I bought this exact same gun last year, as well as the Hercules 12v screwdriver. The impact has plenty of power for most of my needs and saves me from having to deal with the air hose.
I do have a Aircat for the harder jobs to as a backup. I bought the cordless screwdriver thinking just for assembling stuff around the house, but I just used it to rebuild a backpack blower.
It only struggled on on one or two of the engine bolts, but was excellent for the screws going into plastic.I looked long and hard at the Milwaukee and Dewalt lineup, but just could not justify the price for a home garage.

As well as these have been for me in my little shop, doing suspension and engine work 5-7 days a week, I would imagine for the diyer, theyd do just as good and probably even last longer than any big name brand.
My Hercules 1/2" impact has already out performed and out lasted my 1/2" Milwaukee.
Even the charger and batteries have outlasted the Milwakees. I have not gotten a single battery or had to replace the charger yet. I went through a few batteries and I think 2 chargers within the first year and a half with Milwaukee.
      Thanks for watching!

Its been a great addition to my shop. Ive used it daily and its still as good as day one. It does lack a little power and cant handle a few things like breaking away axle nuts, subframe bolts, amature well-overtorqued bolts and honda crankshaft pulley bolts.
Ill be getting the Ultra Torque one too here really soon. Its 1400ft-lbs break away torque so itll come in very handy for the things this one cant do.

I lost all of my Milwaukee stuff like a year ago and now harbor freight is reminding me of the things I had from Milwaukee with the brushless 3speed stuff and the 12v ratchets. I just wish the 1/2 impact was bigger and stronger like the fuel 3speed Milwaukee I had but it's ok. My Milwaukee could take off EVERY lug nut, I had to break out the breaker bar a few times lol

@@MegaMilesBen I'm definitely interested in the 12v wrenches next since I can use the same charger for 20v and 12v. The only thing that threw me off when I first got the 1/2in. is the rubber in the area for the battery. I didn't know what it is was at first because Milwaukee didn't have that, but when I saw it and realized what it was I had already accidentally snipped a piece of that rubber off from just slipping the battery on. It kind of messed with my head but I got over it. Lol

@frankmontez6853 im extremely happy with my Hercules line up of tools. I have saved a ton of money getting rid of my Milwaukee tools. I was constantly replacing batteries and chargers and the 1/2" impact started grinding within about a year and a half of having it.
Since switching to Hercules, I have not replaced a single battery or charger and have not had a single issue with either tool in over 2 and 1/2 years. Hercules wins, hands down.

I just bought the Hercules 1/2 with 5 amp hr battery to keep in my other pickup for lug nuts. Sure nice to have when it's 102 outside or freezing cold. On the box it says 5 year warranty. Is Harbor Freight the only one that carries it? If so I would assume you could exchange it any time up to 5 years with a receipt. And HF can pull up your old receipts. They email me one and I made an email folder to keep them in so I have them all. I wrote the date on my impact with magic marker so I can track the receipt date down easier. I have had their Earthquake 1/2 for a few years. It will take the nuts off the jolly green giant. Only bad thing I can say about it is it is a little heavy but sure gets the job done. Batteries stay up great too. I made an adapter to drive the big screw anchors into the ground with it. A life saver.

Actually, compared to my Milwaukee, I thought it was the quieter one.

What about the Hercules Ultra Torque 1/2 Impact gun? This is not even a actual fair comparison.

      @MegaMilesBen  ปีที่แล้ว +2

This comparison is actually really close.
The ultra torque is 1400ft-lbs break away torque and definately wouldnt be a fair comparison since its twice the torque of the other 2.
I just got one and will be doing a review of it down the road as well. I only got it for things this one cant get. Ive used it once so far.

This is a good comparison because both of these guns are the mid torque. This isn't the high torque milwakuee either

BadA$$ little impact. This thing out performs my Ingersolrand, and Dewalt put together, but a 1/3 of the price. Inside track club member for life.

@@tylerknowles2408 is it the 1/2" drive? Mine has an issue with well overtorqued lugs. Having the ultra torque too makes a great team.

@@MegaMilesBen I’m assuming it was over torqued. I have 8ah battery. Was gonna look at the ultra torque.

@tylerknowles2408 the ultra torque is a powerhouse! My shop neighbor was coming over to borrow mine all the time instead of his high torque milwaukee so, I got him his own lol. He loves it!

Ive had terrible luck with Milwaukee batteries they are junk

Chargers too. I was really dissappinted with the Milwaukee tools, batteries and chargers I got. The 1/2" impact gun started grinding within a year and just kept getting worse. I went through 3 double chargers (1 charger for both type of batteries) and I replaced the batteries with generic ones off Amazon which were better and lasted much much longer.
With these Hercules products, Im going well over a year and havent had one single issue yet. Not a single bad battery or charger either. Im highly impressed with them!
