DO NOT FOLLOW WRONG INFORMATION ON TORQUE SETTING ON WHEEL STUDS. THE PROPER TORQUE SETTING ON WHEEL STUDS DUE TO SIZE AND HARDNESS OF BOLT IS 103 FOOT POUNDS, NO WHERE CLOSE TO 140 FOOT POUNDS AS STATED. THE JOHN DEERE 3046R MANUAL ALSO STATES DUE TO THE BOLT SIZE AND HARDNESS THE TORQUE SETTING IS 103 FOOT POUNDS. TORQUE SETTING IS MADE DUE 3 VARIABLES SIZE OF BOLT, HARDNESS OF BOLT AND THREAD STRENGTH OF PILOT HOLE.
@@mapletreehomestead3437 thanks, just curious. I'm in the process of ordering a cabbed 3039R and will have spacers for my dealer to install. I'm thinking 2 or 3" is plenty, just wanted to confirm.
The tires are loaded no mower although it does have a mid mount pto.....the stability is like night and day I should have done it when I bought the tractor!
I have a 3039r with 72” mid mount mower and the 3” spacers work fine with it. The 3.5” probably would also work. The spacers made a huge difference for me as well.

This exactly why I just had MotorSport send the spacers straight to Pape’, let the pros do the install.
Two questions:
Are those the larger R4 tires?
What is the overall width with the 3" spacers?
Yes R4 I will have to check the overall width tomorrow…. I think that it’s 65” but I will check in the morning

I have no regrets with this 3” spacers it made the tractor so much more stable but it was unnoticeable on what it will fit through!
Do you have a 72” mid mount mower? Does the 3”. Work well with it? How is the stability before and after? Assumed your tires are not loaded?

I do have a Jacobson 422 with a 72in deck that will be in a future episode when the temperature goes up!

@@brianbarclay4316 I notice it most when I’m working in the woods with it, the stability is like night and day!
