i personally love the manual floor shift for the 4x4 i feel more sure that its in when i need it rather than relying on a little solenoid that goes bad all the time :)
i agree, i hate push button specifically for that reason. Each time you push it its like holding your breath.. will it shift the t case or not.

I build transmissions for a living. I can tell Mark knows what he is doing! There are so many hacks out there that will throw crap in a case and call it a rebuild. They will get top dollar for their junk too. Just because you pay a lot for a transmission does NOT mean its good. Do your home work before you buy. Keep up the good work Mark!

It’s great to see you document the builds of your transmission. I just had my built last week with a 1074-3D suncoast convertor, Billet input shaft trans go shift kit and schaeffers synthetic transmission oil.
A built transmission? lol. Of course it is built. If it wasn't, it would be un-built and just a box of parts.

I couldn't be happier with my tcase mark built for me after watching your vid on the tcase swap, I called Mark right away. Mark is a stand up guy and his customer service is top notch. When I called him he didn't have a tcase available yet, he informed me he had a truck on the lot he could pull and have built up for me by the end of the day. He came through as he promised, I drove up there and picked it up and dropped my core off after I did the install. Again Mark is great and was a huge help in getting my truck back on the road. Kodiak trucks is the place to go for your truck needs hands down.

The last time I was looking at a truck with a 'built transmission' what the seller actually meant was built by the factory and bone stock while he was looking for $15K extra for a truck waaay over on mileage. I had to run from that deal. Total shade show.

You have to respect a guy who will turn away work because he has such pride in his job that he wants to do the full job start to finish to make sure it's done right.
Great content, not only knows the correct way to build a trans. But also knows what it take to install one after the build. Do it right or don’t do it at all. Keep it safe roll on
Bought my 2005 Duramax, had headgasket issues and sure enough 5 days after I got the top end back together, my trans took a shit. Took my truck to PPE in Los Angeles, they pulled my trans and it had an unknown brand converter in it. Later found out it was a half assed "build" like this. Stock clutches with a shift kit and aftermarket converter, it smoked the clutches bad with just a 75rwhp tune from danville.

My friend has a business doing 47/48/68 transmissions in the dodges. He spends hundreds of hours a month trying to diagnose installation issues over the phone. When the trans is installed In house they don’t come back

I had this happen to me 15 years ago or so when E-bay was pretty new. Guy was selling pulled transmissions he said they were rebuilt/upgraded. All he did was put a coat of Rust-O-luem on the outside.
I need help. I changed rear main seal on lmm duramax twice and still leaks from bottom bell housing.does rear main plate have a gasket or silicone? Do you have to remove plate and install seal to it then to engine? Please help

Yep I have seen that a few times in the Quad world! I specialize in rebuilding TRX450R engines and they have oil coolers and they're known for crank failures and I have seen guys rebiuld an engine and or buy a rebuild engine install it and then they have metal shaving in their new engine and cloggs up the Oil filter etc. Basically the new engine is ruined or needs to be torn 100% Down again to be flushed and cleaned!
How about Biodiesel? I ran it in my 2001&2008 with no problems and was cheap. With the modern emissions and crap on these trucks can they handle biodiesel at B100

Shifts are much crisper and it’s can handle the power due to increased oil flow

Wish guys like this did my $5000 E40D in my F550 that lasted 2 blocks @ 25mph.... Got stuck in Texas for 3 months trying to get my truck driving again... Did a ZF6 swap in a parking lot of an autobody shop that i traded my painting skills on a harley for the owner...

Hi I have a Hino truck with 2200 RDS ALLISON transmission has a problem
So I sent it to the transmission shop and has been a month since I sent it there
And when I call they said Allison factory shot down because of COVID 19
Then they said we will put a rebuild parts
What should I do??????

When someone refers to their rig as 'Built', it usually means that it's been upgraded from stock or rebuilt by them.

Watching this makes me realise my manual gearbox needs flywheel work, a new bearing, and some return springs. I could get the gearbox from the bigger engine, but flywheel needs surfacing work.

Truckmaster! Follow your videos pretty close and it’s a great channel. Are you familiar with the KB diesel cold pipe? It’s anchor brackets are in front of the y bridge on the thermostat housing. I’m looking for a reputable tuner do you have any places you can recommend that will still do good tunes that hasn’t closed up shop?

Hey man! I just bought a built trans. I’m putting the trans in myself.. should I then flush both my radiator and trans cooler as well. Had trans built by a builder!

At least by doing the install, you guys will know the converter is installed all the way in, and lines/cooler flushed out. If I don't fit trans after rebuild, I insist an external cooler is fitted.
