I drove a manual version years ago, and it stayed with me as the nicest shifting car I’ve driven. That’s not saying much as I’ve only driven about 3 manual cars, but it gave me a big smile driving it. It still makes me happy thinking about it.
They shift amazing. I had an 08 TL Type S 6 speed and honestly, the TSX shifts, handles and drives just as good. They’re just hard to find since they’re bombed out most of the time.
Wish you would have found me when researching for this video! Bought mine new in California December of 2004 with 5 miles on it. It now has 607,000 miles (almost 1,000,000 Km) on it. It still has the original drive train with no rebuilds. It's been a great cars & have never let me down. Just took it on a 9,000 mile cross country road trip last summer & no mechanical issues. I have some videos documenting the car. The car has been serviced by my local dealer it's entire life. Quick tip for your future videos of what to look for when checking for accident history... each panel has a VIN label on it in the jambs. If you cant find the VIN label, the panel has been replaced.
This sums the car up in one paragraph, brilliant! There are a few stories of these hitting silly miles like the Acura driver being given a new one as a trade in for his 1 millian mile example.
The car in video is so clean you can't even tell it is almost 20 years old. Honda built this car with no costs to spare and it shows and kuddos to the owner the way he kept it with love and care
K24A3 is one of the best engines; 6SP Man or even the 5AT is decent with sequential mode. Springs/Coilovers; Modulo/Mugen kit; wheels & a the infamous reflash tune. You will have a lovely comfortable car with some of the best shifting & handling; the aftermarket support is insane. You can get very decent NA power out of these engines very easily. They are such a wonderful car.
You can get decent na power very easily. No it's not easy and it's fucking expensive. You can chip most cars this car can't be chipped and you can't put a turbo on it either. You'll need a k20 head. Getting decent power out of the k24a3 will cost you about 4k usd
You can turbo it; been done plenty of times it won't be as cheap but that's not NA is it... You can do NA bolt ons for probably around $3000 AUD all up at the higher end; and walk out with 200+ ATW easily; throw in those short gear ratios from the CL7 or a Type-R and you dog walk most other cars in that class; just go look at KiwiCarLifes comparison videos don't think he lost a rolling race at all. The most expensive thing will be the gearset. 200 ATW for an NA car you can buy from anywhere between literally 3-10k depending on condition, kms etc is great. Not to mention the handling and suspension; which is already great stock and is not expensive to improve either. Enjoy ur chip tuned gti and the 20k you spent on it
Owned two and loved them both, great cars and severely underrated. Both were super reliable and will never let you down if you just maintain scheduled servicing.

I own a 2005 auto, and truly one of the all time greats from Honda. Classy without being flashing, sporty yet understated; I get frequent compliments on this car. It's that just right size compact, midsize-ish that provides good space and threads corners with confidence It's sporty nature is really complimented by quality tires and true rims. This review is spot on. Kudos.
I currently own a later model - the 2012 Accord Euro Luxury - and yes, they are an excellent car to drive. It even has paddle shifters but I rarely use them. One bad experience I had with it had more to do with my local Honda dealer who couldn't diagnose a problem to save their life. My power steering died and the local Honda dealer diagnosed the problem as the power steering rack. Cost to replace...$2,900! Wanting a 2nd opinion I went to a local mechanic who said it was the power steering module. He replaced the module for just $600. Problem fixed. I don't use Honda dealer service centres anymore.
One item I don't recall seeing you cover and is very much a lesser known feature is the AUX button the dash. On alot of models, the button has no function, however behind that large storage space below the dash (it slides out easily) there is a plug for a variety of aftermarket accessories. It is very obvious once you access that space and seems to serve no other purpose. You can then add in iPhone chargers, 3.5mm headphone line IN jacks, USB etc. and that then functions on the AUX mode. From memory the cords can even be fed back through a small hole in the storage bin.
I have a Euro R Honda Accord, the Year is 2003. And YES, she really is a GEM of a car! Her colour is Silver Grey, and I call her "Silver Bullet!" The Recaro seats are so comfortable! She is well-cared for and loved!
I recently bought a 2011 accord euro CU2 luxury-best car I’ve ever owned and driven in 35 years.6 speed manual is awesome,plenty of power when you need it,good fuel economy if your not too heavy on the accelerator,the quality of build and handling is unbelievable.And the tuning potential with the K-24 is amazing.
12:52 Sorry if you mention this later, but be sure to get down and check that the plastic underbody cover isn't sagging or damaged. I've found it to be quite common amongst any accord models that have done >200xxxkms, the plastic thread that holds the cover in place gets buzzed against the bolts from engine vibration and eventually drops out of place, usually behind the front bumper. The cover itself is a dirt cheap part and very simple to replace yourself if you have access to a hoist, the parts that it protects from road splash and debris can be a different story if the cars been driven with damaged covers. If you come across one with a badly damaged or sagging cover, ask where it's been parked overnight and if they say grass, keep your wallet in your pocket until you've done a thorough check for rust.
My 2012 TSX Wagon with 70k on the clock is a real jewel....some of Honda's best engineering, superb build quality and as rare as an NSX in my Philly area. I treat it and maintain it like the fine machine it is; and have no doubt that the motor is good for 250k miles at least. The paddle shifters in Sport mode make the 5 speed auto more entertaining, but it's a great highway cruiser with an excellent double wishbone suspension....love it!
Manual TSX driver over here. Engines are easily modified, reliable after effing with them, and hold up to hard revving and track days. What’s not to like? Granted, it’s not fast by modern standards, but slap coil overs, valves, pistons, throttle a tune and header, and they really sing! ☺️
Thanks for the fine presentation. I own one here in Canada that is Acura TSX 2005. Mine is 6 speed manual transmission and I love this car the way it looks and drives. I really take care of this car and it's in mint condition. No rust and accident free. It's my weekend car and I don't drive it for my daily commute. For that I drive a 09 Civic. I don't drive it much in winter when roads are salt covered. I bought it used in 2013 @ 92,0000 km on it. I never spent any major money on maintenance until last year when my clutch plate worn out. I got new clutch @ 190,000 km that costed me $1600. Now last month check engine light popped up and I was told my timing chain tensioner was worn out. I got it replaced by certified Honda mechanic that costed me $1200. Now no problem to mention except you mentioned this car has power steering problems. Mine works fine except there's is very slight leak in rack and pinion power steering assembly and I just need to watch the power steering fluid level. I need add the power steering fluid twice a year. I was told by my mechanic keep driving it until it needs changed and that will be a $1200 job. So far so good. I can get $6000 in today's market for my car @ 200,000 km on it but I am not letting it go. I love this car 🚗. This car is my baby! This has always been my favourite Accord and if I hadn't been lucky enough to find a CH1, this would likely have been my garage. Somehow the Premium in black with its standard rims is, to me, one of the best looking sedans ever made.
Im an international student and owned 2 2004 automatic Euros till now (clocked around 50k in two years of ownership). Brilliant car for its price and man the engine is one gem. Brings the balance between comfort cruising and power when demanded. common issues i had was 1. power steering failure ( used to lock when turing roundabout) . 2. central locking system ( especially the left side door fails to lock) 3. right side door window motor ( very common in all Honda) 4. engine light & tcs warning, when this popsup the acceralation or performance of the engine gets limited ( due to throttle or accelation sensor). But hey, the above mentioned issues cost you around 1K and the parts are easily available in wreking areas. since we came to know the common issues very soon, i have recommended this car to my friends and we have 4 of this car in our gang. such a wonderful car for first time buyers in second-hand market.

I agree that this was a game changer. It’s still a desirable car till this day! I’ve owned 3, currently on my 4th CL9 all manual. I will always have a soft spot for this car! One thing that should be mentioned is that the CL9 only came with 4 speakers not 6! The rear door speakers are blank which is sad… I fitted mine with an aftermarket sound system with apple CarPlay/Android auto and I am more in love with the car 😀
I am on my 3rd CL9 Acura TSX. My first two were automatics and they were fantastic, reliable, comfortable cars. They really are just the perfect daily driver. My current TSX is a 6 Speed manual. Both of my first TSXs were traded in for manual NEW cars. The first was traded on a 2015 Mazda 6 manual that I hated and instantly regretted buying. Fortunately, it was written off due to a flood in the first year I owned it so I immediately went out and bought my 2nd TSX. I really wanted a manual but I couldn't find one. I came across a perfect low mileage, old lady owned, garaged automatic and snatched it up. I will say that as much fun as my current manual is, the automatics were very pleasant to drive and perfectly reliable. 3 years later I traded it on a 2018 US Honda Accord with the 2.0t and 6 speed. That car was also fantastic but not as charming and endearing as these CL9s. The CL9 is pretty much the last of the Golden Era Hondas, in my opinion. One issue that was not mentioned (i have experienced this with all 3 of my CL9s) is the seat belt buckles have a sensor inside that fails and triggers the airbag light. I also replaced motor mounts, and the AC compressors are known to fail on earlier cars. My current TSX is a 2005 with 174000 miles and I would not hesitate to drive it across the united states. Its definitely one of the best cars I have ever owned.

My dad owned two Accords. His first one was an '85 model. He had a carburetor problem that was resolved by the mechanic pulling it apart, cleaning it and putting it back together again. He traded that one 10 years later and 300,000kms for a '95model. I don't know why because it still drove like it was just run in. He did less kilometres in the '95 ( I can't remember how many), but it still drove like a brand new car when he sold it. Not one single repair had been done in the time that he owned it. My mum owns a 90 something Civic and it's the same. Faultless. The only thing that I would say about them is that they are as boring as bat 5h!t to drive. They just work and nothing more. Now that I'm a grumpy old man, it's exactly the car that I would reccomend.
Awesome review! Another thing to add is that you can get an ECU reflash for these for around $400 that lower the Vtec engagement, bring the redline up to nearly 8,000 RPM and give you a 1-1 throttle ratio! Makes them properly comparable to an equal age type R model in terms of straight line speed.

Great review. Our family has both this the CL9 Euro (2007), and next gen CU2 Euro (2012). Both cars are 6 speed manuals and base models and have been with us for many years. Neither has had any major repairs, just servicing and affordable consumable parts like the odd bushing, starter motor, ignition coil, and door lock actuator. The build quality is superb, as is the smoothness and performance of the powertrain. Mid 9s fuel economy is realistic for suburban driving. Only issue is bleaching of paint in the Milano Red CL9. It turns pink due to our harsh UV, but otherwise the clear coat is holding up well. Bleaching only seems to occur with this pigment.
We have an '04 with 300K KM on it. A new clutch is the only major mechanical replacement in our 12+ years of ownership. Touch wood, it's never broken down or left us stranded. We've had to do the normal stuff with those sorts of km's, such as new wheel bearings, an alternator. Other small common issues are broken center console cup holders, central locking latches failing, clutch pedal cylinder squeaking and eventually needing replacement. Specific to our car, ours blows headlight bulbs fairly regularly even after all the normal checks and fixes. OEM Parts are readily and cheaply available, some are much cheaper online (central locking solenoids, alternator).
Bought one of these for 8k NZD about a month back. VERY similar spec too. Same colour and interior, but with nicer wheels and the spoiler you could get. I'm absolutely loving it. The more I drive it, the more I love it. Can see myself keeping it for a long, long time.
My UK 2.4 Type S is fantastic. A few subtle enhancements has brought it to life. A brilliant chassis, fabulous engine & great looks. In 2022 it is still THE car I choose to own.
Whoever owns this vehicle has certainly showed care and attention in looking after it. I always liked the model and it was only my lack of finances and the cost of the 'luxury' model which prevented me from buying one.
I still have my 2004 and daily drive it. A very good all rounder car! If you do have a power steering pump issue or leak, it is very easy to rebuild and the seal and bearing kits are available too.
I couldn't agree more. I'm now on my 2nd Honda Accord, my first was kept for 12 years and then I gave it to a relative. My current Honda Accord is this generation (7th), 2006 2.4i, auto, silver bodywork, black leather interior and honestly there is NOTHING I do not like about it at all. It is absolutely perfect. Mine has every conceivable extra, including Lane Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control (which is brilliant). Bluetooth, Sat/Nav, the lot..... I love it to bits and I actually prefer it to the newer generation (the 8th). I intend looking after this as one as best as I can :)
We had one for 10 years had 60,000 ks on the clock when we bought it. Fantastic sports sedan. Wish we still had it sold it with 250,000 ks on the clock. Still as good as the day we bought it. Only thing we had to change was the alternator at 230,000ks. Had the same beige leather seats still like brand new. We did keep it in a carport.
Love these videos! I owned an Accord Tourer (estate version in Europe) from 2005, Type S with a manual. Very spacious boot, great fun to drive. There are a few common problems specifically to the tourer with the electric tailgate and gas struts. Mine had both issues and it was pretty expensive to fix. However, I loved the car and still consider it one of the best cars I ever owned.
I've got a 2007 Honda Accord Euro in base trim. It's my 'Sunday' car and doesn't get a hard time. Had it now for 3 years and was the best $8k (Aus. dollar) I ever spent on a car. Superb cruiser on the Highways, fuel economy of 6.8 litres/100km, and goes great on some of my local 'twisties' in the Hunter Valley of NSW, when I decide to 'give it a squirt'. An absolute delight to drive, Honda really made great cars from this era. It's a keeper. 🙂
I feel like this car was designed to lure away people shopping for C-class & 3 series and perhaps the A4 too, with the price of this entry level Honda Accord being $10-12K cheaper than its European rivals.
I’m in the US but I just bought a 2008 Honda Accord for $3200. The mileage is up there at 230,000, but it’s mechanically and cosmetically excellent. I’m so excited to start modding it, especially a quick flash to increase redline and move up VTEC engagement.
I have had a euro for years now it's a 2004 and has over five hundred thousand KLMs on it replaced the obvious, batt , tyres, etc , motor still is whisper quiet, and does not use oil , thanks to penrite oil synthetic 5, 40 this car is unstoppable
I rented one of these, a 2006 Euro, for a month while between daily drivers about two years ago. To be honest, I didn't want to return it at the end of that month! While it was a bit smaller than what I was used to driving, it was fuel efficient, comfortable, quick, and an all round pleasure to drive - particularly over long distances! I really enjoyed driving that car, and if I had to put my wife into a daily driver car, this vehicle would top my list as a great handling, safe, reliable, classy and understated ride.
My 2006 TSX just hit 107K miles and drives like brand new. It's only broken down one time and that was due to a bad ignition coil 4 years ago, which was $150 part and $100 labor to fix. The bluetooth even works...(if you have a flip phone) but it cannot handle the newer iPhone bluetooth. Aux cable fixes that and plays music and takes calls. Thanks for this review TSX / Accord Euro is a GEM.
The accord euro is a great car. Probably the best Honda family car ever made. It is very well rounded. Comes with a good reliable engine, cruise control, dual climate control and heated seats in the luxury version. It looks really well, drives really well and is built really well. I have personally owned over 15 cars and this is definately in my top 3. One of the weak points in the car however is the power steering pumps, they tend to go bad after 150000kms.
Bloody good review...thanks! Regarding the ants mentioned at 13:00. An old mate of mine (RIP Shamus) who was a very switched on mechanic, once told me that ants in Darwin love electrical looms on some brands of car (he mentioned Ford Falcons). He reckoned a common fix was to give all the wiring a good squirt of silicone spray to make it less palatable to the little buggers. One of the foibles of life in the tropics. :)
Always loved the look of those Accords. There was always something else that caught my eye a little more though, so never owned one. Nice Seiko turtle by the way.
A young neighbour had one for the year he was there. Only issue was headlights not working (can't recall if it was high or low beam). He pulled the steering column switch unit out and we cleaned the contact and applied a thin smear of dielectric grease and she was sorted. Nice looking car.
I owned a 2004 Acura TSX here in Canada. The TSX offers so much...fuel economy, luxury, great style and reliability, all at an affordable price. My TSX had bullet proof reliability. My only complaint was the seats. I don't know if I ever adjusted them properly, but they gave me the worst back aches. I now own a 2010 North American model Honda Accord and no more back pain. Seats are firm and provide plenty of support. Incidently, the 2.4 l 4 cylinder engine in my Accord looks identical to the one I had in my TSX.
Excellent review. I have owned my Accord Euro new since 2007. I agree with so many of the comments that your made. I really do recommend this car. You mentioned at the start of the video that the Hondamatic transmission is actually different from 'normal' automatics, but did not explain why later in the video. I am actually really interested, what makes the transmission different? Many thanks.
My Father bought this dream of a Car in 2004 and after he cannot drive in 2014, I got it. So after ten years, or 20 total, this Car is in a really good shape! So underrated on german Autobahn..... I will never replace ist, until it is a wreck...
My daily driver is a 2006 base model euro with the 6 speed manual. Despite having almost 300,000km on it the car is still in excellent shape both mechanically and cosmetically. Even with a bit of spirited driving I average about 8l per 100km. Hands down the best car I have ever had.
I purchased a CL9 Accord Euro 6 speed manual last year. Honda makes some of the nicest feeling manual transmissions in the world. The Euro was especially nice and had a very forgiving clutch. Very good car if you're looking for something around 10k for a clean one. If you're looking at the "Luxury" version look carefully at the carpets to ensure they're not wet. These have issues where the sunroofs are not maintained correctly by owners. The drains will get blocked very easily. They should be cleaned monthly with warm soapy water. Fantastic car but I found it's very hard to find new parts in Australia. So expect to be using used parts to maintain the car. Parts are much easier to find in Japan and the USA.
I own a 2010 cu2 accord euro auto (2008-2015 model) bought in 21’. I just needed a reliable car at the time and it has not skipped a beat. However these cars are notorious for being easy to rollback the odo, it was said at 115k km however judging by the wear on the vehicle i would say its about 300k km, so ensure the wear on the vehicle matches, roughly, the odo and the log book is with the car. That being said again i dont own this model i own the later model. I have the base model and it comes with dual zone climate (driver side heating broken tho) a 10 speaker audio system and a very strong driver terrain (im a p plater, ask me how i know). All in all a great car and no regrets buying it.
I've owned a 2.0 and 2.4 type s petrol. Both excellent .2.4 put a lot of top motors to shame 8 years 130k of perfect reliability and great handling / performance good economy considering performance.

Alternators dying? That’s interesting I’ve never heard that one before. My 08 with 176,000 miles is still running the OEM alternator, given that’s only one example. I’ve owned my car for 7 years now been on the tsx forums and don’t recall alternator issues. Failing A/C compressors absolutely, mine hasn’t yet though. Axle issues, 04-05 oil consumption issues,
My first car in high school was sa 2006 tsx. I drove into a truck and totalled it...got a 2008 tsx. A few years later, got a B8.5 S4 and my mom took the tsx. My s4 was in the shop and I drove the tsx for 2 weeks...162k miles and still one of the smoothest driving experiences I've ever had. I still absolutely recommend this car. My parents are always on top of service, and it has rewarded them handily.
I wanted a bigger daily and got a 2003 Wagon recently since I've always loved how these looked since i remember them coming out. Was shocked to learn they are 20 years old
I had a 2007 Accord Type S and it was a fantastic and comfortable car to drive. Didn't have any issues with it other than the factory radio unit died and the steering wheel buttons didn't work when the interior was below freezing. When it warmed up they started working again. I replaced the factory head unit it with a Chinese Android head unit and it worked great even in -25C.
Great car I bought one for my son to learn in it was written off from hail damage but still driving when checking it out found the power steering pump leaking and it screwed the alltinator so after a decent clean and the parts and service materials it owed me just under 3k with rego included, drives beautiful..I found a Bluetooth phone/media device that plugs into the original stereo and works with the steering wheel stereo buttons awesome so it's safe for the kid .I wish I had it when I was learning.
Uk driver here. 4 accords in the family car history. All gave us minimal grief. We only ever did oil and filter changes and once in a blue moon air and cabin filters. Ran like a dream. Clocked many hundred thousand miles on them. You get plenty of tech across the model range - features that made bmw and mercedes interiors look really bland. Get yourself a 2.4 EX and you're in for a treat. Timing chain too so no worries about belts for a lifetime!
I owned a 2005 K20A6 2.0 litre Manual for 14 years here in the UK in Opal mist green, I miss the car , I traded for a mk5 CRV 1.5T manual , quality wise the Accord beats the CRV all day long on the interior the Accord was so well made, CRV a bit cheap , foolishly I traded the Accord because the ABS module went out and it failed its MOT the underside was starting to rust fairly badly at the rear and the windscreen had a leak which could not be located which soaked the passenger side curtain airbag in heavy rain. Never had any reliability issues in 14 years of ownership apart from a new battery, servicing every year was minimal , Oil changed every year spark plugs regapped and air filter replaced it did not need major servicing and it was an easy car to work on, the drop links at all four corners wore out fairly quickly every 2 years I could never understand it, the car came new with 17 inch wheels which in a straight line made the car wander from left to right on uneven surfaces so I fitted 16 inch wheels with narrower tyres and it solved the issue and the car drove so much smoother for it, the 17 inch wheels do not suit this car but they did look nicer the intake valves needed to be reset at 85,000 miles as they started to get tappy on a warm engine. The car kept the original clutch all through my ownership over 100k miles pretty impressive but the thrust bearing needed to be replaced at 90k miles as it went dry and started to groan, Handbrake needed attention every year the mechanism needed constant greasing otherwise the rear brake pads bound on the discs and wore out quickly. The Accord was the only car I ever kept for any length of time I normally traded every 4 years but the Accord was such a beautiful car I wanted to keep it and look after it and the K series engine was one of the best out of all the nineteen Hondas I have every owned.
I drive mine mostly in the city and get it serviced every 5k - it’s done 258,000 ks and still runs like a new car. I get the auto serviced every 40k, smooth as. Had to replace some mechanical items but that’s normal wear and tear. The drive train is bulletproof. I run ContiSports - putting on decent tyres makes a big difference and the previous owner installed Pedders lower springs and a camber kit - this thing would be great on a race track, it handles and corners so well
Enjoyed your video. I own one of those Accord 2.4 AT (I'm in EU), from 2004, now after 20 years and 316.000 km it runs as well as when it was new. Just yesterday I went for a 200 km drive with only 7.05 l/100km gas consumption. Recently I replaced the wheels with the same original ones. It's an incredibly well-made and enjoyable car. If I could I would buy exactly the same one today again. Unfortunately, CO2 regulations (in the city) are killing those great engines. But they pollute the same on the motorway as today's complex gadget-cars.
How did you guys not put this on your underrated cars for under 15k unless your putting it on the luxury cars list? As you said Adam it is a beautiful looking car and there was a teacher at my high school when I went there who owned one and with the way she drove it and treated it I think almost any other car would've died from that sort of treatment. Have you guys had any luck tracking down a Genesis or Infinitis too review yet or are you saving them for a special occasion? Hoping to get a couple of the shirts from the merch store as well as a keyring this weekend . Also wondering out of curiosity if you'll be doing any limit edition signed merch by any chance? Highly recommend! Very stylish economical nice riding cars. Did 50,000 kms in my 2007 Euro L, only issue I had was a failed coil at 217,000 kms. Then got a 2010 Camry, 70,000 kms zero issues, now a V6 Maxima. Probably the three most reliable cars ever made. Don't want problems? Go old school sedan.
Is yours the 2.4ltr 4cyl model? I’m looking at a one owner 2012 model with 230,000kms. I’m not sure, as I need a car I’ll still get at least 150k out of. Do you think it would get another 150k? I’d rather ask owners, as they normally give honest feedback, not crap like car salesman.
@@kel06901 yeah the DOHC K series 2.4. If it’s been loved and maintained I think you shouldn’t have any engine issues. Things like bushings and what not will be getting on though.
I had Honda motorcycles for 50 years and gave em heaps. They never let me down so I looked at buying a Euro, couldn't afford it at the time but I believe it would be grand. Mate, you do do a great show.
The front bumper sags but it's easy to fix, around 20-40 bucks The hub bearings are weak mostly on the right side The VSA/ABS modules are sometimes problem And if a light bulb in the front of the car goes bad and you have to change it.. it is difficult to do Owning an 06 Accord sedan executive ✌

Amazing car! Just few bad points. 45 amp battery too small for that car, actually for cold start at winter. I did change for 75 amp and it's a game changer. Another bad point, lower ball joints. The accord have very good insulation of doors and all car. So you wouldn't be able to hear any nock or bang from suspension. That's why lower ball joints just pop out. So watch out them, exactly after market parts. I would recomend from Honda dealer Otherwise amazing car.

I have a 2004. Only issue in 150,000km was the starter motor, which was a cheap replacement. Car has been beaten up by bad drivers hitting it while parked and had to sit in a driveays for 2 years during lockdown, but other than a few scars, the car is a tough beast. Best engine Honda ever made IMO. They dont make cars of this quality anymore sadly. Definitely a good buy under $10k. Im looking at getting a new ute now, but wont sell my Honda, Im going to use it as a hobby/learning car and fix it up.
I am stateside so the one that's been my daily driver for a decade now is a 2010 Acura TSX Tech Package (meaning it has virtually every option available for the car less the optional v6 engine and the SH-AWD system that were offered). I picked it up as a low mileage trade-in when it was 2 yrs old in 2012. I agree with you that it terribly underappreciated. It has been an absolutely phenomenal vehicle for me. Mind you, I'm completely neurotic about getting the required preventative maintenance done on time, but that has resulted in me owning a car with 231,000+ miles on it (369,900+ kilometers) without a single warning light lit on the dash that I would not hesitate to drive utterly anywhere there are roads. It's fixing to get replaced with a 2022 TLX Type S and the TSX (Accord Euro) will get passed down to my daughter as a first car. Probably THE best vehicle I have ever owned to this point. Here's hoping its younger cousin treats me as good! Great review. More people should know how outstanding of a product Honda had on their hands with this one. 😊

I drove a manual version years ago, and it stayed with me as the nicest shifting car I’ve driven.
That’s not saying much as I’ve only driven about 3 manual cars, but it gave me a big smile driving it. It still makes me happy thinking about it.
They shift amazing. I had an 08 TL Type S 6 speed and honestly, the TSX shifts, handles and drives just as good. They’re just hard to find since they’re bombed out most of the time.

Wish you would have found me when researching for this video! Bought mine new in California December of 2004 with 5 miles on it. It now has 607,000 miles (almost 1,000,000 Km) on it. It still has the original drive train with no rebuilds. It's been a great cars & have never let me down. Just took it on a 9,000 mile cross country road trip last summer & no mechanical issues. I have some videos documenting the car. The car has been serviced by my local dealer it's entire life. Quick tip for your future videos of what to look for when checking for accident history... each panel has a VIN label on it in the jambs. If you cant find the VIN label, the panel has been replaced.
This sums the car up in one paragraph, brilliant! There are a few stories of these hitting silly miles like the Acura driver being given a new one as a trade in for his 1 millian mile example.
The car in video is so clean you can't even tell it is almost 20 years old. Honda built this car with no costs to spare and it shows and kuddos to the owner the way he kept it with love and care
K24A3 is one of the best engines; 6SP Man or even the 5AT is decent with sequential mode. Springs/Coilovers; Modulo/Mugen kit; wheels & a the infamous reflash tune. You will have a lovely comfortable car with some of the best shifting & handling; the aftermarket support is insane. You can get very decent NA power out of these engines very easily. They are such a wonderful car.
Another thing to add is type r short gear ratios.

You can get decent na power very easily. No it's not easy and it's fucking expensive. You can chip most cars this car can't be chipped and you can't put a turbo on it either. You'll need a k20 head. Getting decent power out of the k24a3 will cost you about 4k usd
You can turbo it; been done plenty of times it won't be as cheap but that's not NA is it... You can do NA bolt ons for probably around $3000 AUD all up at the higher end; and walk out with 200+ ATW easily; throw in those short gear ratios from the CL7 or a Type-R and you dog walk most other cars in that class; just go look at KiwiCarLifes comparison videos don't think he lost a rolling race at all. The most expensive thing will be the gearset. 200 ATW for an NA car you can buy from anywhere between literally 3-10k depending on condition, kms etc is great. Not to mention the handling and suspension; which is already great stock and is not expensive to improve either. Enjoy ur chip tuned gti and the 20k you spent on it
Owned two and loved them both, great cars and severely underrated. Both were super reliable and will never let you down if you just maintain scheduled servicing.

I own a 2005 auto, and truly one of the all time greats from Honda. Classy without being flashing, sporty yet understated; I get frequent compliments on this car. It's that just right size compact, midsize-ish that provides good space and threads corners with confidence It's sporty nature is really complimented by quality tires and true rims. This review is spot on. Kudos.
From the form, shape to the shutlines, this car wa like from the future at the time, loved mine.

I currently own a later model - the 2012 Accord Euro Luxury - and yes, they are an excellent car to drive. It even has paddle shifters but I rarely use them. One bad experience I had with it had more to do with my local Honda dealer who couldn't diagnose a problem to save their life. My power steering died and the local Honda dealer diagnosed the problem as the power steering rack. Cost to replace...$2,900! Wanting a 2nd opinion I went to a local mechanic who said it was the power steering module. He replaced the module for just $600. Problem fixed. I don't use Honda dealer service centres anymore.

One item I don't recall seeing you cover and is very much a lesser known feature is the AUX button the dash. On alot of models, the button has no function, however behind that large storage space below the dash (it slides out easily) there is a plug for a variety of aftermarket accessories. It is very obvious once you access that space and seems to serve no other purpose. You can then add in iPhone chargers, 3.5mm headphone line IN jacks, USB etc. and that then functions on the AUX mode. From memory the cords can even be fed back through a small hole in the storage bin.
I have a Euro R Honda Accord, the Year is 2003. And YES, she really is a GEM of a car! Her colour is Silver Grey, and I call her "Silver Bullet!" The Recaro seats are so comfortable! She is well-cared for and loved!
I recently bought a 2011 accord euro CU2 luxury-best car I’ve ever owned and driven in 35 years.6 speed manual is awesome,plenty of power when you need it,good fuel economy if your not too heavy on the accelerator,the quality of build and handling is unbelievable.And the tuning potential with the K-24 is amazing.
12:52 Sorry if you mention this later, but be sure to get down and check that the plastic underbody cover isn't sagging or damaged. I've found it to be quite common amongst any accord models that have done >200xxxkms, the plastic thread that holds the cover in place gets buzzed against the bolts from engine vibration and eventually drops out of place, usually behind the front bumper. The cover itself is a dirt cheap part and very simple to replace yourself if you have access to a hoist, the parts that it protects from road splash and debris can be a different story if the cars been driven with damaged covers.
If you come across one with a badly damaged or sagging cover, ask where it's been parked overnight and if they say grass, keep your wallet in your pocket until you've done a thorough check for rust.
My 2012 TSX Wagon with 70k on the clock is a real jewel....some of Honda's best engineering, superb build quality and as rare as an NSX in my Philly area. I treat it and maintain it like the fine machine it is; and have no doubt that the motor is good for 250k miles at least. The paddle shifters in Sport mode make the 5 speed auto more entertaining, but it's a great highway cruiser with an excellent double wishbone suspension....love it!
Manual TSX driver over here. Engines are easily modified, reliable after effing with them, and hold up to hard revving and track days. What’s not to like? Granted, it’s not fast by modern standards, but slap coil overs, valves, pistons, throttle a tune and header, and they really sing! ☺️

Thanks for the fine presentation. I own one here in Canada that is Acura TSX 2005. Mine is 6 speed manual transmission and I love this car the way it looks and drives. I really take care of this car and it's in mint condition. No rust and accident free. It's my weekend car and I don't drive it for my daily commute. For that I drive a 09 Civic. I don't drive it much in winter when roads are salt covered. I bought it used in 2013 @ 92,0000 km on it. I never spent any major money on maintenance until last year when my clutch plate worn out. I got new clutch @ 190,000 km that costed me $1600. Now last month check engine light popped up and I was told my timing chain tensioner was worn out. I got it replaced by certified Honda mechanic that costed me $1200. Now no problem to mention except you mentioned this car has power steering problems. Mine works fine except there's is very slight leak in rack and pinion power steering assembly and I just need to watch the power steering fluid level. I need add the power steering fluid twice a year. I was told by my mechanic keep driving it until it needs changed and that will be a $1200 job. So far so good. I can get $6000 in today's market for my car @ 200,000 km on it but I am not letting it go. I love this car 🚗. This car is my baby! This has always been my favourite Accord and if I hadn't been lucky enough to find a CH1, this would likely have been my garage. Somehow the Premium in black with its standard rims is, to me, one of the best looking sedans ever made.
Im an international student and owned 2 2004 automatic Euros till now (clocked around 50k in two years of ownership). Brilliant car for its price and man the engine is one gem. Brings the balance between comfort cruising and power when demanded. common issues i had was
1. power steering failure ( used to lock when turing roundabout) .
2. central locking system ( especially the left side door fails to lock)
3. right side door window motor ( very common in all Honda)
4. engine light & tcs warning, when this popsup the acceralation or performance of the engine gets limited ( due to throttle or accelation sensor).
But hey, the above mentioned issues cost you around 1K and the parts are easily available in wreking areas. since we came to know the common issues very soon, i have recommended this car to my friends and we have 4 of this car in our gang. such a wonderful car for first time buyers in second-hand market.
I‘ve had this car for 7 years and it was just perfect - the best purchase ever. If I could buy it again I wouldn‘t doubt a second.

I agree that this was a game changer. It’s still a desirable car till this day! I’ve owned 3, currently on my 4th CL9 all manual. I will always have a soft spot for this car!
One thing that should be mentioned is that the CL9 only came with 4 speakers not 6! The rear door speakers are blank which is sad… I fitted mine with an aftermarket sound system with apple CarPlay/Android auto and I am more in love with the car 😀
I am on my 3rd CL9 Acura TSX. My first two were automatics and they were fantastic, reliable, comfortable cars. They really are just the perfect daily driver. My current TSX is a 6 Speed manual. Both of my first TSXs were traded in for manual NEW cars. The first was traded on a 2015 Mazda 6 manual that I hated and instantly regretted buying. Fortunately, it was written off due to a flood in the first year I owned it so I immediately went out and bought my 2nd TSX. I really wanted a manual but I couldn't find one. I came across a perfect low mileage, old lady owned, garaged automatic and snatched it up. I will say that as much fun as my current manual is, the automatics were very pleasant to drive and perfectly reliable. 3 years later I traded it on a 2018 US Honda Accord with the 2.0t and 6 speed. That car was also fantastic but not as charming and endearing as these CL9s. The CL9 is pretty much the last of the Golden Era Hondas, in my opinion. One issue that was not mentioned (i have experienced this with all 3 of my CL9s) is the seat belt buckles have a sensor inside that fails and triggers the airbag light. I also replaced motor mounts, and the AC compressors are known to fail on earlier cars. My current TSX is a 2005 with 174000 miles and I would not hesitate to drive it across the united states. Its definitely one of the best cars I have ever owned.

My dad owned two Accords. His first one was an '85 model. He had a carburetor problem that was resolved by the mechanic pulling it apart, cleaning it and putting it back together again.
He traded that one 10 years later and 300,000kms for a '95model. I don't know why because it still drove like it was just run in. He did less kilometres in the '95 ( I can't remember how many), but it still drove like a brand new car when he sold it. Not one single repair had been done in the time that he owned it. My mum owns a 90 something Civic and it's the same. Faultless.
The only thing that I would say about them is that they are as boring as bat 5h!t to drive. They just work and nothing more. Now that I'm a grumpy old man, it's exactly the car that I would reccomend.
Awesome review! Another thing to add is that you can get an ECU reflash for these for around $400 that lower the Vtec engagement, bring the redline up to nearly 8,000 RPM and give you a 1-1 throttle ratio! Makes them properly comparable to an equal age type R model in terms of straight line speed.

@@lordoftherims436I have the cl9, an 05 one and kflash with it's close loop is a better choice in my opinion. so I have kflash retune, serge bo headers, shortshifter, intake resonator delete, hi flow cat, 1:1 throttle setup and I'm looking for typer r gearset and em2 clutch master cylinder, 06-08 tsx intake camshaft or dic from drag cartel, maybe k20 flywheel and clutch
Great review. Our family has both this the CL9 Euro (2007), and next gen CU2 Euro (2012). Both cars are 6 speed manuals and base models and have been with us for many years. Neither has had any major repairs, just servicing and affordable consumable parts like the odd bushing, starter motor, ignition coil, and door lock actuator. The build quality is superb, as is the smoothness and performance of the powertrain. Mid 9s fuel economy is realistic for suburban driving. Only issue is bleaching of paint in the Milano Red CL9. It turns pink due to our harsh UV, but otherwise the clear coat is holding up well. Bleaching only seems to occur with this pigment.
We also own a Milano Pink one. Cannot decide if we should repaint or wrap.

We have an '04 with 300K KM on it. A new clutch is the only major mechanical replacement in our 12+ years of ownership. Touch wood, it's never broken down or left us stranded. We've had to do the normal stuff with those sorts of km's, such as new wheel bearings, an alternator. Other small common issues are broken center console cup holders, central locking latches failing, clutch pedal cylinder squeaking and eventually needing replacement. Specific to our car, ours blows headlight bulbs fairly regularly even after all the normal checks and fixes. OEM Parts are readily and cheaply available, some are much cheaper online (central locking solenoids, alternator).

Bought one of these for 8k NZD about a month back. VERY similar spec too. Same colour and interior, but with nicer wheels and the spoiler you could get.
I'm absolutely loving it. The more I drive it, the more I love it. Can see myself keeping it for a long, long time.
My UK 2.4 Type S is fantastic. A few subtle enhancements has brought it to life. A brilliant chassis, fabulous engine & great looks.
In 2022 it is still THE car I choose to own.
Whoever owns this vehicle has certainly showed care and attention in looking after it. I always liked the model and it was only my lack of finances and the cost of the 'luxury' model which prevented me from buying one.
I still have my 2004 and daily drive it. A very good all rounder car! If you do have a power steering pump issue or leak, it is very easy to rebuild and the seal and bearing kits are available too.
you can nip that issue in the bud / delay it too. Just buy the replacement o-rings from honda for ~$15 and install taking 10min with hand tools
@@BogDog9 I paid $170 for my independent mechanic to do 6 o-ring replacements. Took him under 15mins. Rip money though.

I had a manual facelift CL9. The best car you can get for the money. The only mod I’d recommend is a SergBo reflash.
I couldn't agree more. I'm now on my 2nd Honda Accord, my first was kept for 12 years and then I gave it to a relative. My current Honda Accord is this generation (7th), 2006 2.4i, auto, silver bodywork, black leather interior and honestly there is NOTHING I do not like about it at all. It is absolutely perfect. Mine has every conceivable extra, including Lane Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control (which is brilliant). Bluetooth, Sat/Nav, the lot..... I love it to bits and I actually prefer it to the newer generation (the 8th). I intend looking after this as one as best as I can :)
We had one for 10 years had 60,000 ks on the clock when we bought it.
Fantastic sports sedan. Wish we still had it sold it with 250,000 ks on the clock. Still as good as the day we bought it.
Only thing we had to change was the alternator at 230,000ks.
Had the same beige leather seats still like brand new. We did keep it in a carport.
Love these videos! I owned an Accord Tourer (estate version in Europe) from 2005, Type S with a manual. Very spacious boot, great fun to drive.
There are a few common problems specifically to the tourer with the electric tailgate and gas struts. Mine had both issues and it was pretty expensive to fix. However, I loved the car and still consider it one of the best cars I ever owned.

I've got a 2007 Honda Accord Euro in base trim. It's my 'Sunday' car and doesn't get a hard time. Had it now for 3 years and was the best $8k (Aus. dollar) I ever spent on a car. Superb cruiser on the Highways, fuel economy of 6.8 litres/100km, and goes great on some of my local 'twisties' in the Hunter Valley of NSW, when I decide to 'give it a squirt'. An absolute delight to drive, Honda really made great cars from this era. It's a keeper. 🙂
Love my 2006 TSX! Uses no oil and has had all regular service done since new. Runs extremely well!
I feel like this car was designed to lure away people shopping for C-class & 3 series and perhaps the A4 too, with the price of this entry level Honda Accord being $10-12K cheaper than its European rivals.

We only got the 6sp manual with the K24 engine. All k20's had a 5speed (UK) Brilliant cars though, bullet proof if you treat them well.
I’m in the US but I just bought a 2008 Honda Accord for $3200. The mileage is up there at 230,000, but it’s mechanically and cosmetically excellent. I’m so excited to start modding it, especially a quick flash to increase redline and move up VTEC engagement.

I have had a euro for years now it's a 2004 and has over five hundred thousand KLMs on it replaced the obvious, batt , tyres, etc , motor still is whisper quiet, and does not use oil , thanks to penrite oil synthetic 5, 40 this car is unstoppable
I rented one of these, a 2006 Euro, for a month while between daily drivers about two years ago. To be honest, I didn't want to return it at the end of that month! While it was a bit smaller than what I was used to driving, it was fuel efficient, comfortable, quick, and an all round pleasure to drive - particularly over long distances! I really enjoyed driving that car, and if I had to put my wife into a daily driver car, this vehicle would top my list as a great handling, safe, reliable, classy and understated ride.
My 2006 TSX just hit 107K miles and drives like brand new. It's only broken down one time and that was due to a bad ignition coil 4 years ago, which was $150 part and $100 labor to fix. The bluetooth even works...(if you have a flip phone) but it cannot handle the newer iPhone bluetooth. Aux cable fixes that and plays music and takes calls. Thanks for this review TSX / Accord Euro is a GEM.

The accord euro is a great car. Probably the best Honda family car ever made. It is very well rounded. Comes with a good reliable engine, cruise control, dual climate control and heated seats in the luxury version. It looks really well, drives really well and is built really well. I have personally owned over 15 cars and this is definately in my top 3. One of the weak points in the car however is the power steering pumps, they tend to go bad after 150000kms.
Bloody good review...thanks! Regarding the ants mentioned at 13:00. An old mate of mine (RIP Shamus) who was a very switched on mechanic, once told me that ants in Darwin love electrical looms on some brands of car (he mentioned Ford Falcons). He reckoned a common fix was to give all the wiring a good squirt of silicone spray to make it less palatable to the little buggers. One of the foibles of life in the tropics. :)

A young neighbour had one for the year he was there. Only issue was headlights not working (can't recall if it was high or low beam). He pulled the steering column switch unit out and we cleaned the contact and applied a thin smear of dielectric grease and she was sorted. Nice looking car.
I owned a 2004 Acura TSX here in Canada. The TSX offers so much...fuel economy, luxury, great style and reliability, all at an affordable price. My TSX had bullet proof reliability. My only complaint was the seats. I don't know if I ever adjusted them properly, but they gave me the worst back aches. I now own a 2010 North American model Honda Accord and no more back pain. Seats are firm and provide plenty of support. Incidently, the 2.4 l 4 cylinder engine in my Accord looks identical to the one I had in my TSX.
Excellent review. I have owned my Accord Euro new since 2007. I agree with so many of the comments that your made. I really do recommend this car. You mentioned at the start of the video that the Hondamatic transmission is actually different from 'normal' automatics, but did not explain why later in the video. I am actually really interested, what makes the transmission different?

My Father bought this dream of a Car in 2004 and after he cannot drive in 2014, I got it. So after ten years, or 20 total, this Car is in a really good shape! So underrated on german Autobahn..... I will never replace ist, until it is a wreck...

My daily driver is a 2006 base model euro with the 6 speed manual. Despite having almost 300,000km on it the car is still in excellent shape both mechanically and cosmetically.
Even with a bit of spirited driving I average about 8l per 100km.
Hands down the best car I have ever had.

We had one of these (Accord Euro), it was a really good car, incredible value for money.
I have a 06 tsx with a little over 200k miles owned it for +8 years and absolutely love it with the exception of the leather seats
I purchased a CL9 Accord Euro 6 speed manual last year.
Honda makes some of the nicest feeling manual transmissions in the world. The Euro was especially nice and had a very forgiving clutch.
Very good car if you're looking for something around 10k for a clean one.
If you're looking at the "Luxury" version look carefully at the carpets to ensure they're not wet. These have issues where the sunroofs are not maintained correctly by owners. The drains will get blocked very easily. They should be cleaned monthly with warm soapy water.
Fantastic car but I found it's very hard to find new parts in Australia. So expect to be using used parts to maintain the car.
Parts are much easier to find in Japan and the USA.
I own a 2010 cu2 accord euro auto (2008-2015 model) bought in 21’. I just needed a reliable car at the time and it has not skipped a beat. However these cars are notorious for being easy to rollback the odo, it was said at 115k km however judging by the wear on the vehicle i would say its about 300k km, so ensure the wear on the vehicle matches, roughly, the odo and the log book is with the car.
That being said again i dont own this model i own the later model. I have the base model and it comes with dual zone climate (driver side heating broken tho) a 10 speaker audio system and a very strong driver terrain (im a p plater, ask me how i know). All in all a great car and no regrets buying it.
Had the sport version with the 6 speed aluminium gear knob. One of the best cars I’ve ever owned. Brilliantly engineered. Wish I still had it.
I've owned a 2.0 and 2.4 type s petrol. Both excellent .2.4 put a lot of top motors to shame 8 years 130k of perfect reliability and great handling / performance good economy considering performance.

Alternators dying? That’s interesting I’ve never heard that one before. My 08 with 176,000 miles is still running the OEM alternator, given that’s only one example. I’ve owned my car for 7 years now been on the tsx forums and don’t recall alternator issues.
Failing A/C compressors absolutely, mine hasn’t yet though. Axle issues, 04-05 oil consumption issues,
My first car in high school was sa 2006 tsx. I drove into a truck and totalled it...got a 2008 tsx. A few years later, got a B8.5 S4 and my mom took the tsx. My s4 was in the shop and I drove the tsx for 2 weeks...162k miles and still one of the smoothest driving experiences I've ever had. I still absolutely recommend this car. My parents are always on top of service, and it has rewarded them handily.
I wanted a bigger daily and got a 2003 Wagon recently since I've always loved how these looked since i remember them coming out. Was shocked to learn they are 20 years old
I had a 2007 Accord Type S and it was a fantastic and comfortable car to drive. Didn't have any issues with it other than the factory radio unit died and the steering wheel buttons didn't work when the interior was below freezing. When it warmed up they started working again. I replaced the factory head unit it with a Chinese Android head unit and it worked great even in -25C.
Great car I bought one for my son to learn in it was written off from hail damage but still driving when checking it out found the power steering pump leaking and it screwed the alltinator so after a decent clean and the parts and service materials it owed me just under 3k with rego included, drives beautiful..I found a Bluetooth phone/media device that plugs into the original stereo and works with the steering wheel stereo buttons awesome so it's safe for the kid .I wish I had it when I was learning.

Uk driver here. 4 accords in the family car history. All gave us minimal grief. We only ever did oil and filter changes and once in a blue moon air and cabin filters. Ran like a dream. Clocked many hundred thousand miles on them. You get plenty of tech across the model range - features that made bmw and mercedes interiors look really bland. Get yourself a 2.4 EX and you're in for a treat. Timing chain too so no worries about belts for a lifetime!
I used to own one of theese for about 6 years and it was just...working.
I sold it at 400.000kms with plenty of life in it.

I owned a 2005 K20A6 2.0 litre Manual for 14 years here in the UK in Opal mist green, I miss the car , I traded for a mk5 CRV 1.5T manual , quality wise the Accord beats the CRV all day long on the interior the Accord was so well made, CRV a bit cheap , foolishly I traded the Accord because the ABS module went out and it failed its MOT the underside was starting to rust fairly badly at the rear and the windscreen had a leak which could not be located which soaked the passenger side curtain airbag in heavy rain. Never had any reliability issues in 14 years of ownership apart from a new battery, servicing every year was minimal , Oil changed every year spark plugs regapped and air filter replaced it did not need major servicing and it was an easy car to work on, the drop links at all four corners wore out fairly quickly every 2 years I could never understand it, the car came new with 17 inch wheels which in a straight line made the car wander from left to right on uneven surfaces so I fitted 16 inch wheels with narrower tyres and it solved the issue and the car drove so much smoother for it, the 17 inch wheels do not suit this car but they did look nicer the intake valves needed to be reset at 85,000 miles as they started to get tappy on a warm engine. The car kept the original clutch all through my ownership over 100k miles pretty impressive but the thrust bearing needed to be replaced at 90k miles as it went dry and started to groan, Handbrake needed attention every year the mechanism needed constant greasing otherwise the rear brake pads bound on the discs and wore out quickly. The Accord was the only car I ever kept for any length of time I normally traded every 4 years but the Accord was such a beautiful car I wanted to keep it and look after it and the K series engine was one of the best out of all the nineteen Hondas I have every owned.
I drive mine mostly in the city and get it serviced every 5k - it’s done 258,000 ks and still runs like a new car. I get the auto serviced every 40k, smooth as. Had to replace some mechanical items but that’s normal wear and tear. The drive train is bulletproof. I run ContiSports - putting on decent tyres makes a big difference and the previous owner installed Pedders lower springs and a camber kit - this thing would be great on a race track, it handles and corners so well
Enjoyed your video. I own one of those Accord 2.4 AT (I'm in EU), from 2004, now after 20 years and 316.000 km it runs as well as when it was new. Just yesterday I went for a 200 km drive with only 7.05 l/100km gas consumption. Recently I replaced the wheels with the same original ones. It's an incredibly well-made and enjoyable car. If I could I would buy exactly the same one today again. Unfortunately, CO2 regulations (in the city) are killing those great engines. But they pollute the same on the motorway as today's complex gadget-cars.
How did you guys not put this on your underrated cars for under 15k unless your putting it on the luxury cars list?
As you said Adam it is a beautiful looking car and there was a teacher at my high school when I went there who owned one and with the way she drove it and treated it I think almost any other car would've died from that sort of treatment.

I own euro and loved it, i like the simple that it is, radio controls, handle parking brake and so.
Highly recommend! Very stylish economical nice riding cars. Did 50,000 kms in my 2007 Euro L, only issue I had was a failed coil at 217,000 kms. Then got a 2010 Camry, 70,000 kms zero issues, now a V6 Maxima. Probably the three most reliable cars ever made. Don't want problems? Go old school sedan.
Had a TSX for 4 years. I miss it so much. Great entry level sports sedan.

Is yours the 2.4ltr 4cyl model? I’m looking at a one owner 2012 model with 230,000kms. I’m not sure, as I need a car I’ll still get at least 150k out of. Do you think it would get another 150k? I’d rather ask owners, as they normally give honest feedback, not crap like car salesman.
@@kel06901 yeah the DOHC K series 2.4. If it’s been loved and maintained I think you shouldn’t have any engine issues. Things like bushings and what not will be getting on though.
I had Honda motorcycles for 50 years and gave em heaps. They never let me down so I looked at buying a Euro, couldn't afford it at the time but I believe it would be grand. Mate, you do do a great show.

The front bumper sags but it's easy to fix, around 20-40 bucks
The hub bearings are weak mostly on the right side
The VSA/ABS modules are sometimes problem
And if a light bulb in the front of the car goes bad and you have to change it.. it is difficult to do

Amazing car! Just few bad points. 45 amp battery too small for that car, actually for cold start at winter. I did change for 75 amp and it's a game changer. Another bad point, lower ball joints. The accord have very good insulation of doors and all car. So you wouldn't be able to hear any nock or bang from suspension. That's why lower ball joints just pop out. So watch out them, exactly after market parts. I would recomend from Honda dealer

I have a 2004. Only issue in 150,000km was the starter motor, which was a cheap replacement. Car has been beaten up by bad drivers hitting it while parked and had to sit in a driveays for 2 years during lockdown, but other than a few scars, the car is a tough beast. Best engine Honda ever made IMO. They dont make cars of this quality anymore sadly. Definitely a good buy under $10k. Im looking at getting a new ute now, but wont sell my Honda, Im going to use it as a hobby/learning car and fix it up.
I am stateside so the one that's been my daily driver for a decade now is a 2010 Acura TSX Tech Package (meaning it has virtually every option available for the car less the optional v6 engine and the SH-AWD system that were offered). I picked it up as a low mileage trade-in when it was 2 yrs old in 2012.
I agree with you that it terribly underappreciated. It has been an absolutely phenomenal vehicle for me. Mind you, I'm completely neurotic about getting the required preventative maintenance done on time, but that has resulted in me owning a car with 231,000+ miles on it (369,900+ kilometers) without a single warning light lit on the dash that I would not hesitate to drive utterly anywhere there are roads.
It's fixing to get replaced with a 2022 TLX Type S and the TSX (Accord Euro) will get passed down to my daughter as a first car. Probably THE best vehicle I have ever owned to this point. Here's hoping its younger cousin treats me as good! Great review. More people should know how outstanding of a product Honda had on their hands with this one. 😊
