The underground resistance is also packed with amazing riffs despite it not being black metal per se and Rust from the album Hate Them is a refreshing return to old school black metal in three movements
honestly i grew to hate most of these riffs because of how overused they are in black metal but in retrospective for the time it was so creative yet simple, hats off to these guys and hats off to you for the playing and the beautiful guitar
So FREAKIN' AMAZING^^ i LISTEN THIS ALMOST EVERY DAY! I start with 0,5 x Speed. 1.0 x Speed, etc... Every time it sounds different, but still works like magic^^ EDIT: Nevermind, let's just skip the 1.0 x Speed to 1.5 x
@@bratislavmusic Thank you too^^ Even one of my friend who isn't that into blackmetal noticed this video and he even said it sounded really good to him.
Thank you for your feedback. It's Fishman Fluence Modern pickup and STL Tonality - Andy James guitar plugin. I guess I should make a video on my sound one day. Welcome to my channel🤘🤘
I like Darkthrone mostly for vocals, occasional doomer song like To Walk the infernal fields, and the frostbiting chilling atmosphere created by semi lofi production(under a funeral moon is imo the best representation of black metal sound to this day, regarding production, not obnoxiously gritty resulting in every sound blending together like Trans hunger, but still sounding enough distorted and lofi to create that chilling sound), but riff wise I found most of their material 2 simple, early bm and their later crust punk stuff both. melodies consisting of 4 bm triads tremolo picked through whole song with blast beat spam under, not as original as fe Burzum or Grausamkeit to say the least. But occasional more complex song like slottet in fjerne, or quintessence, which despite its relatively simple sound makes me happy everytime I find new little wrinkle like double palm mute here or swift hammeron there, all buried under the sonic wave of heavy distortion is what keeps me happy whenever this band comes in my random playlist blasting from speakers.
@@init-crioxica How is it going man? I guess it's Punchy Rhythm for one guitar and Amp 1 or Rhythm 2 for the second guitar. The video has been published over a year ago. No other plugins and effects. Cheers🤘

The dance of eternal shadows, the second riff is just amazing
This guy knew which riff people expected most and put it in the end. Smart move.
Thanks for your comment. Actually, I wasn't thinking about it. I just took the first 4 albums and the songs order is the same as on the albums.
@@bratislavmusic alright, then Darkthrone themselves knew which riff rocks most and put it in the end :D

Thank you for your kind words. As far as I can remember it should be standard tuning.
Dude, where'd you get your pants from???
Are these E standard tunings or some of these are with D#/D standards?
And awesome riffs playing by the way!
Hey, how is it going? I decided to use one guitar so all riffs were in E standard.

They should be all in E standard. The video has been made a year and a half ago. I guess I wanted to play all the riffs in one tuning
