I want to first off say this isn't meant to be a negative video. I aimed this to be informational about people that don't know much about Brawl (like myself prior). I had a lot of fun doing this project and appreciate both the scene and unique mechanics of this game. It appeals to a different audience than Melee, which is good. Please don't argue what Smash game is better. Each one is technically broken, honestly.
Thanks for watching. I probably put in the most man hours into this video than any other one I have done before (research took a really long time). However, if there is anything I have missed in this video or should've added, let me know. Also, I hope you guys are fine with non-melee content. This was like a breath of fresh air creative-wise. I definitely want to branch out more (Smash Ultimate). If there is any room for improvement, let me know. With that, thanks for 54k subs and 2 MILLION VIEWS on Melee is Broken. Insane. Anywho it could still be bad with characters that could chaingrab but again 1% chance and you could choose to walk or jump so whatever. It would be rare that I would trip more than 2 times in any match and I dont even try to avoid tripping, its that uncommon.

Step 1: CHOOSE META KNIGHT
Step 2: Spam jab
Step 3: that’s it

As a Meta Knight main, it was a thing of beauty seeing me dominate my opponent who had months of experience by just spamming random buttons.

Only because Meta Knight is more broken than the other characters, you still need to have skill to be able to use him but any good player can easily beat a Meta Knight.

I always enjoyed this one to. But I am a more casual person by nature.
But you still see competitions involving brawl as well, so it still has a competitive community either way. I remember just being saddened. My boy Roy did not get invited. And neither did Pichu. Sure Pichu sucked. But I wanted to play Pichu in a casual setting again.
I've played both melee and brawl growing up, i love them both.
I have some pretty fond memories of online in brawl though, and Emissary was honestly way more fun than it should have been tbh.

Brawl was my first smash game, I had so much fun with it and it’s introduced me to so many fun games and series
It might be broken af but imo it had some of the best music
It has THE best music. No one can listen to Brawl's final destination theme and say it doesn't have the best soundtrack.
Melee is very broken, as well. That game is only good because of it's glitchy gameplay.
Brawl is actually the smash game I have the most fond memories of.
The official Nintendo guidebook rated Meta Knight a 6/10 in how good he was. Marth was 9/10 and Link was 7/10. Gives you an idea of how well they understood how far characters could be pushed.

I will admit, Snake's DACUS is actually pretty cool.
I'm reminded of Nintendo's mindset in the Wii era. Everything was very casual, with an attempt to appeal to non-gamers and non-hardcore gamers. In a Nintendo Power interview, Sakurai was asked, "which character do you feel that you dominate with?" He refused to answer, saying that he didn't view Smash as a competitive game that should be taken seriously, but as a sort of goofy, Mario Party-esque game where you could go from winning to losing in a heartbeat based solely on chance. I think he imagined a group of people sitting around and laughing happily when they trip and die, not spiking their Gamecube controllers into the floor.
Even with that kind of mentality, I'm flabbergasted that anyone would program tripping into the game. Balls out insane.

Smash never was (and never will be) a competitive fighting game. It was always meant to be a party game where people sit down and have fun playing

@@marcusmcfall8167 Wrong on both accounts. I don't understand why people think it has to be one or the other. Melee especially was well designed for both casual and competitive. Some of the trophies you unlock give you tips that are clearly aimed at more serious 1v1 play. Hell they even balanced patched the PAL version. It's like the gold standard of entertaining competitive fighters, and it was also an amazing casual experience.

Tabuu is actually pretty easy to defeat on hardest difficulty. You just air dodge all his attacks. When he turns huge, you can stand right next to him and he can’t hit you.

Those three characters are ridiculously strong, with Snake being my most played due to his rockets allowing me to juggle, gimp, and edge guard while remaining grounded.

Just realised, even though this game is over a decade old, its graphics still look pretty decent
I mean, Heeew plays it in the Dolphin emulator which upscales the rendering to 1080p and beyond, but it's still pretty good on a normal 480p output.

The super gritty, realistic textures are the most early 2000s things ever. They did this allegedly to counter how weak the Wii was graphically and considering how well this game aged, it worked.
