Hi...you have no idea how inspiring you are. I am a 61 year old female from the UK and I am trying to teach my 11 year old students to play simple songs on the ukulele. I was stuck in the CFGC zone and found it hard to move forward. I found your song about a year ago, tried to play it and gave up. I recently went back to it and love it SO much, it made me come out of my comfort zone, I have persevered and now practise far more chords. I can now play this and am so proud! Thank you so much for your tutorials. x
Learned it in two hours ! Thanks. Note : there if no F at the end (replace it with the basic A to do the weird strumming trick) I took a sheet and noted the ukulele chords because I couldn't remember them.
I watched this when I was first learning the ukulele and gave up shortly cuz of how hard it was at that time, but time passes I came back and learned this song again IT WAS FUN AND I CAN PLAY IT NOW:D
This was super helpful! I'm a self-taught ukulele player and I wasn't exactly sure how to progress from where I was. The strumming patterns especially helped me, and the song is beautiful! Thank you for making this tutorial!
I completely enjoyed and followed this tutorial until about the 12:30 minute mark. he never discussed cord progressions!! which was a little frustrating, just meant I had to look REALLY hard at his fingers while he was playing. I eventually figured it out but it certainly would’ve been helpful if he went over it in the video! lovely song and I’m glad I found it.
I had stopped playing ukulele for about 8 months, but this video appeared in my recommendations, and I think I am back into ukulele now. Thank you so much for rekindling my passion!

Ok, so I'm a newby when it comes to uke playing, & have been watching tons of tutorials. This guy, so far, is my absolute favorite! Your camera angles of what you are doing is spot on. You don't waste MY time with mindless chatter & get to the point. You present the chords & strumming patterns, give helpful hints along the way, & move on to putting it all together... slower speed, then up to tempo. Can't speak for anyone else's learning patterns.... but as for myself, I'm digging your TH-cam teaching style, & look forward to checking out more of your videos (after this lesson sinks in a little more ~ lol). Thank you, for putting in time to do this... I have benefited!!! :)
Love this! The chords are so simple but the way you play is so magical! I am struggling a bit with the quadruplet still, but just want to say that your tutorial is really clear!

Love this sound. Like Buddy the ELF might exclaim, "It really IS the prettiest song in the world!" Wow! We found it! Seriously, a pretty song for sure. We'll be playing it for decades. 🤗
Awesome. I just scored a nice soprano uke and I love it. I grew up thrashing punk rock power chords on my electric guitar and now at 31 I discover my love for this neat lil instrument. Life is funny ain't it? Thanks bud! That strumming technique was super nice!
For the “D” chord you could also take the thumb of your hand that’s holding the ukulele and press it against the 3 strings to make the “D” sound instead of squishing your fingers or awkwardly placing your fingers on the 3 strings while lifting it above the 4th string
Thumb coming over the top of the neck onto the GCE strings? Maybe, but not ideal for changing to other chords after. Using the options I give will take some time and practice to get used to, but it'd definitely doable. Thanks for the suggestion - Kevin

uke is a melody instrument and pupils enjoy finding a single note sequence of a scalic tune like Doh a Deer -so long as they can eventually sing it 1st-The music comes from the stored memories of the hearing memory cortex before getting to the larynx/fingers ,arms which is another story of the rhythmic memory. The skill of teaching it is to instill curiosity in puplis so they learn themselves ad others

Thanks.
Note : there if no F at the end (replace it with the basic A to do the weird strumming trick)
I took a sheet and noted the ukulele chords because I couldn't remember them.
www.allforuke.com/original-songs
Where does the F even come into play??
@@pommom7403 the F is silent
ok
Aha! I was wondering where the "F" was.
12:27 play along
2:10 chords
6:12 strumming patterns
I watched this when I was first learning the ukulele and gave up shortly cuz of how hard it was at that time, but time passes I came back and learned this song again IT WAS FUN AND I CAN PLAY IT NOW:D
Up up down down up up down sideways downways. There you have it pretty song. Rockin!
Aww that makes me feel good! What kind of ukulele do you play? If you like this lesson, there are plenty more at allforuke.com to check out w/ free PDFs ~Kevin

This song has such a lovely sound to it. Started practicing yesterday and got to the point where I wasn't progressing anymore. Picked up the ukulele today and played it right along with you without even looking at the music. Thanks for teaching so clearly and simply such a beautiful song!
If you just wanted to hear the song: 14:12
It’s actually played at 1:12 if you were patient

John Perczyk he legit played it in the first minute. Idiot.

The chord is so simple and the song is so relaxing and beautiful!✨
That’s a sweet little song. Thank you.
I played many instruments growing up. Then got busy for 40 years. Now I can relax and am enjoying learning a NEW instrument. The ukulele.
Who knew how fun they are!!!
I started To help with a brain injury. Not sure it’s hellping my brain yet tho lol. But I’m having fun. Thank you for taking the time to share ur talent 😊
Hey Sharon - I truly believe that playing music stimulates the mind/brain in a positive way. I'm so happy to have you in the AllForUke fam and hope you'll check out some of my other lessons. I have a new series called "Kickstart" on my channel that will help you get through all of the foundational chords and strums. Check it out and keep in touch ~Kevin
I WATCH THIS MANS VIDEOS EVERYDAYYYY HE IS THE ONLY TEACHER I WILL ALLOW MYSELF TO HAVE!!🌟
That’s one of the cutest songs I’ve ever heard.
Could you put the notes that your playing while you play the actual song? So we can follow along without getting lost :)
Hey Bree - there is a free pdf for this song if you’d like to check it out. Link in description. This was an earlier video before we started adding play along chords. All the new ones have chords during the play alongs if you’re interested in checking those out. Thanks for watching - Kevin

AllForUke I don’t understand how to see the song sheet, I click on the link and it brings me to a website and I made an account and I don’t know how to use it. I just want to read the notes and play along
Hey, I can also Not get the Song sheet from the Website.. I come always back to „ create Account“ Website - while i am still loged in..:(
I like the staccato strum with the thumb following. That's tricky and has a great sound. Thanks for showing how to do it.
The ddud strumming pattern is so beautiful. Once I got the hang of it I just started playing random chords and appreciating it.

I just bought my grandbaby a ukulele because I was learning to play the guitar. Now after listening to this, I want to play the ukulele. And I want to play this song too. You’re right, it’s a beautiful song and thanks for teaching us!❤️🙏🌹🎸
Thank you for playing the song FIRST, and then teaching it. Many people on TH-cam jump into the lesson with no demo.
When I just started ukulele I thought I would never learn this beautiful song but now I know how to
That is a very pretty song. Can't wait to learn it"!
Thanks for the comprehensive song tutorial! Was up and playing the full thing smoothly in 20ish minutes. For future reference, I think it would help beginners if you put up the chords whilst doing the play along. Other people also might find it helpful if you put a summary of each section and then combine the summaries at the end as well.

What a beautiful Music Teacher. Precise instructions clear examples the confidence you have installed through clear instructions has the boys grabbing instruments through watching 1 video. I wish you all the best. God bless.

Ik it’s a little harder to edit it in but putting the the chords on screen synchronized with the play along is like a teacher giving you a study guide only to give you all the answers then let you use it on the test. It saves time and makes my life a whole lot easier. Easy A
Love this sound. Like Buddy the ELF might exclaim, "It really IS the prettiest song in the world!"
Wow! We found it!
Seriously, a pretty song for sure. We'll be playing it for decades.

Awesome. I just scored a nice soprano uke and I love it. I grew up thrashing punk rock power chords on my electric guitar and now at 31 I discover my love for this neat lil instrument. Life is funny ain't it? Thanks bud! That strumming technique was super nice!
STOP HATING THIS GUY IS A GOOD PERSON SHOWING US AUDIENCE HOW TO DO THIS GOD DAMN SONG apart from that it was great
For the “D” chord you could also take the thumb of your hand that’s holding the ukulele and press it against the 3 strings to make the “D” sound instead of squishing your fingers or awkwardly placing your fingers on the 3 strings while lifting it above the 4th string
Thumb coming over the top of the neck onto the GCE strings? Maybe, but not ideal for changing to other chords after. Using the options I give will take some time and practice to get used to, but it'd definitely doable. Thanks for the suggestion - Kevin
This reminds me of a song in a tv show/movie where a couple or two best friends are walking around the town or fair or something having a great time

i just bought a ukulele and this is the second song i’ve learned so far. great job teaching the notes and the strum patterns! i learned quickly. however, it would have been a lot more helpful if you had kinda played and taught the order of the notes in the song. it took me forever to figure out when and where the F chord is being played lol

Would be more helpful to have the chord patterns up during the “play along” portion so we can follow more closely. There are a bunch of new chords being learned for us beginners. Can’t pick it up that fast.

uke is a melody instrument and pupils enjoy finding a single note sequence of a scalic tune like
Doh a Deer -so long as they can eventually sing it 1st-The music comes from the stored memories of the hearing memory cortex before getting to the larynx/fingers ,arms which is another story of the rhythmic memory.
The skill of teaching it is to instill curiosity in puplis so they learn themselves ad others
