    Thanks for this great video. I had not considered using the Super Console X for my own build, but after seeing this video I have ut a try. Works great!

    For the time being my temporary arcade set up is comprised of a stand up computer desk that has a top level and a lower level where the keyboard would normally sit. The top level house is my 34 inch flatscreen the lower level holds my Pandora 18S game box. And I am having the time of my life I would love to one day have a hanging arcade cabinet.

    Now that I built a rig with a 3060 in it, I plan on putting my old cheapo Dell Vostro with a t400 in it, in one of those AtGames arcade machines in the future. Or build one myself seeing how easy you were able to get yours setup. Street Fighter 5 and Tekken 7 will hit different playing standing up at a cab like back in the day.

    You go through how to set up the buttons, but I wonder if you plug in an external arcade stick like a mayflash F101 if you can go in to program the buttons, just all the same

    I have a question. I really hope you can answer. I hope you see this. You have to turn off the. X pro from inside the software, so my question is without removing the console out of the arcade cabinet. How do you turn it on? Does it simply come on using the switch on the wall? I had the first version and I had to hit the power button on and off to turn it on.

    I tried to configure my arcade dual joystick setup following your instructions but the software is so much newer than this video that it doesnt pertain. I struck out, still have no way of using my arcade unless I only use the handheld unit that came with the X5... no good. Thanks for the great video but it doesnt work with this latest software from Kinhank.

    Yo! Sup Dweeeeeeeeeeeeeeb! Damn I really enjoyed this vid. I always thought having an arcade machine would be a bad idea because they're bulky, but having a slim machine mounted on the wall is an incredible idea! Kinda a no-brainer really. Seeing Burger Time on a big screen in orange/black is just 👌👌

    • @TechDweeb
      @TechDweeb  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah the low-profile version is the only way it'd work in my place (Mom would never let me put a full cabinet that takes up so much room). Another good part is that you could actually take it down from the wall and put it on a table, use it as a bar-top unit.

    • @TechDweeb
      @TechDweeb  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Apparently yes, but it'll take some work and require buying some components: arcademodup.com/how-to-upgrade-your-arcade1up-to-play-1000s-of-games/
      As long as you can get the 1up inputs and screen converted to the USB controller board and HDMI for the screen you should be fine to use it with a SCX

    Have you considered testing some of those used oem mini pcs? I recently got HP Prodesk 800 mini (or micro or tiny or whatever they call them) for a client and, well, it's locked to 18W, so I'd recommend maybe not getting an HP, but a miniature Dell or Lenovo can be had for peanuts - and still be way more powerful than Super console x pro, or rpi4, or even Super console x King (heck, it would probably crush nVidia shield)

    • @TechDweeb
      @TechDweeb  ปีที่แล้ว

      I do have a mini Optiplex PC. That's the one I used in my Retrobat setup video. I couldn't install Batocera on it though, unfortunately, I couldn't get it to boot with anything other than the stock Win10 that came on it :/

      @@TechDweeb Lenovo laptops usually have a tiny pinhole button you have to press in order to enter bios, maybe it's something stupid like that? I've confused your Dell as being the middle sized one, that can fit an actual LP GPU, my bad.

    • @TechDweeb
      @TechDweeb  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My monitor had an audio jack that I used, but the Super console X pro does have a individual audio jack that you could use instead if needed.

    • @dudebuchanan
      @dudebuchanan ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @TechDweeb Thank you for replying so fast! Ah, so the av port can be used for just audio? Now that I think about it, I don't see why not. It seems so obvious now. I tried an av cable once but didn't get a signal so I thought the av port might not be usable. I didn't follow up on it but now I will try it out.
      Again, thank you for replying. You are a hero!

    Does the arcade button wiring main system come with the buttons? You inspired me to try make one of these some day

    • @TechDweeb
      @TechDweeb  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes that's right, it comes as a kit. Comes with the USB cord, the pcb, the buttons, and all the button wires. Basically everything you need hardware-wise other than the console itself.

    I’m having an issue with down back not registering and on the second controller down forward doesn’t register as block

    • @TechDweeb
      @TechDweeb  ปีที่แล้ว

      Is that on the controllers that come with it? It sounds like a problem with the controllers, if you had a different controller you could try that would help you figure out if it's an issue with your controllers or the device/settings.

    • @TechDweeb
      @TechDweeb  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can! I did test it. There is a little bit more latency with this thing, over the micro HDMI, but it's not a deal breaker. You can use it and it works fine. I might make a video about it.

      Sorta. I was always very nasally when I was a kid, I do believe I had VPI (Velopharyngeal insufficiency) which caused it. It was so prevalent that my nickname was The Dweeb when I was in gradeschool. I found out I could control the nasally-ness of my voice when I concentrate on the airflow at the back of my throat, and I basically trained myself to talk 'normal' as I became a teenager, and now my 'normal' voice has barely a hint of The Dweeb, I can talk like a normal guy all day, but The Dweeb has sort of become my alter ego and I can slip into that voice at will. And then for these videos I embellish it by acting extra dorky. 🤓

    • @TechDweeb
      @TechDweeb  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah for sure. If I planned on playing anything 3d on this I'd definitely go for a mini PC. I was actually intending to go that route but I decided on the SCX for this cabinet because I don't intend on playing anything 3d, and the setup was so dang easy, basically plug and play.
