    World of Warships (the game) has been a quite big influence on Trumpeter and Very Fire etc - myself included - as it has subjects not seen by the general uneducated public outside WW2 until now. I am stoked this is coming out and will be picking one up for sure. Thanks for the review!

    That's a good looking kit. Slide mold tech was used to advantage. If I was still in to model ships I would definitely like these proposed and unfinished/uncommissioned designs models as they are a documented component of naval history.

    I’d like to see some ships like USS Hartford or HMS Warrior in 1/200 or 1/100 scale; when sail meets steam mid to late 19th Century an area almost untouched by model companies

    Like you said, we all have ship models we'd like to see in kit form. I'd love to see a 1/144 or 1/200 scale Livermore-class WWII destroyer.

    I just bought that exact ship. I wanted to get more involved in PE.. and this has surely made me think.. I'm used to Tamiya.. This is my first Trumpeteer... Very different as far as instructions go so that's gonna be a bit of problem for me.. But looks pretty good.. Anxious to get started on it.

      I did the maths on that one, with the H44 proposals being 345 Meters (1143 ft) long and the scale being 1:200 would equal to a model with a lenght of 1.7 meters (5.5 ft).
      enormous sizes for sure but I bet it would be a lot of fun to build as well

    Why do we have a kit of a German battle ship that never was & never would have been. Where's the USS Salt lake city 11 Battle stars, had it out with 2 heavy & 2 light Japanese cruisers? How about the USS Houston?

    Is This the H-44 Battleship, Which is supposed to be bigger than the Yamato?

    • @SquadronMMD
      @SquadronMMD  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They don't specify which ship of H-Class this is supposed to be... I assume by offering the option of the twins or the triples, they are planning on allowing us to build it into whichever one we prefer

    • @josephkugel5099
      @josephkugel5099 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, This is the H-39, it was the direct follow on to the Bismarck class and was about 911 feet long at 56,000 tons with 8 x 16in guns, The biggest of the H-class designs would have been the H-44 at 1,131feet long, 131,000 tons and armed with 8 x 20in guns.
      Germany never designed an H-Class with triple turrets not even on paper, i am under the impression that the optional three gun version is something that comes from the game War Thunder as a strictly made up ship that was so popular Trumpeter threw it in as a bonus, i applaud them for this but would hope that some day they give us the monstrous H-44 in both 1/350 and massive 1/200 scales.
