over Zeta and resulting in a tie-up there. And finally, an episode of Kara in the future with the Legion of Superheroes, realizing she’s pregnant and having Brainiac 5 discuss retirement for them. (Edit) Oh, and a Fire & Ice episode with them being married but never saying it flat out, and just being the cutest crime-fighters ever.
No to the alphabet soup group fruit, nut, and flake co-deviancy ideas, but the other ones do not sound bad. Also, John Stewart should just have a harem with Vixen, Fire, and Ice, and Hawkgirl should join Hawkman because they are always fated to be lovers (and the Hawkgirl and Hawkman thing is ALWAYS canon in DC).
I think going back and forth between the original 7 and a group of leaguers covering for them after they disappear into space would have been interesting.
Loved, loved, LOVED this video Watchtower ❤️ I've ALWAYS wanted an answer to the question of what JLU would've looked like had it gone forward so this was incredible. Another extremely well done video to add to your already extensive catalog and a deep, deep thank you to you and the team for keeping the memory and love for the DCAU alive after all these years 🥹❤️ Also, we NEED that Teen Titans/ The Batman video 😂❤️
For the QOTD: it honestly feels like an impossible task for me. Growing up, the Glen Murakami helmed Teen Titans was my main experience with the DC universe, with whatever JL/JLU episodes I managed to catch on the off chance I was still watching CN/Toonami. At best, maybe a story arc involving Braniac could do to make up for the Darkseid bait and switch.
The storyline of 7 JL members being in space sounds a lot like the story line from Young Justice. I would love to see a Justice League cartoon by the team who did Young Justice.
My annual Christmas wish...aside from world peace that is, would be a Justice League Beyond series! Reading the Earth 12 comics had me hankering for some more of Terry McGinnis fighting alongside Superman, Barda, Warhawk, Aquagirl, and Green Lantern! Maybe we'd get a Flash...or Superman would meet his son that he had with Lashina. The possibilities are endless!
This would've come out around 2007, which would've been a few years into Geoff Johns' Green Lantern run. Incorporating some aspects of that, like the Sinestro Corps, since they were going to space, would've been pretty cool to see.
I wouldve loved to see some more deep space stuff, bring back Amazo, maybe an episode or two about the GL Corps (Hal Jordan), maybe a touch on Rann/Thanagar tensions, and Hal Jordan
For JL Season 4, I would have liked to see a bit more exploration of the Sinestro Corps. I think that unwritten episode-turned comic would have been an excellent segway for that. I'd have also liked to see Hal Jordan. And maybe even Hal Jordan, story permitting.
If a new season were to happen: I'd like to have seen new status quos for each of the Leaguers (and integrating newer storylines, future canon be damned.) What if Lois knew Clark's identity and they get married? The Bat-Embargo was lifted and more heroes like Spoiler or Orphan were brought in? Beyond would get additions from Future State etc etc.
I would've loved to have seen more WonderBat in season 4, but I would've loved to have also seen the 'present' team actually meet the future team (since they met an alternate future version in Season 1).
I would have loved to have seen a deep dive into the Martian Manhunter's past. Explore his time on Mars and his Johd Jones side on earth. it'd have also been cool to have them team up with the Doom Parrol or some version of the Teen Titans.
I would have liked to see more Wonder Woman and Batman stories that fully answered if they became a couple or not. Also some more flash stories, possibly dealing with exploring the speed force after Divided We Fall.
Hear me out hear me out JLU season 4: Lower decks! (The episode not the show) Basically an entire season of episodes like the greatest story never told or the fight club episode. Less known heroes and smaller scale/street level conflicts getting a chance to shine. This could even be concurrent with main seven traveling in space/time
Would have liked to see The Teen Titans & Maybe Superboy appear in the show maybe some More stories with the legion as well see what happen to supergirl after a few years in the future etc
Longtime subscriber here, and I gotta say, after watching so many of this channel's videos, I've reached a conclusion: not just the DCAU, but this entire era of DC animated media, was peak superhero content, similar to Phase 1-3 of the MCU. It's sad to say, but I don't think we'll ever get something as cool as the DCAU ever again, even if James Gunn's new DCU initiative turns out to be a hit. Oh well... At least I can still revisit these awesome movies and shows not just through streaming services, but more importantly, through the awesome Watchtower videos. Keep up the astonishing work!
I would have liked to see a swamp thing episode in a hypothetical addictional JLU season. If the season had been set in space that might have been a little hard to do, but the whole final section of alan moore's swamp thing was a journey through space and there's no reason why they couldnt have done a single episode back on earth as a change of pace.
Here is what a JLU Season 4 should have had, more of DC's world. What I mean by that is more locations from the comics. I also really liked the character centric episodes (exploring backstories, following a mystery, etc). I love watching your videos (and listening to the podcast) and keep up the good work. Stay Yoppie!
Considering James Gunn's saying there's some Justice League influence on his DCU and including DCAU Superman's picture while showing his influences for Superman Legacy, now seems like the perfect time for an 'Elseworlds" #JLReunion.
I think for a season 4, if the Bat Embargo was lifted, make in a season long celebration of that by reintegrating Batman's rogues and allies, perhaps having the Joker himself as the big bad of the season trying to make a joke out of all the other world enders by trying to make everyone go out in one glorious big bang. And perhaps, he even wins, setting off to season 5 through time travel and multiverse shenanigans to restore the surviving hero's lost world.
I really like the idea of the orginal 7 (Hal Jordan, superman, batman, wonder women, flash (Barry allen), aquaman, and Hal Jordan) episode idea. I would also like to see an episode of the perspective of the side characters days while the justice league is out on mission like robin, batgirl, Lois lane, and Jimmy doing things

If I got JLU season 4, all I'm looking for is more green arrow and black Canary. There the best couple in comics
26:44 I personally think that Darkseid's Final invasion is what would have jolted Joker out of his coma not Aces Death. But I like that idea as well.
It's sad to say, but I don't think a DCAU revival would work without Kevin. At least not in TV form, but maybe if the writers locked-in and decided to continue it via comic books to bridge the gap between JLU and Batman Beyond.
I would've like to see the League team up with the 1970's Super Friends team, and the 1980's Super Friends team, as well.
ngl your wonder woman TAS sounds like something that 9/10 would see
(though idk if anyone’s willing to get an impersonator to play batman considering how baked conroy is in that batman in particular)
Jon Stewart visiting Hal Jordan's grave with an epitaph of "a man we never knew..." 😂
"Sorry to this man"
Personally for me, I have a lot of ideas of what I would have liked to see for a fourth season. They include
-A return to New Genesis, see what happened to the New gods once Darkseid was no more.
- More Atomic Skull
-Some of the characters who only appeared in DCAU tie-in or Earth-12 comics like Animal Man and the Metal Men, with them all having an episode
-Another Captain Marvel/Shazam episode
-If doing time travel, then including future-set episodes with OMAC and Kamandi.
-I really want to say a Doom Patrol episode too but the rights probably would have been a problem with the teen Titans appearance.
-Lobo returning
-The DNAliens (not the Ben 10 ones), work in that they were all left behind after Cadmus fell apart
-Give Nemesis and Obsidian speaking roles.
Another great vid! I’d have liked to see more of my sweet boy Nightwing. Guy earned more than a silhouette Easter egg
Personally I just wish we had a moment of reconciliation between Superman and Captain Marvel
I would love to see amazo come back in a JL S4 there’s basically infinite things they can do with him. Also seeing more beyond would be sick
Robert Picardo isn't doing anything right now so it's a perfect time!
Dude, your random references and memes are all things I know, _and_ I love Justice League (and other DCAU stuff) because I grew up with it, you have earned my sub!
Thank you! 😁
I need to know more about the 'near apocalypse of 09'! Like it is my Zeta project!
All i would have wanted from a season 4 of jlu is more Jeffrey Combs as the Question.
Man, and I thought Bruce Timm sharing (almost) two names with Bruce Wayne and Tim Drake was confusing enough; enter Matt Wayne
How did you do the search icon?

I hereby pitch a musical episode. I don’t know if Music Meister was created yet, but you could use Mr. Mxyzptlk. The plot could be it’s time to mess with Superman again, but he had promised to take his girlfriend out on a date to prove he cares for her. So, he gets two birds with one stone and makes the JL be like it’s some sort of musical theatre thing for the date. This pitch would be rejected immediately, but wouldn’t be fun to think about.
That sounds amazing, I’m annoyed this doesn’t exist now
I would have loved for JLU season 4 to be centered around exploring the DCU afterlife. It could be a kind of "Hell on Earth" thing where Hell has a major shake-up and evil souls get released. Hell maybe even some characters from The Sandman or Vertigo could show up.
No Dwayne mcduffie or Kevin Conroy so I doubt it
Go all in.
As for what I would have wanted to see for a theoretical s4 of JLU:
I’d want to see an episode about Wally & Giganta, and mentions of Barry as the hero who saved everyone but no one knows his name.
(Edit)
Oh, and a Fire & Ice episode with them being married but never saying it flat out, and just being the cutest crime-fighters ever.
Man, I don't wanna see Bruce die, but that is kind of beautiful. And there's no other way to do "more DCAU" without Kevin and Mark.
@@paxhumana2015
I have no idea what that first part’s about.
Great video as always :)
I would absolutely expect a return from Amazo in a hypothetical new episode!
Justice League Unlimited Beyond sounds like an incredible idea that I would love to watch!
Side note that thumbnail goes HARDDDD
This would've come out around 2007, which would've been a few years into Geoff Johns' Green Lantern run. Incorporating some aspects of that, like the Sinestro Corps, since they were going to space, would've been pretty cool to see.
I wouldve loved to see some more deep space stuff, bring back Amazo, maybe an episode or two about the GL Corps (Hal Jordan), maybe a touch on Rann/Thanagar tensions, and Hal Jordan
You upload this after I started rewatching JLU for the first time in a few months last night and that intro is exactly me lmao
ToonrificTariq voicing Dwayne McDuffie fixed me
If another season of JLU was made, I would have liked to see more of the green lantern corp, especially more Kilowog.
I would've loved to have seen more WonderBat in season 4, but I would've loved to have also seen the 'present' team actually meet the future team (since they met an alternate future version in Season 1).
I Would like to see Plastic-man!! Plastic-man!! Plastic-man!! Plastic-man!! Plastic-man!! Plastic-man!! Plastic-man!! Plastic-man!!
"my kid is hungry" hit me in the feels. So I diligently watched your add.
I would have loved to have seen a deep dive into the Martian Manhunter's past. Explore his time on Mars and his Johd Jones side on earth. it'd have also been cool to have them team up with the Doom Parrol or some version of the Teen Titans.
An ep about him during the war would and exploring that even could be good
I would have liked to see more Wonder Woman and Batman stories that fully answered if they became a couple or not. Also some more flash stories, possibly dealing with exploring the speed force after Divided We Fall.
They became a thing in JLI
this is what DC needs, hell you making this video was we needed
justice lords vs crime syndicate.
What’s funny is that the O Squad is a thing in the comics. Not a canon story, but still
Hear me out hear me out
JLU season 4:
Lower decks!
(The episode not the show)
Basically an entire season of episodes like the greatest story never told or the fight club episode. Less known heroes and smaller scale/street level conflicts getting a chance to shine.
This could even be concurrent with main seven traveling in space/time
Season 4, it's my main thing I've wanted to see in the DCAU. Show us the Titans!
Bet they're Tim Drake/Robin II, Roy Harper/Speedy, Bart Allen/Kid Flash, Garfield Logan/Beast Boy, and a Victoria Stone/Cyborg.
Would have liked to see The Teen Titans & Maybe Superboy appear in the show maybe some
More stories with the legion as well see what happen to supergirl after a few years in the future etc
ok hear me out, a JLU episode on Amazos perspective, he reaches the end of the universe, decides to go back and become *Skeets* !
Justice League Infinity josses this.
Can’t wait for justice league unlimited season 4 to be brought back and be centred only around Nemesis.
There are dozens of us!
DOZENS!!!
"I want more. And I know I shouldn't."
This accurately sums up my feelings on the DCAU.
First like, thanks for all the vids and work yall do
Considering James Gunn's saying there's some Justice League influence on his DCU and including DCAU Superman's picture while showing his influences for Superman Legacy, now seems like the perfect time for an 'Elseworlds" #JLReunion.
Nice video!!! I wish we got another season
Part of me wonders what the existing JLU seasons would’ve looked like had the Bat-embargo not been placed. Would make an interesting what-if vid.
I would have loved to see a Galatea resurrection and redemption story line!
Nothing spicier than a day with a new Database vid
THE DCAU IS MY FAVORITE AND MY CHILDHOOD I OWN THE WHOLE THING ON DVD AND BLU RAY AND REWATCH ALL THE TIME!
