I remember when i was a kid and ps1 got out. Me and friends all got ps from parents for birthday or Christmas or whatever but one friend sadly didnt. We live in croatia and his parents told him that ps is cheaper in Italy and that they will buy him one when they went to Italy for some things. When they returned they got him a console but it was something like nes but with ps design. Just imagine his face when he pushed the disc tray for first time and beneath was cassette cartridge instead of cd. His whole world collapsed 😬

The delay you mentioned is most probably caused by your TV, because console looks like generic Famiclone we used to know for years. You should grab some CRT TV and try it again, modern TV's have terrible analog-to-digital converters built in.
Anyway quite nice solution to hide cartridge slot under sliding top :D

@@RetroDodo Yes. Its because TV has to upscale the low resolution image to the full screen resolution. Also there are some post processing involved in smart tvs. If your TV has a 'Game Mode', enable it before playing games. it disables additional image processing, thus reducing the lag.

On my smart super HD TV. There's this mode called gaming mode where it lowers down the resolutions and colours for your console which makes it so there's no delay, and more fps.
