    Radical firearms started out as a gun store then started making their own AR-15's. Then sold the gun store and here they are today

      Wish they would’ve kept their gun store open, it would be nice to be able to go pick one up off the shelf and not have to try and find one. I live a few hours away so I just wish I could go pick one up without overpaying.

      @earl-tf4qc The main thing was to open the bcg with mag inserted and let it slam shut using the bolt button a couple hundred times. Also cleaning and re-cleaning the chamber with a chamber brush. For whatever reason, it worked and my rifle has functioned 100% since. I trust it now.

Only a 3 hour wait for nics as well... I also picked up a Holosun HE5I0C Green dot for that *and* scored a Sprinfield Hellcat 👍 -the guy went into the back and grabbed the only one they had for me... none out front.

    Radical Firearms is making some quality low cost AR platform rifles now. I have three right now, 6.5 Grendel, .308, and .450 Bushmaster, and they all just run. Not one ran me over $740 after it was all said and done. All have good mil-spec triggers and are very accurate. I have a couple AR's that punched me in the face with prices north of $1800. I'm not going to say these run better by any means, but they run very well with no issues to date. At this price point I don't mind getting them in the woods and hunting with them. I have bolt action hunting rifles that cost more, but these I have to say are a lot more fun to deer, hog, and goat hunt with... The main reason I bought them. Great review Outlaw. Take care brother.

    I just got one of these uppers. Very excited. I have a 20" white oak m16a2 upper. A bear creek 7.5 upper and now this to finish up the collection. This is going to be the do it all and especially for classes. I have not taken a rifle course in like 6 years.😂

    I'm new to guns (about a year) and own 3 pistols, approved for my 4th. I don't own an AR yet but I feel like companies should appeal to those of us on a budget..get us hooked with something that works well, doesn't break the bank, and we are very likely to spend more out of passion for the sport, not out of necessity.

    I'm super new to firearms (10 days) but with all the craziness going on in the world today I thought it couldn't hurt to arm myself. Gotta protect the one I love!
    I originally ordered an M&P Sport II but after watching this video I cancelled that order and bought this particular rifle (with the longer handguard for my long arms) and a Sig Romeo MSR red dot from BattleHawk Armory for what seemed like a steal -- $499 for everything. Should have it later this week.

      @@kevinc.cucumber3697 I do it because it's affordable and allows me to have more. I'm the same way with handguns. I didn't always buy that way, I used to have all sorts of different handguns and rifles. My handguns now consists of several Taurus G3, PSA Daggers, PSA Rock, and Ruger LCP max. I worked my way down to only needing to keep 4 calibers of ammo stocked up. Each rifle and handgun has it's on dedicated bug out/ get home bag as well. I made sure that if SHTF, everyone in my immediate family could be equiped to defend themselves and our group. It was easier to make that happen by buying quality " budget" firearms.

    So, this isn't written anywhere as a use for the forward assist, but I do know of one good valid reason to have one if you'll hear me out.
    The scenario:
    You're in a combat situation where you may be in say a dugout/trench/building/wilderness/whatever, and you have enemies nearby attempting to locate you or that you may need to ambush. You just reloaded your weapon, but you know releasing the bolt is going to be loud and draw attention to your location. (Anyone who has hit the bolt release on an AR in a quiet/silent environment knows what I mean). You pull your charging handle back slowly and press the bolt release, slowly and quietly riding the charging handle forward until the bolt carrier chambers a round. You then quietly (nearly silently) push the forward assist until your bolt face locks into battery.
    Your now silently ready to go without alerting anyone nearby to the fact you just chambered a round.
    Anytime you ride the charging handle home, there won't be enough force against the BCG (Bolt Carrier Group) most of the time to rotate and lock the bolt. The forward assist allows you in these situations to fairly quietly push the BCG forward until the cam rotates and locks the bolt. Under normal conditions you wouldn't be riding your charging handle home, but for those situations where you have to...

    • @jakesoros2376
      @jakesoros2376 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you want to know why the forward assist is useful, just ask Kyle Rittenhouse.
      When he was on the ground, he cleared a jam with his forward assist just before he defended himself against the final man who faked a surrender before leveling his pistol at Kyle.

Pennsylvania has weird gun laws, to the best of my knowledge I can't legally purchase a sidearm and or ammo for said firearm however a family member could buy a pistol and "gift" it to me.
