For any newer players: The following is purely my own opinion, but i think it is worth sharing a tested base location that works well. That ridge he was running up at 7:51 is an EXCELLENT hill-top location for an outpost or even a main base once you have reached the stone structures stage. There is a natural dino pen at the rear (the "T" shaped trench), which could also be used to make any taming pens. Just be sure to wall of the ends with dino/behemoth gates. There is a forest at the other side of the trench for near unlimited wood and thatch. There are river rocks and large boulders everywhere in the trench and in front of the river (for loads of metal, stone, and flint), and redwood trees right across the river (which has sabertooth salmon, coalicanths and piranha) for plenty of sap, and bee hives for honey. Just place dino gates near the bottom of the hill and start/end either side of those gates at points where the trench is to steep for wild dinos to climb. Then just build your structure within that space and you should have plenty of extra outdoor space between the base and the gates for your dinos to park without having to worry about wild dinos attacking. Personally, I find it to be the best overall location for a base on The Island. The only thing it is bad for is deep sea taming and resource collection for pearls, since you are at the center of the map not near the ocean or any clam spawns. But you can easily build at a 2nd location for that (I recommend) to the West close to the Red Obelisk or "The Moshpit" referenced in this video.

What about Spinos water buff?
JP Holt the Broodmother is legit a bug, megatherium will do like 500 damage to it every hit depending on level. The water buff is no match for that.
Use rexes and raptors with a yut.
Use a megatherium like they spawn insect minions that give you a stam boost and it’s gonna just wreck it if you have a fully imprinted megatherium

Ark beginner chronicles ... Yup that's an epic title
If this series is still running, c could be concepts
You point out the mountain that you refer to as giga mountain, did they take gigas off the island? I've only been playing a couple of months and have not seen one.
Use captain fat dog Rex trap it is way cheaper only needs 14 pillars and works really well.
I’ve found some really nice TEK REXES and I’m breeding an ARMY OF TEK REXES. They’re BLUE and SILVER with GREEN LIGHTS!!!
I only need one or two rexs for a boss but I put the damage of tamed Dino’s up
Just a question.... Why aren't You using Gigasaurs for bosses?
When gigas take certain damage they enter rage mode and atack everything including allies plus they are very rare and difficult to tame
@@FacheroAmaya there is also the fact that gigas are not allow into bosses.
C FOR CRAFTING
Rexies yay \o/ roar roar roar
Go, Phlinger, go!!!
I found a 150 purple and green one I wanted to tame it and call it barney it went well and it somehow got out the taming pins killed me killed my argint killed me again and my pteranodon trying to retrieve my stuff after I got killed 6 time I decided to give up and do a dino wip just to get my stuff back
What the coordinates of your base? I see it on the map but can’t quite find the exact location
Ingene I’m very jealous.
Level 2 I found only took 4 trank arrows with a primitive crossbow
Mustve been teally low level
I have a question, is there a difference between op mutation stacked Rex and op imprinted Rex
Ive got a level 3429 rex with
137350 health
132 movement speed
17587 melee
4680 weight
825 oxygen
And
9702 stamina
Is that considered overpowered?
That's called a boosted server/cheats
So I know what to shot for what’s good stats on health and attack for a tamed Rex I’m going to guess at least 10000 health and 400% attack
I tamed a 65 yesterday it’s 3x so it was 139 and it died coming back to my base by a 15 insect killer megatherium
I don't understand why a high level is better. If you get a low level then you can put more levels into health instead of food or oxygen or whatever.
Dino's can only be leveled 78 times before they hit cap, doesn't matter what level they were tamed at, it's the same.
@@Phlinger Oh small animal feces, I didn't know that.
Yo i want to do it all with Therizinos wich i currently breed. Will i be fine with 20/20 Melee and 10/20 HP or should i max them out?
Howdy and thanks for another good ABC 👍🏻 is Soloing the Ark on hold??? Missing it!
Doing the bosses so lots of time in between episodes as I grind up the ammo and stuff. Next StA tomorrow.
Glad i could see the Trex trap smh
Oh yeah I've had a couple of problems in that place just outside of the ice place yeah, whil I was taking wolves two rexes got on my hair and almost killed my argee this is why you just don't spend the whole day in a taming pen and your argee is just outside
🎶 Sweet home alabama 🎶
I knocked out a level 6 rex whit a longneck just for my first rex and he knocked out whit 3 shout 😐
My game sitting has problems?
I am your subscriber and I like the way you are explaining everything, I recently started playing Ark, I have a question, when I go offline and leave my base in official server, what aggression settings should I keep on my two Rex so if any random dino spawns, tries to attack them so they will fight and save the base.
Bruh ik this is an old comment but it's an OFFLINE server when you log off nothing happens
Phlinger: you gotta breed super Rexes
Me: *laughs in Pokemon Trainer*
Me: hey phlinger do you meen shiny rexes
I know this is old but new ark player here I'm playing story mode on the island but I dont find dino over a hundred level I only get 99 down is there something i could do to fix that and if so should i start over cause I'm level 80 but no dinos in the hundred level i got two trex but there lower level both girls
Incorrect Information, No creature in the game loses levels while taming. Taming effectivness only allows the tamed creature to gain levels based on 100% not lose them. If your playing solo, I suggest adjusting the levels of weight for tamed creatures. It will give you a less grindy experence
