Plus VSC has already spent the time and money why would they spend even more time and money redoing the engine. Also I think there are regulations that they have to follow as well especially for rally which is why they didn't use the fa24 there.

It was about time Subaru made a new engine in FA24 and it is a good engine and maybe great after years later. Just wish new VB owners can enjoy their car without having to always compare to previous STI and bash it.

I know a fella with a '22 WRX (US model) he did similar mods as the s209 had, larger turbo, intercooler spray, catback exhaust, intake, tuned ECM it made 402 & 382 hp/tq
According to an article I read, the s210 is japan only with a very limited amount being sold. Will probably be similar or less numbers then the STI ej20 final edition they produced.
@HeavyMetalWRX the issue is, they are getting an upgrade going to sti transmission but since there is no "2022+ sti transmission" it's a "downgrade" so to speak being previous generation, they would HAVE to develop a new transmission that is designed for the VB
There will be one s210 for sure,but it will be a s4 s210,which means it is a cvt wrx probably with some wheel and brake upgrade,it won't be a STI like before,subaru won't only put STI trans in only 200 cars,unless there is a real normal vb STI,you need a completely factory line to build a cae like that and if it only work for 200 cars,the price will go to the moon...and it won't come to US
This isn't Subarus job to make this. It's STI. They don't have to put a CVT in anything. They have also never put a CVT in a S car, only S4. Theh out a EJ20 in the s208 where as the production car had the EJ25. It seems the production models aren't templates for STI.
You can buy these bbs wheels from Japan sti, why I never seen these sti bbs wheel with the TR? Imagine these wheels with 6 piston brakes from the TR? Add in some sti off the shelf parts you can easily make a S210 in the states easy , funnily enough all I see people changing wheels are the people with no 6 piston brembo and little brakes .

@@JoeyC-nr5yk I don't know if that's a great idea If you're looking for gas mileage but you could just fill up like a 30 gallon drum or maybe three or four five gallon buckets and then just have some gas to blend when you fill up at your 93 by your house.

Let me know what you’re thinking man! I also do plan on bringing E85 home for storage.

@@gengiz technically they don't. Some of the S models (s207) as an example we're not based on the existing STI of that generation to begin with. That's the beauty of the STI division. They are not limited to what Subaru is doing and are not really affected by the CAFE since they are not mass producing vehicles. Of course we will just have to wait and see and I hope that we have good news and not bad news.

If you're referring to the transmission, STI could out in a TY85 if they want. In 2017 they took the VA , removed the EJ25 and put in an EJ20. Anything is possible for them.

@@ttis3701 incorrect. MSRP of a base 2021 wrx was $27,495. Base 2022 wrx was $29,605. Of course there would be an increase, it's a brand new generation that was upgraded in every way. Now, the base MSRP of a 2024(which has more features) is $32,735. The 2024 base comes with the upgraded 11.6" infotainment and also comes with eyesight driver assist technology, both of which the '22 base didn't have. And believe me, I am for Trump. But inflation has occurred in every country, not just the US.

My guess would be the S210 is JDM exclusive, and then a S211 for the USDM in 2026

It's going to be a TR/TS with higher boost, nothing more than anything a mild tune on a stock car would give.
Considering the previous S cars came setup for the track it's exciting to wonder how well it's going to handle out of the box.
