Good luck with trying to get the controller to work with all of the systems without loading cores configuring the controls cause that’s what I had to do it gets very frustrating and annoying each time you want to play a different system unless I got a lemon box.
That’s the same issue I’m trying to have , I mainly wanna play ps2 games and I can’t even dashboard to exit a game , I looked in the manual and used the hot keys it says to exit a game and nothing
This console is pretty good. Mixed performance on the higher end consoles (PS2, GameCube, Wii), but most of the games I wanted to play actually worked pretty good. For the PS2 games, I have them at 2.25 screen resolution and the God of War games, Devil May Cry, NBA & NFL 2K5 work just fine. At 2x resolution, games like Mario Kart Wii, Super Mario Bros Wii, WWE Day of Reckoning 2, and TMNT work good off the Dolphin emulator. Some games run better than others, so you gotta determine if you want to play games that all work under the same settings, or do you want to tweak the settings per game. My preference is the same settings for all games. Also… keep that android remote control because it will come in handy for exiting out of the GameCube and Wii games, in addition to adjusting the volume output on your TV. If y’all need any assistance with how to exit out of the games or getting your game controller to work properly, drop a comment and I’ll help as best as I can!
@@johnhancockretro By the packin controller, I assume you’re talking about the one that came with the console. Putting the controller in android mode solves all those problems. While the console is powered off, hold the home button and A at the same time until the controller lights turn up. Also, keep that remote to the android box in handy as you’ll need to use it to access the menu of the Wii and GameCube, and exit the games or adjust setting as needed. I hope that answers your question.

Yeah I saw a different video actually run the Contra collection provided, I don't know if it will run everything Switch can but it should handle quite a bit of it
What size HDD did you get with this? On the aliExpress listing I see two listings. One with 320gig and ther other with 4tb. The only thing that changes between these is the price. The discretion and amount of games included doesn't change. Yet obviously the 320gig doesn''t hold many games.
Kinhank? Says Hiavenire on the box..its a square hockey puck sized device with a fan vent in the center. It came with 4 ps2 like controllers that are light as he'll but serviceable. I hope that helps. Really not a lot of info on these things for reasons I can imagine. Lol its a few years old.
Seems like the CD audio tracks have been removed for PS1 games. This is a common trick manufacturers of these emulation boxes do to save storage space. So they can cram in more games and increase the game count.
How does this compare to an Nvidia shield? It’s starting to get more and more bloated as time goes on and my emulators don’t run as well as they used to. Does this have decent GPU capabilities to run some retroarch crt shaders?

Is there an easy guide to setting up the packin controller to play ps2, Wii, GameCube.
@@johnhancockretro By the packin controller, I assume you’re talking about the one that came with the console. Putting the controller in android mode solves all those problems. While the console is powered off, hold the home button and A at the same time until the controller lights turn up. Power the console on, and you’ll be good to play any game with the exception of some Wii games. Also, keep that remote to the android box in handy as you’ll need to use it to access the menu of the Wii and GameCube, and exit the games or adjust setting as needed. I hope that answers your question.
Why is it that a lot of the GameCube games won’t load or work while having the remote on Android mode?
@@hectorgarcia5208If the GameCube games aren’t working, that’s because it’s either a rom or emulator issue.
@@HEMSteeel86 do your gamecube games run? I just opened my system out of the box and they don't run. Not sure what to do and I'm unable to really find a solution :( I'd rather not hook this thing up to my internet if I can help it.. any advice or help is super appreciated!!!
I have a stupid question that I honestly can't find an answer for. Do you NEED to run this through a Desktop/Laptop CPU or can you plug this directly into a Smart TV?
You do not need a desktop/Laptop. Any modern TV with a HDMI input will work.
I am wondering if we can take one of those Kinhank 12TB drives and connect it the same as the 4TB on the Super Console x5 Pro and play all those other games too? I believe the 12TB drive has xbox games as well..
Did you buy it? Where did you get it from? Thanks
I periodically cover these and it was sent to me as stated in the description. Link for more info there too.
Just got mine from Amazon
@@craigbfd1how you like it? Ps2 and N64 operate well? Can you tweak resolution if it lags under 60fps?
@@bgkclassic I wound up returning it after it refused to load the ps2 games from the hard drive. Instead I got an Anbernic RG556 handheld which I love, Plays PS2, GameCube,PSP, Saturn and Dreamcast games really well, it has an HDMI out so I can hook it up to the big screen in my Gameroom😃
Nifty device … would you recommend a compatible hard drive enclosure for the hard drive they include?
How hard is it to configure the controllers and to get 2 players?
Nice system but the price prevents me from picking it up. It\s just too hefty for my budget.
I’m going to call the police on you:o 😂😂dude’ PlayStation 2 and GameCube $300.00 Wii and Dreamcast also.. This one was just released also. Thanks for telling me about the controller settings.. Android boxes are like that. Ordered from Aliexpress Northern California 😊😊
Great vid
I figured out how to get the ps2 wii and gamecube emulators to work. U just gotta map the buttons urself when configuring the control.
wow, that's a decent console, bet it will sell well
These everdrives need a left+start rewind rom option like atgames legends flashback 2018 has...
I find it awesome, and hilarious, that it includes Jaguar! Is it using Bigpemu? BTW I love Jaguar and have the actual console.
I am definitely looking at some of these consoles must have Playstation 1 2 and 3.game cube and Microsoft
Hi John, thanks for this video review! You briefly touched on the Atari Jaguar. I would be interested in this unit for the Atari games. Is there a good selection of Jaguar games and are there any issues with playing these games with the included controller? Is the controller XBox compatible?
Good selection of Jaguar, I did not play a ton.
Does the WiiU and Switch emulation actually work?
Yeah I saw a different video actually run the Contra collection provided, I don't know if it will run everything Switch can but it should handle quite a bit of it
What size HDD did you get with this? On the aliExpress listing I see two listings. One with 320gig and ther other with 4tb. The only thing that changes between these is the price. The discretion and amount of games included doesn't change. Yet obviously the 320gig doesn''t hold many games.
4tb
Yeah, I just got this console bro, but I just encountered a problem every time I shut the console off the hard drive is still running. Is that normal?
I wonder if it's got bashido blade.
Yep
Have you tried Iron Storm and Dragon Force on the Sega Saturn? If you have, do they work well on this?
Haven't played VF since it was in the arcades. But The old man that used drunken monkey style every time.
Does this play background music? The device I currently have it has PS1 games but background music doesn't run in most games.
What device do you have?
Power stones was a Sega dreamcast game, not PlayStation portable.
Was ported to psp and show a psp version.
Does this system have the officially licensed version of Block em Sock em on it?
I have same console. But there isnt gamecube in main list. Actually ,it seems when I connect to pc gamecube ,Can we add gamecube games to playlist?
What do you think of the X7 Max?
It looks great !
I bought this exact system a few weeks ago but I can’t seem to get the controls to work. They’re all over the place when you click on the games they just won’t start only ones that fully work are NES could you give me some advice
I mention in the video that I too was having control issues.
It really depends on who sets it up they have a bunch of different people setting these up and there's really great ones at it and there's really horrible ones at it
Hi Mr Hancock, is zeldo oot 3ds version on that? ..... plz say yes and that it runs good
Had anyone been able to get a second controller to work on the x5 pro? The x5 pro came with a gamesir Т3 controller and I bought a T3s as a second controller but can't get it to work. The system identifies both controllers as "Controller Port 1."
Please help 🙏🏼
Can you fit a steering wheel to this device if so which is the best one
Ive purchased 3 different types of these products and they NEVER come woth with instructions or a simple button map. If i tried to change controllers to something other than those sold with the unit, its a disaster.
I did hear you say it does have an instruction manual btw.
Does it come with all the roms already on it? If so I’m im.
Yes
do you have to download all these games or are they all on the system?
Nothing to download
So nothing to install or download? All those games in this video are all on this system when you purchase the system?
@@johnhancockretroif all those games are on there when you buy this system then i have one last question: Where can you buy this system and how much?
Curious can you take the hard drive and hook it to a mini pc?
@John does it have original NARC on it playable??
Hello, I need help with the superconsole x5 pro, I have two gamesir T3 controllers, but I can't get the controllers to play on two players...what should I do? Should I configure the second controller to be able to play games like Tekken? Could you tell me step by step what I should do? An explanation with step-by-step images would help a lot where I should go, thank you....
Can you send me videos or images of how to play 2 players with the gamesir t3 controllers? my email is pajarito639@hotmail.com
Did your games boot up immediately after you clicked the Pegasus icon? I've had this for weeks and when I click on Pegasus, it said no games.
Nope mine worked, check your sata cable connection
Did you figure out the controls for ps2 games ?
I want this... I need to get one before Nintendo sues and shuts it down lol
It doesnt boot up for me. I plug my controller into my laptop and press rvery button but nothing happens. Anyone know a fix?
I really wish this would have an external enclosure for the HDD lol I know it's a sata -> sata connection, but DO they make an enclosure with a sata port on the outside? ALSO.. if you were to get a 'normal' enclosure, COULD you just plug it in via usb3 and it still be plug and play?
Been checking on amazon. Nothing like that. Were you able to ever find something? I need one too.
@@metallives529 unfortunately not
Does the box sometime freeze or reboot? Can you make android games work on it?
I need a small HDMI compatible emulator for vacations.
Where could we get a second control pad for this emulation console? Also, any lag between the wireless joypad and game up to PS1?
8bitdo is the best controller for these consoles by far
Emulation is neccessary for game preservation. 90% or games are currently unavailable for purchase and old hardware will eventually die.
Hey John. I assume two player works, just connect a second Bluetooth controller?
I did not try that but I assume so. No bluetooth as you need wireless receiver for your other controller
@@johnhancockretrook does kinhank sell replacement controllers? Any controller that connects through the usb port would work? Like even wired controllers? Basically want to be able to play two player side scrollers with the wife. But I’m technologically impaired. Still learning about downloading roms and flashing sd cards
How many ps2 and dreamcast games does it have
Looks like there is no music on the PS games...again...
Can you play a ps4 controller for it ?
How do PS2 games look on a large display? Any smoothing done by the box? Thanks
I tried to setup and was not working.
Can you use a n64 controller on this or only the controller that comes with it?
Can you use another drive with more content?
Does anyone who has one of these know what’s going on with the Wii controls I mapped everything I was playing Mario kart and no matter how much I push the button the kart moves slow
Well if anybody out there gets this and can help me I would appreciate I had it up and running yesterday tried to reconfigure the controllers. Now when I reboot the system that just says no games found direct me to Pegasus website which doesn't really do anything. I can't even get into the game after that screen the side panel opens up with settings help and quit but do not respond to the controller at all so I have a $300 piece of crap unless I can get help
You need to unhook the SATA cables and hook them back up again. When you plug up the console, you should hear the hard drive make a noise which indicates it’s operational. The games should be good to load up once you start the Pegasus app.
@HerbJr316 thanks, tried that it didn't do anything it just returns to the screen that says no games found. I did accidentally installed Google by mistake when I was trying to properly configure the controller now the super consult X won't recognize the hard drive and let me have any games
@@loveistruth5713 Respectfully, it sounds like you might’ve messed it up. The thing with those Android Box gaming consoles is you gotta stay within the confines of its setup. I learned the hard way with the original Super Console X. You may need to hook that hard drive up to a computer and check to see if the rom and emulator folders are still on there. If so… copy all the files, get the same model hard drive, put those duplicates on that hard drive, and you should be set.
@@HEMSteeel86 well I don't have a computer or any way to do all that I'm retired I may just have to go through the hassle of sending this back to China
How do I add PS2 games on the device?
Can you connect this to your tv and play or it connects to a desktop computer only?
Connects to a tv
CAN THIS CONSOLE PLAY THE KINHANK 12TB PLUG N PLAY HDD HARD DRIVE?

Is this a good option to add to my At games ultimate arcade machine???
Does it have the original gta Birds Eye view one
I bought this off Amazon, but the wii and the gamcube only load when they want too mostly just shows the Pegasus logo then back to the game selection screen anyone know why?
I restart the system, and GameCube will work again.
