- In this episode, we check out the Honda Accord Euro CL9. Growing up, this was one of the cars I definitely wanted to get my hands on. As much as I love sports cars, this never qualified as a sports car in my mind, rather would have just been a great first car. Little did I know, the engine has quite a lot of soul. I don't know much about Honda heritage and have only become a fan of their more recent turbo Civic Type R's, but these machines have so much soul and I'm slowly starting to understand well.
Dan bought his Accord Euro for $5k off the used car lot, ripped out the base spec seats, bolted in a Type R gearbox and made some handling changes. Dan made an active effort to include two resonators along the exhaust to remove the typical Honda Bois sound. Immensely underrated, insanely great value for money, tastefully modified by Dan and not too over the top.
This car is so underrated and it was so much fun. Thanks to Dan for letting me drive his car.

Hondurrr cl9 is timelesss
The CL7 euro R is a lot more fun even though it only has a 2.0L engine. However, it is about 40kg lighter than the CL9 lightest model.
But that 8500rpm rev is exhilarating to drive with less sound deadening than the CL9.

Is it possible to even get this in the US? Pretty sure here in the US we got the Acura TSX 1st Gen was CL9
You could probably import it but it would be pointless, TSX is the US version. The only major difference is the interior , which was shared with the CM6 (7th gen accord) everything else is identical.
@@Tantium we got sunroofs here as well. They're in the luxery spec model. (the one in the video is a base)
Yes same car, but 04-05 and 06-08 have little differences such as different front bumper and different gauge clusters. And also 06-08 are more desireable.
@@dnnknewen The TSX in the US has a K24A2 which makes roughly 10 more HP and slightly less torque compared to the AUDM K24A3
