Received mine today and couldn't be happier. My first 'proper' watch.

You missed your opportunity to use Mater from the Cars Movie. Great review and great watch. I can’t quite afford it so I went with a Chinese “Homage” of it, and I wear it on a tropic FKM strap, and I love it. Thanks!

I have a San Martin version that I'll probably review sometime. It's very nice! Trying to avoid Disney copyrighted content! Thanks for watching!

Try reversing the clasp real game changer for comfort 🙌 stops the dive extension rigging in bend of wrist.

Good suggestion. I think I'll try that on my Mini Turtle, because that one does bother me sometimes. Thanks for watching!

it’s the best $1,100 i’ve ever spent. i also have the sje093 which is whole different watch that shares the same dna but it doesn’t replace my 143.

Movement a bit crap as far as accuracy. Same with my slim turtle. Bit of a joke really..

Yeah, Seiko's stated accuracy ranges could definitely use improvement, but I'm glad to be able to regulate them myself. Thanks for watching!

@@worthwhilewatches Yes, just can't see how they can improve this movement when face up , mine gains ten seconds in ten hours when side up, it loses the same. When worn, it is near enough perfect. I just can't see how this can be regulated with this broad variance. My Planet Ocean and even my Hydroconquest are both zero tolerance in any position. I just feel, with Seiko's pricing, we deserve a proportionate value for money with their quality in this regard. Longines on the second hand market kills Seiko in this mid tier market, especially as a Hydroconquest, an entry level luxury watch, for example can be picked up at the same price as one of these Seiko's. It is impossible to regulate this Seiko movement to maintain the higher level of accuracy, plain and simple. To achieve this from Seiko, they need to look at their SLA movements.

@@Profile659 Well that's objective. The Hydroconquest imo kills it in looks aswell..

@@Zeus-kj7nnthe dial on the hydroconquest looks too busy and the numbers are way too big
