    I've been looking for one. Tired of the stuff in the pre pack has too much butter.

    • @TroutButter
      @TroutButter 7 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      You can buy the microwave popcorn in the bags that has no butter.
      For me there's no such thing as too much butter. When I do a microwave bag, I use the Movie Theater Butter flavor one and add more actual butter to it!

      @@TroutButter It's always coated in butter to get the most popcorn inside the bag. Homemade popcorn just needs a 1/4 teaspoon or enough to coat the inside of a Walmart popcorn bowl. Remember to shake it to coat every seed well. Sometimes, their would be seeds left inside the bowl just use the leftovers for other batch. Healthy oil is better than unhealthy oil. Don't go insane on the unhealthy oil cause it would effect you later on in life. Not good consuming unhealthy oil all the time. I hope this helps out.

    I have this popper, the "butter dispenser" is not very good. Here is how I do it. about a tablespoon or 1.5 tablespoons olive oil in the popper, then 4-5 pats of butter, then a 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt, and 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of black pepper then add 2 of the lid measurements of popcorn kernels. Put in microwave for 5-6 minutes, ENJOY!

    The 2nd batch was whiter because you weren't drizzling the butter on it while it was cooking.

  • @jordanfx
    @jordanfx 7 ปีที่แล้ว +18

    It looks whiter in the silicone one because you didn’t have the butter melted on top in the microwave. Come on, Jack.

    I have the QVC popper that I got about a month ago and we use it 2 to 3 times a week. We loooove the popper (and I also am giving the other 2 as gifts). I have popped it dry, put butter in the top like you did, and I've also put a little coconut cooking oil in the bottom and it's always delicious!! I have tried the paper bag trick a couple times and every time I have burned the popcorn even when taking out before the 2 second rule. Anyway, wanted to put my 2 cents in for the QVC popper.

      3 minutes when not hot. Or 2:30 when it’s hot. Spread the oil or butter around the inside of the bowl and shake it to spread it. The oil would coat everything. Use a 1/4 teaspoon or half of it. I used hemp oil. I love it

      @@rickcormier9160 I put the oil around the inside of the bowl then drop the popcorn seeds. Make sure that it's close to the line on the rubber lid. Make sure to spread the oil all around on the inside of the bowl then shake it to coat the seeds. Make sure. You don't leave it in the microwave for a long time. Sometimes, their would be a few popcorn seeds that didn't pop at first. Just pop them later. I might do a video of it if anything.

The glass one you can't put your hand into and the silicone one would collapse if you tried to eat it out of the bowl and I have gotten rid of silicone items because they are annoying to hand wash. Want one that is glass shaped with a lid that vents I guess.
