It seems they got the right people on the project. In my opinion, a lot of this detail isn't hard, it just takes a lot of time. Time that is usually compensated for with money. I'm pretty sure they've been working on this for at least 3 years? But with the free modeling tools of today and the mass of people involved in FBW, I am not surprised they managed something of this caliber. Not to discredit the work, but to emphasize that it's possible with community sourcing and good management, and that their work is stellar.
Also a credit to the teams collaboration and communication skills. Very easy for things to go sideways in a group of people without HR, behavior policies etc, especially when passions are involved. It's a credit to the team's professionalism that AFAIK there has been little to no drama.
One of the main things is that the people who worked on this project (and others) did it because they genuinely WANTED to. It wasn't some job or a work project where you have management pushing deadlines on you and in situation where $ usually has more priority. In this case, it's a free product, being worked on simply because the people that did it love what they do and had the passion for the project. Lot of the contributors did it on their off time from their real world jobs/obligations. What it really shows is what the product can be if the people working on it have true passion for it, and don't just treat it like a job or a paycheck. Prime example of that is the monstrosity that is the Aerosoft A330 CEO. Almost a million euros supposedly and look at what they released.
100% credit goes to the team, but man fix the engines power like fenix a320 or just copy its code/files to make it look more realistic, its the only thing that needs work imo
@@hanzala553 dude... it's an alpha of a freeware. it's in an incredibly polished state considering. And that is not the only thing that needs work at all, but it doesn't matter. Be grateful they released an alpha or you'd still be waiting. And you can still just wait if it's not ready for your standards.
Actually, it is hard. Hard like playing a violin is hard. It might look easy, but its not. Knowing the modeling tools is considered the challenging part. They are not as user friendly as you are accustomed to.

Wonderful showcase of the FlyByWire A380X. Many thanks. Incredible work from the FBW team. I flew this yesterday, but unless your hardware has been upgraded you will struggle in the 8K version, users beware !. There is a big FPS hit initially. You will need a beefy CPU and GPU for the 8k version to make headwind in some of the more detailed airports. VRAM usage is very high even on the 4k version, well over 80% at some points for me. As always, I got from your video 2 or three tips that make the difference. Yesterday, I was trying the A380 and found many issues, but most of them were on me. In addition, I was dealing with hardware issues, but those were related to my recent update to 24H2 on Win11. The update makes my Eclipses hardware with driver error messages. Those cameras are in fact used for taxiing the aeroplane because of it's size and the cockpit being placed above the bottom deck
As the previous commenter said, it’s useful for taxing as the ACFT is so large, they wouldn’t use that camera in flight.
