If you have a Maxx force engine, prime the system before you start up your engine. It's gets the system prime and ready for start up. Driver must do a quick walk around around and check everything. Remember to drain your air tanks when you stop for the day.
I came here looking for a video oil leaking externally from the turbo and oil leaking from the air to air on Maxforce 13L. Cat just replaced the exhaust manifold gaskets now oil is blowing out the seals. I think an oil seal is going bad. ?
The epa killed the good ones. Any 13 series engines that are pre egr, 2010 and down with the thick top mounted charge air cooler have the most power and torque along with allowing higher rpms in lower gears. They tug a 80,000 pound load like no other. In 2011 the 13’s were redesigned with the addition of a new egr design forced on Navistar by the EPA. All other manufacturers went with the SCR system requiring def fluid plus the def tank. That decision ruined Navistar’s reputation causing a lot of reliability issues because of the high and low pressure egr system becoming clogged or the exhaust brake valve that is used to force egr gasses back into the engine becomes partially stuck sending the engine into auto destruct mode from excessively high air temps being inducted back into the cylinder head. With no sensor there to notify an issue the ECU allows normal fuel injector dosing raising the recirculated gas temp more and more till it starts melting pistons, scaring liners and turning a 33,000 dollar engine into a pile of useless shit. It’s sad that Navistar executives turned down the SCR design that others have had such success with. Things would have been different. Such same that a once great power house of an engine now holds the number 1 spot as the least reliable diesel engine ever produced. A lot of companies have nearly gone bankrupt and filing lawsuits all from that one costly decision by Navistar from not developing a SCR solution.
Wow is this guy nervous on camera. I think he would of been better off cursing like a sailor as that would've been how most wrench hands talk in this environment especially working on that engine.
Well ditto again a poor video..As far as the maxforce engine..I bought a prostate plus with an autoshift..I had a full delete done when purchased..My problem was everthing surrounding the engine..From wiring to more wiring false codes..owner operator for thirty years..
I used to work for an international dealer, lugging parts around. Bought a 9900 with an N14 eight years ago and didn't look back. They wouldn't like you doing an informative video on the max force because they don't want trade secrets readily available to the public on their crown jewel turd ha ha. engineers need to do real field testing not just turn it out and give a good truck maker a bad name.
i know hes still learning, but buddy learn the system a little more before making a video, common rail fuel systems are not that hard to understand and remember everything, i can imagine how things would be once u reach emissions systems and operations. there so much fun:) and a maxforce 13 is the biggest piece of fucking shit on the road, u forgot to add that piece of information
This video is an example, of why. You first rehearse at least wonce. Review the video, then make the necessary corrections. Before you upload your video.
this guy has no clue what he is talking about egr is on the back side of engine goes into the hot side then threw the cool side cool side plugs first but in sever cases the hot and cool side needs replaced
Very interesting channel colleagues, bravo

How do you prime the engine? And when you say prime, are you talking about priming the fuel or oil.

That maxxforce will be your death from all the stress of having to constantly replace shit.

So 2010 and down is ok. Good to know thanks
Man, this was painful to watch. Thanks for trying.

It be guys like this that they have working on my truck every time to make sure they get every dime they can out of me. The Machanic barley know shit
I wonder if this guy graduated…

Bigmoe I did the same thing, engine has been working good but now the crankcase breather leaking oil
Bigmoe do you have a max force as well??
Bro is still learning cut him some slack.

This engine SUCKS don't buy a truck with this engine. you will be sorry if you do
Don’t buy any MaxxForce engine.

I came here looking for some information, I am not making fun of this guy..... but really a high school Vo-Tech student would know more.
This guy does't know his left from right
This is why you cant get a motor fixed this fool
Rick Ray 😭😂
Lmao 💀
waoooooooooooo cám ơn chú.
This guy needs more schooling before putting a video out there
Very disappointed.
... Sorry, this is a very poor video. The gentleman has no idea what he is talking about...
AcousticHills, I thought the fuel system description was piss poor til we rolled around to air management.
o crap wrong vid he is confused
You will need to learn max force engines they really suck .
this guy has no clue what he is talking about egr is on the back side of engine goes into the hot side then threw the cool side cool side plugs first but in sever cases the hot and cool side needs replaced
It would be best if you didn't take advice from ole boy
this video is bad haha
