I'm proud of what you have done. I have stopped working on mine. Overwhelming and I don't know when I'm gonna start back on the project. Iam to inexperienced. I'm glad I get to see your work. Bravo! 💯
What I love about this is that it shows the titanic as it was built to be - a gorgeous luxury liner with the most excessive first class amenities. You didn't add the bow pain for the goal fire in the hull, as I saw another person do (which I thought was a rather depressing omen). You are doing the ship justice. It was beautiful, and should have given hundreds of thousands of people a wonderful memory through their lives, had things gone differently.
Hi there, thank you for the comment. Yes that is what I’m trying to go for, a ship that should have had a wonderful life. I like the idea of saying a ship that should have given hundreds and thousands of people a wonderful memory, very nice way of putting it 🙂
Very well received video. Many of the basics are very helpful. I've already ordered the book, and the advice on the soldering is great. Many of us "medium grade modelers" are very appreciative of the info.
Hi there, thank you glad it is informative. The book is good, that in combination with the many resources out there on the web should go well. Soldering is an odd one, its the sort off skill that everyone does slightly different. I will do a video on how I solder in a few weeks hopefully :)
I'm very impressed by your knowledge! I found your channel a few weeks ago and I have watched all your videos and I'm really looking forward to the next uppdate.
Hi Rob as a codicil to my last comment here's a tip for soldering, when the joint is finished put a spot of hot glue on it to secure and waterproof it, not always possible i know but on the majority of joints it serves well Paul
I purchased one of these kits but i have yet to get started on it. I have enjoyed your series and have a bit left to watch, consider me well entertained.
I would very much like you to do a tutorial on electronics and soldering. Also, anything else you feel would be useful. I am a subscriber and follow your vids. with much interest. Keep up the good work.
I agree hearty about solder I do a little soldering I started with a very poor solder which ended up looking like a dog's dinner until someone put me right. I was wondering if on your lifeboats I've seen some canvas covers on TH-cam will you be using these , finally keep on modelling you will get there in the end.
Yep I have found this too, and it is very confusing as you could quite easily go into a hardware shop as a beginner and ask for 'solder' and get a totally wrong product. I won't be using the kit lifeboats actually as I have some 3D printed ones from the KA set, these have canvas covers on them already (except for the smaller cutter boats at the front). Thank you!
Hood actually did sink once! When reversed the props washed water onto the aft decks that sank her. Fortunately in very shallow water close to the bank so I didn’t get too wet! Titanic fingers crossed never. But never say never!
Hi there, good question. No I can’t. All motors are driven from a single speed controller so i can only control them in unison. I think I might change this later if I feel the need, if steering proves to be a big issue!
@@TheModelBoatGuy ah alright. For your esc, did you wire it in a way where you have 2 positive leads and 1 negative lead on your positive lead and 2 negative and 1 positive on your negative lead to control all three motors? Did you use a splitter of some sort?

this is most definitely the best Titanic build series

A very handy video. Thanks for sharing :-)

I'd love to see the video on electronics if you'd be kind enough to do so !

If you have a hamper it will be Paradise for him
Building models from Titanic and Hood, the obvious question stayed unanswered: when and how do you plan to sink them?
Hood actually did sink once! When reversed the props washed water onto the aft decks that sank her. Fortunately in very shallow water close to the bank so I didn’t get too wet! Titanic fingers crossed never. But never say never!
I may have missed this throughout the build, but can you control your wing motors independently as to make steering easier?
Hi there, good question. No I can’t. All motors are driven from a single speed controller so i can only control them in unison. I think I might change this later if I feel the need, if steering proves to be a big issue!

Hi have you thought of putting sound in your model ? i intend to put the sound of the Titanic's horn in mine it's loud !!!
Can you help me find the name of a boat? It was a ww2 medical ship. I would know it If I saw it I just don't know its name.
No clue sorry, my knowledge of ww2 ships is poor to say the least!
what is your real name bro
Thank you for the comment. Its a fine balance getting a glue that dries quickly enough to be convenient and one that dries too quickly!
