Man he is quick. Looks like he could of done this with a blind fold. I wish all mechanics were like him. He seems to actually care about the customer. Great work my man!!
I was like whoa whoa whoa, slow down there trigger so us driveway half wits can start on a Friday and hopefully put it in drive before Monday morning 😂🤪.
"Something you can do on a Saturday morning." NOT THIS GUY!!! Haha! Anyway, Excellent video. Did an excellent job explaining his procedure and camera caught all the angles. Top notch.
Great video! Just wish it would have showed more of the disassembly. You have to watch the video at the end just to figure out exactly how it came apart.
I need to find a shop around Tampa or Lakeland FL area that can install this. Not sure I trust myself enough with it after watching that. Trans is still my Achilles heel on every build.
is there a part number or source for the additional "slightly longer", "upgraded" springs, it appears as though they are not a part of the trans-go kit. getting ready to do this myself soon, great video as always.
I've done this kit as well. It's really easy to do so don't be overly worried about. Pay attention, take your time, and it'll be alright. It's way easier than injectors I assure you that. ha ha
wow always been intimidated by transmissions, now i know why , if i get this done professional will do it ! Mark thanks for the in-depth look at the Trans-go Jr kit ! Great Video TM.
Damn, Mark is made for the camera or to teach. He is never searching for the words to describe what he is doing. Thats pretty rare. Most people have long pauses and a bunch of "uhm's".
Till mark thanks from me for his own time he took to show all of us dude it was awesome info I love ur channel note are u going to do more builds bud I know and understand trust me I know it takes time and money to build a truck
Has anyone found a part number or specs for the “upgraded springs “? I installed the kit on my LMM 2 years ago but didn’t see anything about the springs when I did it. About to do it on another truck and curious if they make a difference
I wonder what their opinion is on the tru cool 40k cooler upgrade or transmission cooler upgrades in general. About to start towing a fifth wheel with my lb7 and I’m curious if some extra cooling power would help.
I've had this kit sitting under my back seat for 4 years and I'm still scared to do it. I'm able to rebuild engines but this has me uncomfortable I dont know why...
dhd sells them look up mike L springs dirtyhookerdiesel.com/i-21262955-dhd-rt-a-es-allison-5-6-speed-improved-shift-valve-springs.html dirtyhookerdiesel.com/i-21245091-allison-transmission-high-capacity-mike-l-trim-spring.html
Just did my valve body and solenoids on my 2012 F250 6.7 was shifting hard mostly after a cold soak. I used software called Forscan kinda like a cheaper version of IDS does Chevy have something similar? The truck shifts like new now and i can now run my more aggresive tunes thanks for the vidio and the confidence to take on the project stay safe GOD BLESS!!!!!
@Truck Master....here is a question for Mark....2006 Allison 1000 6 speed, throws a P0761 code for solenoid C when temps are cooler, 40 degrees and below or sitting for months on end in cold temperature (Summer truck).....thoughts? I have some but I would rather hear from "THE Specialist"
The one guy said about an hour on Saturday morning 😂, I’m not fast by no means but if u had every tool u needed sitting on a table right beside u, it would take u every bit of 3 hours maybe 4 if u took the time to clean everything like u should. That’s from the start of the drain till u checked it after u filled it back up and that’s if everything went as planned lol which it nvr does 🤦🏻♂️ it’s a time consuming job if done by yourself but worth it 👍
I going to be looking for a 2wheel drive Cummins to do a triple turbo Cummins race truck but not going fill block because that's like 20gs to build a money motor build but u should do a build again this next year
I Like this Upgrade ... I have a 2004 GMC SIERRA HD with 8.1..through out the Vedeo I Head you say that it's for the Allison 1000 6 Speed, How do know if mine Transmission is a 5 or a 6 Speed. Or is that Upgrade Kit "Only for the 6 Speed ?....
“About an hour in your driveway”........I don’t think so. Otherwise, you’re jacking up the truck, draining the trans fluid, removing the pan, unbolting the valve body, disassemble the valve body, cleaning all the parts (not having a parts cleaner), drilling and surfacing, re-assembly to torque settings, etc and putting back together and buttoning up the pan and refilling trans fluid. You’re dreaming.
Hi I'm Ahmad from Jordan i have durmax 2006 lly and Alison gearbox on it I have problem in my gear That's wen i put on D or R The truck starts moving actually i am pressing the brakes i don't no why the truck doing that and ther lots of noise in my gear So please can you help me because we don't have an experience man can fix this model of these trucks in our country And i need to know how much litter this gear takes when i change the oil for the gear I'm sorry but i need help Thanks.
I’m pretty sure this is for 06 and up. 05 still had the 5 speed Allison which this kit does not work on. Much more of a process for the 5 speed Allison’s unfortunately.
Yea but a shift kit on the 6 speed you can go through the pan while it’s in the truck. A shift kit on the 5 speed the whole dam thing has to come out and almost torn down. Big difference. And I don’t know of an 05 duramax with a 6 speed. That’s the question.
Is this a reposted video? I thought I saw this one a few months ago. Either way, still a great video. I am going to do the transgo jr really soon. Thanks for the video Truckmaster.
So this applies to a 2005 5spd? My trans is stock, and babied. Pulls a heavy camper, but that is is biggest job. Is the shift kit worth doing, without the spring upgrade for the 4/5 clutch pack?
Good God I am glad I won't do that at home ill have my diesel Mechanic do my tranny stuff I will.be spending $14.000 next month on a hole build on my truck doing cheetha fleece 63mm and air dog stage 2 injectors glow plugs turbo intercooler and plumbing cam and bigger arp head studs cp3 pumps transmission build Suncoast transmission build doing the true lock 3rd member paint job oh my God rims and much more never went this big on a build in one burst truck will be down right sexy ill be posting with the build on face book fallow me Josh the truck will be ready for truck show and dyno pulls

I was like whoa whoa whoa, slow down there trigger so us driveway half wits can start on a Friday and hopefully put it in drive before Monday morning 😂🤪.
Why?
I like how Mark explains the things he is doing and what to watch out for. He is first class!
What an efficient guy. This guy is top notch. Great content as always.
Wanted to do this, im glad I watched it. Now I know there's no way I'm gonna attempt it myself...
I'm 17 and was able to do it on my D-max fairly easy, just slow and careful is the way to go
Don’t be a wimp. Send it!
@ryze6726 dam I'm 21 and kinda nervous to do it but i also live in sand. And advice and what to watch for anything the video forgot ?
@@JasonY02take lots of pictures and be clean
"Something you can do on a Saturday morning." NOT THIS GUY!!! Haha! Anyway, Excellent video. Did an excellent job explaining his procedure and camera caught all the angles. Top notch.
Thanks John
Allison is so simple and awesome unit . Great info 👍

Bring it by I’m in pinellas
is there a part number or source for the additional "slightly longer", "upgraded" springs, it appears as though they are not a part of the trans-go kit. getting ready to do this myself soon, great video as always.
did you ever find out where you can get the upgraded springs??
Yeah same, were you able to find out where they sell them springs ?
They are called Mike L trim springs, need 2 per trans
I've done this kit as well. It's really easy to do so don't be overly worried about. Pay attention, take your time, and it'll be alright. It's way easier than injectors I assure you that. ha ha

Thanks
Mark makes it look so easy... he is the man!
I think it is so interesting so watch someone who is an expert work.
Thank you Mark for all that you do and Josh...Thank you too!!!
Damn, Mark is made for the camera or to teach. He is never searching for the words to describe what he is doing. Thats pretty rare. Most people have long pauses and a bunch of "uhm's".
Where can I get the springs that he installed back in that were a little longer?
Look up Mike L trim springs. You need 2 per transmission
I have done three of these kits still have to watch these videos before I tackle anything.
Hmmm, would be nice to see it done while the trans is still in the truck. Seems like most of that is MUCH easier with the trans upside down.
Till mark thanks from me for his own time he took to show all of us dude it was awesome info I love ur channel note are u going to do more builds bud I know and understand trust me I know it takes time and money to build a truck

Look how Mike L trim springs, need two per trans
where do you get the longer springs?
Look how Mike L trim springs, need two per trans
How much better did the shift improve? Was the difference noticeable
He might as well be a magician with those hands! lol
Mark from Kodiak rocks, thank you
Thanks
I wonder what their opinion is on the tru cool 40k cooler upgrade or transmission cooler upgrades in general. About to start towing a fifth wheel with my lb7 and I’m curious if some extra cooling power would help.
bad ass! theirs a lot to those transmissions
Will the trans go jr add line pressure and if so how much
Awesome job! Dang, Mark is fast! Feels like he has to slow down for the camera. Wonder if he would consider relocating further south lol
I've had this kit sitting under my back seat for 4 years and I'm still scared to do it. I'm able to rebuild engines but this has me uncomfortable I dont know why...
I did my LB7 years ago and it really is this simple. Very hard to mess up.
Did you ever do it
Great video and explanation.
Thanks
Another awesome video!!
Thanks 🙏
I have my kit ready for the 5 speed....where can I get those updated springs??

Now let's see you do this when then trans is in the truck
Nice info. Does transfer case on duramax has oil pump, like transmission has?
Yes
Loving the build
Saturday morning in my driveway 😂😂😂😂😂😂😷
It’s true 👍😂
I agree Ken G!! I’m shocked they said that with a straight face. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Luckily I already picked this up two weeks ago and did it, now everyone is gonna on this upgrade. Thanks for the Video 👍
Nice 👍
Well he makes it look easy
Mark is awesome ! Great job !
why did he drill the two holes in the mid plate? did i miss something???

@Truck Master I have a 2013 Duramax. You have a part number for the Transgo jr?
Is it worth it to do that? And what does it do to the transmission
I going to be looking for a 2wheel drive Cummins to do a triple turbo Cummins race truck but not going fill block because that's like 20gs to build a money motor build but u should do a build again this next year
Thanks a bunch my friend 👋🏻
👍
What's the purpose of their longer springs?
Better pressure
@@TruckMaster many people have asked 10 months ago with no response but any idea on were to get those springs?
Do they make them for automatic transmissions with four wheel drive trucks
Yes
Is this kit helpful/necessary, I got a 2012 lml, only issue i have is when it downshifts from 6 to 5th it hits kinda hard
What year truck was this Allison from? Looking to do it on my 2012 is it worth it for that year?
Love this stuff!
Thanks
what year is this transmission
Might throw this kit into mine.

does he do other brands besides chevy? just curious hes quick at it to and you can tell he double checks everything thats good for sure

North Prarie, WI
Hey bud I'm looking for a 2500, 8.1. Do you have one on your lot? I'm in michigan and looking to buy
Anyone know of a good shop like this in southern Cali.?
thanks
So.... is there a price for this kit or a direct link to it?
transgo jr sk for 06+
I’m pretty sure this is for 06 and up. 05 still had the 5 speed Allison which this kit does not work on. Much more of a process for the 5 speed Allison’s unfortunately.
When a transmission is out the easiest way to tell a five speed from a six is the NSBU is on the outside on a five speed. Inside on a six. ATSG/ATSM.
Yea but a shift kit on the 6 speed you can go through the pan while it’s in the truck. A shift kit on the 5 speed the whole dam thing has to come out and almost torn down. Big difference. And I don’t know of an 05 duramax with a 6 speed. That’s the question.
This is the same process for the 5 speed....but there more to do in the tranny to complete the kit for the 5 speed....but these steps are the same
Is this a reposted video? I thought I saw this one a few months ago. Either way, still a great video. I am going to do the transgo jr really soon. Thanks for the video Truckmaster.
Thanks 👍 it’s a different video
Did Mark happen to mention how much he charges for this install?
Not to sure how much this job cost
Why don't you call and ask....👍
awesome
Now do a transmission relearn video
I already did one 👍
So this applies to a 2005 5spd? My trans is stock, and babied. Pulls a heavy camper, but that is is biggest job. Is the shift kit worth doing, without the spring upgrade for the 4/5 clutch pack?
Tony Ford I am wondering the same thing as you
Six speed only.
There’s a complete vehicle fit list for this product on the MTS Diesel website.
Pass ..
Driveway?? Are you kidding me!!

THEY MAK ANYTHING FOR 5 SPEED
Yes, 5 speed requires trans pull and disassembly though 01-first half 05
