- Hey, how's it going everyone?! I'm Phlinger Phoo and welcome to Ark: Basics. Today we are going to discuss everything you need to know about the Dodo. How to tame a Dodo. How to make Dodo kibble and what uses it has in Ark: Survival Evolved.
Honestly, the fact that you managed to make a 21 minute video covering the Dodo is impressive enough on its own. But making it entertaining on top of that takes serious skill. Bravo, sir.

I have like 8 dodos, they're absolutely useless and their only purpose is to lay eggs and make funny sounds but I love them.

I tame them to farm
I just tame like 30 in the beginning of the game
They are extremely useful for making simple kibble which is very useful for the daeodon (the pig) to eat during boss fights whem it's healing your rexes

Love the videos Phlinger! Small clarification... I think you meant to say that small crop plots can ONLY be used for berries and that you need medium or larger for vegetables. I use my small plots for narcoberries and mejoberries to have lots of taming goodies on hand without dino farming them.

I currently have 18 dodos gaurding my house and they're kinda annoying how they walk off but I love em' anyway, especially because they feed my egg eaters.
Load them up with rocks so they can't move.

Great video Phlinger! Do you know if wild dodo lay more or less eggs than tamed dodo? I’m an ark noobie and have 6 wild dodo in a pen (5 female ,1 male)
Didn't even mention strapping C4 to them, still an impressive video!
you can use dodos as moving c4. just put on a dodo c4 (give dodo health and speed), tell it to attack an enemy and blow the c4. (sorry for bad English)

In ark mobile you can unlock differant scales and at 3.0 you can ride them
They have a lot more uses on mobile then on PC apparently, like dodo revenge that gives them a melee boost, Butt stomp when they get to 4 or 5 on the scale, breed them smaller to 0.78 then they become shoulder pets with an impressive knock back when set aggressive while on your shoulder.
I use them for fertilizer
and eggs
I have bread a dodo of 3.11 size.
Here to find out what the hell I am supposed to do with it now (aside from the obvious: keeping it alive, looking at it, cuddling it, making it run, riding it...)

My favorite thing to do with dodos is strap c4 on them then throw it towards a dino target it then detonate it
If you pet your livers it will make you anmuls level up wider

Very good video, but "super easy" kibble? I had to laugh about that one since I am just getting started in the game and don't have all the improvements, or skills you do. You may have made your avatar look low level, but clearly that isn't true. He is far from low level and has a large number of levels finished already. Maybe in another hundred hours of game play I can do half of what you did already and be able to use the "recipe" for kibble. Until then, I have a lot to do before I can make some.

I've always wanted to super breed a army of super bred war dodos as base defense.
Also irl dodos big reason for being hunted to extinction and reputation of idiocy is their tendency to charge and attack enemies they had no chance of defeating to defend their nests/eggs. Not as depressing as what you'll hear about the stellar's sea cow but still.... Also spread word of stellar's sea cow/ look into it if you want to loose faith in humanity.

Thats absolutely not everything you need to know about dodo. You missed out the breed time the command list .and when they die or when to feed them and how.
You missed about 80% of dodo job
