It's nice to have and assessable starting point for chord soloing… Even if someone doesn't make it more complex you can always add variations with different rhythms and different tone colors by the way you strum and pick the strings.     I am familiar with this chord progression because of Jason Mratz song " I'm yours".....thank you for sharing your knowledge , such a beautiful sounding lick to add to my playing.

      Stu said he was trying for the first variation to sound *like* "I'm Yours!" (I told him in his comment that I thought it sounded like that.)

    Thank you for this lesson. It could also accompany 'I'm Yours' by Jason Mraz. I'm having difficulty with the stretch in the last part of the melody over the F chord. I have resolved this by playing as follows: A-string(8th fret) with C-string (9th fret); A(7th) with C (7th); A (5th) with C(5th).

    Hi! I noticed that at 2:43, you say to go to 5th fret to 7th fret. It's actually 3rd fret to 7th fret. Had to watch it a few times to make sure. Nevertheless, beautiful chord progression. Thank you for the video!

    Nice one. The easiest chord melody is Frere Jacques starting on the 3rd fret of the A string. If you do that and strum the other open strings you get instant chord melody!! :)

      In this video I'm playing a Kala tenor uke with a Cedar top...not sure if they still make this exact model, but if you google those terms you should find something very similar... Thanks for watching!

    Part 1 sounds like "I'm Yours," probably because it uses that progression.
