what size are the screws that hold the rotor on?
I did that silver thing come out
Those are the plug/coil sleeves. They just pull out. The rubber on the coils can expand a little with heat so they sometimes stick. The sleeve might need a new seal under the valve cover and could be the cause of the valve cover gasket leak. You can see the oil build up on that third plug when i pull the plug out. I did let the client know about it.

some reason can't get the lower control arm high enough to reinstall the sway bar link...
@sean9267 you may need link extensions. Ive had others mention that whatever kit they got came with some. Also, sometimes putting the vehicle on the ground will bring it to where it needs to be, I run into that mostly in the rear on a few different lifts and truck brands.
Am I crazy but where is the CV Joint?
Youre not crazy. Its rear wheel drive.
THANK YOU! Finally, a video using the thing for real work. I’ve been debating over the 12v driver or the impact. I have plenty of strong air ratchets and impacts. I need something for push mowers and hand held equipment. So yea, I want a tool as compact as possible with as little torque as possible but still able to easily do the job. This video confirms that the driver will work just fine. Thanks for posting this. Subscribed 😊
@wcjcnc the hex driver is great for the little stuff, absolutely. Thanks for watching!
Well, I stopped by Harbor Freight and picked up this tool. It’s freaking perfect for what I needed. Like you said, just enough torque but not too much. Used it all day in my shop. I couldn’t be happier with it. Very small and compact. Perfect for taking carburetors off of lawnmowers, and other small bolts on small engine equipment. Subscribing to your channel. Thanks again!!
@wcjcnc glad you like it. Im really happy with Hercules.
What ever became of that engine? Did you fix it? Or did it have to be replaced altogether?
@@enis8870 I really dont know. It was a clients truck. He had it towed out.
out of all the setups i love yours simple and to the point very smart thank you for sharing!
@lucasornelas6113 thanks for watching! I really enjoy the set up, it works great. I started making a different filter now though, I still use the mesh but I make it like a sock and stuff it with steel wool and put it in the bucket where the drain goes in. It works really good and catches almost everything, even the really fine stuff. I should maybe make another video showing that, it made a huge difference.
@@MegaMilesBen That sounds great, im going to create a set up just like yours i really like it.
@lucasornelas6113 Ive seen like "clip on" peg boards and "hanging" drawers. Im thinking about adding in some stuff like that and maybe an upper light above the bin.

@@Brian.monterroza05 I dont have a video for that one yet.
Thanks for the vid. I like to find vids ahead of time to see if there's any extra magic involved before I dive in and have everything apart to find out the hard way I dont have everything. One stoopid question though. That big washer you put on right before threading the inner back in place. Isnt that a lock washer that you're supposed to bend the ends down on the flat spots of the rod end? Not critiqing, just asking because im sure the loctite is plenty. Thanks again

About three months ago, I ran over a sign on the highway that immediately caused some rattling and problems with my wheels. I had not driven it since (Until today) I placed a claim with my state’s department of transportation. Today, however, I drove and out of nowhere I start feeling and hearing massive/percussion in the wheel well. Feels like tire is whipping left and right against the wheel well. It felt like it was about to fall off entirely. So I pull over and one of the two screws/bolts (Forgive me on some of the terminology I am very limited with cars) is missing. These are the pieces you are messing with near the 6-6:05 minute mark of this video. I can also see scratches like metal on metal on the wheel well. What is happening?

What is your opinion on replacing the ignition coils? Do they have a longer lifespan than the spark plugs?
@Mrschaeffer15466 yes they do. I recommend them anytime theyre over 100,000 miles on v6s cause theyre usually hard to access. For 4cylinders, I usually just tell people to wait till they go out cause theyre easy to swap one at a time, but, if doing as a preventative maintenance, Id recommend them when theyre over 100K miles. Ignition coils can get very pricey and I do not recommend generic ones (especially ebay/amazon) as they will misfire/go bad in a short amount of time.
On the NGK spark plug website, spark plugs should be torqued to 18 ft lbs, or 216 inch lbs. 13 ft lbs is not tight enough, will loosen up, Honda sent out an update to increase the torque settings
@Hondamdfan I use factory specs provided by prodemand/mitchell which is a $200+ a month service that probably about 80% of all shops and dealerships use. It also includes updates, notices & recalls by dealerships as well. This client has been very long term and hasnt had any issues with either of the tune ups Ive done for him.
Hey great video, thanks! Why do you make the marks? If its a new deiveshaft, I mean you won't be able to line the marks. Is it correct?
@oemplus3613 i use them to realign the yokes with the differentials. Its a habit to mark the driveshaft too cause Im not always replacing it.
Made a typo in the video. It should say T40 Torx (not Hex). Sorry!
Is there no gasket on the housing side? Just the O-Ring? I did just the o-ring and it's got a little dribble happening. Worried I over torqued it to warp the housing or I just tightened a lil too much and broke the ring
@@adenhall9988 just the oring.
@@MegaMilesBen Would you happen to know the part number of that outlet pipe that you took off? Mine has a crack in it.. Whoops.
@adenhall9988 amzn.to/3CUnmmS
You don't need to take that coil rail off to remove the alternator. I can't imagine how you got that plug disconnected from the fan so easily! On my 2009 Accord V6, the plug was o the bottom of the fan and there was also a wire hold-down that had to be broken off before the fan could be removed. All this had to be done from the bottom. It made a simple job a nightmare.
@@robertfrapples2472 Sorry to hear that!
Great job. I did a 3.5 lift on my 2007 Chevy Tahoe and had an issue on the front saw bar link. When I let the jack down the saw bar link that part that attach to the lower control arm busted. Do they have a longer one. why saw bar have so much tension on it. I notes you did them tougher. It was fun Thanks,

Thanks so much for this video! I did mine last night in about three hours on jackstands! I wish I had a lift.
@kentvigneault8270 Thats not that bad, good job. And I totally understand, I worked on my back in my home garage for 10 years before aquiring my little shop. The rent for the lift isnt cheap though, Ill tell you that much.
Hello, would this be the same location for the oil pressure switch on a 2019 sierra?
@jacattack777 Im not really sure, thatd vary by engine size and sometimes the years of generation. I havent done a 19 yet.
@MegaMilesBen I've seen a bunch of videos of strut installs with no spring compressors by supporting the lower control arm with a jack. Theyve removed all the necessary nuts and bolts, and just to point out that they also removed the mounts 3 strut nuts along with the center nut up. They then eased the jack down to ease the strut and spring assembly in order to decompress the the spring. Have you ever tried this method? I dont think its safe but the results on all the videos ive seen, seems to work with no issues.
@Ben1010Ten I cant say Ive ever tried that way, sorry.

Love it! Man those Acuras can roll on and on and on and on! Hate that people steal cats. Is it worth it to protect the new MDX from those types of theft?
@cgonedfishing the best deterrent that I know of is to weld a thick steel cable to the exhaust and cat. There isnt anything thats really going to stop theft but it will deter some and slow down others. Those steel cables are rough to cut through.

Throw a sleepy joe in there lol im kidding and my stuff is stuck
Whats a sleepy joe? Which end is stuck? I had one stuck so bad once I had to remove the other side axle and went through the transmission with a prybar and poped it out that way.
At 5:45, you put up text that there is a missing 14mm third bolt behind the plenum. This bolt is incredibly difficult to see or access and has to be done blindly. Please correct it to say it's a 12 mm bolt because I wasted over 2 hours trying to get that bolt off. It's very difficult to put a standard size ratchet on due to no clearance. I couldn't understand why the bolt wasn't backing off with a 14.
Thanks for the tip, this will help others. The stock bolt is a 14mm like the others so yours may have been replaced before possibly. Its an easy bolt to drop behind the engine.
Thanks man!
