    I resemble your remarks. I bought the 1/2 1500
    And here to tell I’m impressed trough and trough for a 1/3 of $ as the comp. Upper control arm bushing bolts5/8”(limited access) with 219,000 miles of Wisconsin rust, 6 point wrench against the frame and my new mistress had smoke rollin filings flying while banshees screamed and still she clicked and still she turned!
    My new love in life.

    I bought the big 1/2 inch model in Paintsville and can rotate my tires on my 3/4 ton truck and only use 1 bar of battery. Very impressed with Hercules. Since then i bought the 3/8 impact and the cordless grinder. Can’t go wrong with Hercules

    I'm happy with my Hercules impact driver and 1/2 High Torque impact wrench. Both have the 5a battery. However, this 1/2 compact impact wrench is not very strong. Tried it and returned it the next day when it struggled to take off lugs on some cars. I ended up purchasing the Dewalt DCF891 Mid Torque (800ft/lb) with the 5a Powerstack battery which is as strong as the feedback all around says. If it continues to perform this good, the Hercules High Torque will come out only for certain tasks

    Good video I’ve been looking at trying one of these since my 6+ year old kobalt stuff is getting old and starting to give the death flash and stops working so time to try a different brand, I’m not a mechanic so no need to buy milwaukee again after mine were stolen just looking for tools to get the job done and seems like the compact 1/2 will do that I’m pretty sure it has more power then my old 3/8 kobalt that has worked for years lol

      Currently, I have a 09 F-150 in my shop. The only bolt I haven’t been able to break with the Hercules was the crankshaft/harmonic balancer bolt. That rascal is tight.
      I’m very pleased with its performance. I also understand that it’s 1/2” drive cordless and there are limitations. I don’t have an air compressor at my home shop yet, and I’ve never really been into noisy air tools.

      @@Project_38 thanks for the reply that’s good to hear nothing I work on is really super tight the old 3/8 kobalt usually works but it’s wore out and aggravating having to stop and remove battery after it just starts flashing but after 6+ years I got my money back out of it so time to try something new lol thanks again for the reply back

    The Hercules ultra torque is awesome. Outside of that it’s a hit or miss. But most of the time still a better value than the competition.

      @Project_38  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’m not familiar with ultra torque. Please elaborate.

      @@Project_38 Hercules makes a 1/2” high torque and a 1/2” ultra torque impact. The ultra torque can’t be beat for the price. To get an impact wrench that has more power you have to pay twice as much and you only get 10% more torque. TH-cam channels like shop tool reviews has the Hercules taking off bolts set to 2000 ft lbs. Mr Subaru smashed it with a tractor, dragged it through the dirt and poured water all over and it still did its job.
      Another good Hercules is the impact driver, the Torque test channel has Hercules rated above Milwaukee, DeWalt and everyone else.
      The Hercules hammer drill is also a great buy.
      Unfortunately the mid torque Hercules and 12v line are not as good as the competition. But I invested into the platform because of the ultra torque and impact driver.

    I checked these out on sale and unfortunately after two medium size batteries and a charger, it was cheaper to get a Ryobi because I already have plenty of Ryobi batteries and chargers.

    • @Project_38
      @Project_38  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have a couple Ryobi tools on the day job. In a commercial setting, we haven’t seen them hold up to the multiple charges per day and the demands “aka abuse” of all day use.
      We’ll definitely see how the Hercules holds up over time.

    must be hit and miss as I can't loosen lug nuts on my car which I hand torques to 129ft/lb just weeks ago - clearly nowwhere the rated 500 ft/pd or the 300 max rating on the site... I'm not alone as other video show hand tightening to 100lb and not able to loosen even with a full 5A battery. maybe I got a lemon.

      @Project_38  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I only have the 1/2” and so far is been very surprising. Lug nuts, caliper brackets, ball joint and upper control arm bolts from several vehicles. I used it for the steering shaft on an F-150.
      So far, it’s a keeper. I’m considering getting the larger one Hercules offers and by what you say, perhaps the 1/4” also. Anyway, seems like it to be handy on smaller things, like caliper guide pin bolts, oil pan bolts or other simpler vehicle maintenance.

      @@Project_38 im glad it working out for sure, i tried using it on lugs on my mazda 3 and it didnt work at all, what i did do was get another 1/4 and swap the anvil so i made my own 3/8 impact and thats my go to from now on.

    • @Project_38
      @Project_38  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Mr19860823 Initially, mine struggled with lug nuts. That being said, I also had to use a breaker-bar with a cheater pipe to break’em loose. Everything that has been torqued to spec., hasn’t been an issue.
      I’m not perfect, but I always torque my lug nuts. Mostly because I’ve been on the side of the road and the supplies lug wrench wasn’t sufficient to break them loose. I had to call in reinforcements…
      I’d be interested to see your swap video on the anvil swap… Ranger

      I had a similar issue at first also. I also found that the lugs were so tight I had to use a 4’ cheater pipe to break them. I do not trust any garage/tire shop to do any wheel work. They always over tighten.
      We’re still using ours, almost daily without any problems. I hope it get better for ya.
