I had 3 fake PS4 controllers, all worked perfectly until recently when my PS4 had a firmware update and started complaining the controller "might not be genuine". 2 just stopped working after putting in replacement 2000mah rechargable batteries (this is where the weight difference would come in the fake controllers generally don't even have 800 or 1000mah batteries (depending what revision of official controller you have) but 600mah. While the third just stopped working mid-game. I don't know exactly what killed these controllers even as an IT tech but be warned the fake controllers seem to either commit suicide when you put a replacement part in, have some sort of kill code that kicks in after a set amount of time, or Sony are doing something very, very, dirty and sending a kill signal to any unrecognised wireless controllers paired to the PS4. In protest of what I suspect is likely Sony doing something very underhanded I bought 2 faulty PS4 controllers from ebay for about £25 and repaired them rather than handing over £100 to Sony for 2 new ones.
The only problem I have with these fake PS4 controllers is the sensitive analog sticks. It's hard to aim with first person games. Everything else is great. Sadly, the only things I'm looking for is the accurate analog sticks

Im so tired of original controllers paying over 60euros for them. Each original controller started drifting after some time. I disassembled them several times, cleaned, on one of them I have already replaced and solder the whole stick module. started drifting again after 2 months. So I bought 2 fake ones and lets see how bad its going to be because the original ones are pissing me off.

I'm considering purchasing replacing my real one with a fake one because the fake ones are 1/4 the price. But I don't know how long they'll last. I'm a pretty regular Rocket League players and have been using this real one for four years and only just started having some small issues now with one of the analog sticks seemingly not quite being as accurate as it used to be. If the fake one doesn't last for a year or more with pretty decent use (10-15 hours a week), it won't be worth it. That and I don't know whether the labor used to produce the fake ones isn't just the worst type of exploitative labor possible. At least with the big companies they tend to follow certain labor laws but companies selling fake products might be using slave labor to make them or other exploitative labor.
I got a fake one a couple years ago. It has had the harsh treatment that everyone could accidentally give to any controller (falls, hits out of frustration, etc) and it still works as it did the day I bought it. I know it was fake because it looked just like the one that was tested on this video, and it was called DoubleShock on the box. Battery last for hours, even with the Lightbar and the Vibration working at full power, so that wasn't a problem. There was no Stick Drift at all, even with 2-3 years of use, so that says a lot.

The only thing that has happened so far is the left analog stick covering is now loose. At least it hasn't come off entirely yet.
I bought one for 19$ bucks and it is great quality value for the money, I'm playing Zelda BoTW, Assassin's Creed Origins, Android Games and I'm having a good time, additionally the touchpad is great to control the PC cursor from afar, don't listen to the Sony fan boys and buy one, the real controllers are too expensive imo
The term ""fake"" is loved in the west. We here don't call them that we call them the real priced controllers. The companies make their controllers in the same factories of the ""fake"" ones. They just sell you the brand and name for triple the price.

These fake PS4 controllers remind me of the fake Nintendo Wii/GameCube controllers which look like the Nintendo controllers except they lack the logo and any Nintendo branding. They are cheaper but they usually tend to have poor build quality compared to the genuine controllers. Gaming products is one of thing I would not bargain hunt on especially on PC or headsets. Most of these cheap "gaming" products don't tend to last well compared to mice at $30, headsets at $40, or keyboards at $50 whereas the more expensive name brands like Razer, Corsair, and Logitech can last for months to years, and it's hard to know how well these knock-off controllers may last. The only exception is the Xbox One/Series X|S where the 3rd-party controllers from PDP or PowerA are pretty decent and they're cheaper than the Microsoft controller ($25 vs $60+) even though they're wired. Seems unfortunate that PlayStation doesn't have a cheaper wired alternative like Xbox or even the Nintendo Switch.

I've bought so many PS4 consoles (which ended up being resold as they didn't have the system version I wanted e.g. 9.00 or less) and they all came with a controller(s). One of them was a fake, unfortunately so it was resold, too, albeit at a lower price (it is a fake one after all). I now have an OG PS4 + PS4 Pro with 9.00 so I'm done buying PS4s. 😅

yes you can, it's bluetooth enabled and all you will have to do is enable bluetooth pairing on your PC and the controller and select the controller from the available devices listed on your PC
Have in mind that most of the games on PC were planned with a Xbox controller in mind, so PS4 controller may not work on some games. You can fix that by using either DS4Windows, or running games with Steam, as Steam Input system allows you to even map controller buttons as Keyboard/Mouse inputs.

I dont think i have the fake one even though my one is not from SONY so it doesnt have the logo but i compared everything with my real one which i lost after checking it but they were the same so i dont have a SONY PLAYSTATION one but everything feels the same so mine isnt like a fake one that some random guy made.

It's obviously a fake controller, but there are fake controllers that intentionally try to look like a genuine controller. Some people get fooled by them.
